965-000- is NOT a valid U.S. area code; but, according to the International Exchange Listings in my Verizon directory, it is THE valid KUWAIT area code (no city code/exchange[?] needed, so 000 may also be valid). I never answer because of the 000, but I looked up the information in my phonebook... out of curiosity, yesterday. Information from the 2011-2012 Verizon SuperPages - a matter of opinion, mostly theirs.

Just called me for second time. We do not have credit cards. He hung up. I'm pissed. Who are these guys?

This number is on my caller ID that someone called at 25:58 4/28 with no company name and no message was left. As I read the comments, I am glad I missed that call. The first clue that it is a scam is the 000 for the start of the phone number after the area code and the second that no company name comes ups on the Caller ID. A legit company would want you to know its name and have traceable phone number as they would want you to be able find them - not hide behind "000" as an exchange. This should be illegal.
Sounds like they are just trying to get credit card info for identity theft

I have also been getting calls from this number. Today was the first time I actually answered. After reading how rude they were I decided to answer just to get a person on the line. I have a very loud horn (much louder than a whistle) that I got just for these type of calls. As soon as the person came on, I let them hear the horn. He hung up fast, but I bet his ear is still ringing. I wouldn't do that accept for someone rude that is also trying to rip people off. I hope I ruined his day.

I had a call from this number as well. The man was rude about getting my information (which I did not give him thank God) and refused to give me any information about the company he was calling from. The man ended up hanging up on me. I was actually just trying to look up a number that started out the same way. 965-000.?..

This was an automated call asking about lowering my credit card interest rates. I don?t have a credit card so I hit the number to speak with someone to tell them not to call my house anymore. I?m also on the do not call list. I was half way through respectfully not to call my house anymore when he hung up on me. Any company who treats someone like this is a scam and a criminal is speaking with you trying to get your information. Do not deal with the company that comes back on the caller ID starting out as 965-000-(any #).
