Received a call today at noon that was a little strange.
Man on phone spoke pretty quick and stated he was from our company office and that he needed to get verification of our address and phone number and manager name for the data base. He told me our address and our phone number.
He proceeded to tell me that once the call was over and we hung up that the phone would ring back and give me a code, to which he would call back and retrieve. I interrupted him a number of times, to somewhat slow him down and also to validate who he was/ or was supposed to be.
On the ring back the recorded message stated this is your code number for your Craig list, 54129.
His final call he asked for the code, I asked his name and what dept he worked for and who he worked for- he stated the info and then either asked or stated that this was being recorded and then he abruptly hung up.
