The block called list does not work for this number.  I tried but the call got through anyway.

I received 3 calls yesterday and 2 today from 966-929-5306. After I posted, on here yesterday, about the calls I did some checking. I found out 966 is not a valid area code in the US but is calling code for Saudi. As some previous posts, I too am behind on Capital One, after I became unemployed. I've gotten calls from them but it's been from 866 area code before. After I read some posts here I checked the numbers that they've called from before and one of the previous numbers is exactly the same with the exception that the area code is 866. I did file a complaint with the FCC on the 966 #.

I have been receiving numerous calls from this number.  I usually do not answer and they don't leave any messages. I get alot more then 2 calls a day from them.  I just received another call from them about 3 hours ago only this time I answered it. The lady who did not have any type of foriegn accent, said her name was Renee, I could tell she was calling from a call center because of the background noise.  I told e2her the party she was calling for has not had this number in a long time.  She said OK, and we both hung up but I received another call from that number  about a half hour later. I didn't answer and they didnt leave a message.

Thanks for info.  I am also running behind on Capital One but I desided they will not be paid because I had 2 cards with them. 1 for $5000.00 and 1 for $500.00. In June of 2009 they allowed a merchant to force a charge through that took me over my limit by $500.00. In August 2009 the new credit card rules came out that said if you wanted to be protected on over the limit charges, you had to opt into the program. I did opt into the program because I did not want my cards going over the limit. Because the new rules said they could not charge over the limit fees if the consumer did not opt into the program I would have expected them to reject any charge that might exceed the limit, but just a few weeks after the new rules went into affect the same merchant forced another charge through, only this time it was on the card with the $500.00 limit and the forced charge put that card over the limit by $900.00.  I was amazed because they would not increase  my credit limit but they would allow a merchant to force an overcharge that is almost twice as much as the limit. That's crazy. They have never charged any over the limit fees on the 2nd forced charge. I disputed the 2nd forced charge because I had since discovered that the first forced charge which I thought my daughter had authorized was not authorized. They reversed it  then put it back on saying the card had been present at the time of the charge and they wanted some documentation. They didn't have the mantality to understand that the card was not present, that I nor my daughter had ever been to that branch of that merchant and that it was a total fraud.That the transaction was not authorized and the purchase was never made, therefore there was no documentation.  We were only able to find out that the same person who forced the 1st charge through had been transfered to the location where the 2nd charge was forced through and was the same person who forced the 1st charge.  There are some otheer issues concerning the rate of interest which they had jacked up a couple of years prior and refused to reduce back down to the correct rate even after the card had a zero balance on it for over a year.   Make a long story short I am part of the 99% of the people who banks like to cheat, so if they want my money, they can wait in line and when they are the next in line the only thing they will get is a Notice of Automatic Stay in a Chapter 7 proceeding.

         Was the phone number 966-929-5306 contained inside the email?    If it was how did they get your email address?  If it was not contained in the email, how do you know it is from the same people?
Also if it is contained in the email, and you still have the email please open the email, right click on the sender, select "copy shortcut" and paste the results in a reply to me here on this site. Doing that will give us the actual source of the email which may help us all to determine exactly who these people are.   Thanks.

Hey Nemo,   You didn't say anything about having answered a call from 966-929-5306. If you did answer a call from them please tell us all what happened.  If you did not answer a call from them, you block their number and they then use another number to call you, how will you know both calls are coming from the same people?

I've had several calls from this number recently   Will not answer as I've heard too much about scams that originate from 966 area codes.  People have been charged huge amounts on their phone bills just from answering these calls.  Suggest checking your bills closely.

Called me twice yesterday, once again this morning...they are asking for someone, who i know....but died recently....last month....I asked them to take my number off their list....and received 2 more calls....and I said I was going to report them, and they hung up.....JERKS!

Got it guys, it's Capital One!  That makes sense cause I'm late by about a month.

I as well kept getting these calls on my cell phone yesterday and this morning but I never answer the calls nor did they leave a message either then this morning I got an email as well stated they were trying to call me again it is one of those letters that they want to wire you money ($1.5 million) but never explain why that money is being transfer to me, the name on this is Dr.John Ben, I google this name but no fraud thing on this name but I did google the phone #, glad I did. Lesson here is always if there is  a # you don't recognize  google it, I do all the time.

Received 3 calls from 9669295306 today. No message left when I didn't answer and when I did answern no one said anything  and when I called back I heard "you have used a wrong code or number not valid".  I haven't checked to see where it's coming from but I'm on the do not call list so I will be reporting it.

Just got a call from 966-929-5306. Google says 966 is from Saudi. No message left. Probably a scam!

same here got 3 from them today how did there get my number just did the block ... let see if there use a new number if so i be change my number ASAP.

This number has been calling me at least twice a day for about a week.  The last call was 10 minutes ago.

Whoever this (fill in the blank) is has called SEVEN times today & it's only 4pm. Off to the blocked list for them!  I hate these no message a-holes!

Have received 2 calls today also.  The first one I answered and no one was there. The 2nd one I was outside and no message left!

this number just called. no message.  don't know whats goin on here.

Two today. My original assumption was a bill collector but unless they've shifted their call center to Saudi Arabia [that the only connection I can find online for free] who knows.

I received two phone calls from this number while I was sleeping this morning. No message left. A quick google search says it's a Saudi Arabia number and most likely tied into a scam (which is likely seeing how other people here received calls today too).

I just got one too!

I have gotten two calls on my cell phone today from 966-929-5306.  No one leaves a message, but I'm concerned, I looked it up and one info page says its from the UK the other says its from Saudi Telecom.  I'm scared if somebody across the world can get my private phone number.  Thanks to you George W. Bush/Saudi King of warrantless wiretapping!!!
