Regards of the name of the company, the SCAM remains the same.  Air pollution survey, "free gift", high pressure sales for a lousy over-priced vacuum cleaner.  You guys are scum.  Bottom feeders who prey on the uninformed who fall prey to your slimy sales techniques.

Sad that somethings NEVER CHANGE!!!! I worked for this company as well!   ALL OF THE MANAGEMENT were in agreement with EVERYTHING so made it extremelym difficult to feel as though there was an " open door policy " ya right!!  If you were black you were definitely not wanted there I know!!! I watched several of my friends get fired for "false surveys "!!!! Hmmmmm interesting guess if you weren't selling or buying weed
from good ol Kara or other management, then you were on there sh#% List!!! Bunch of drunks and druggies for management .....nice way to run a "business" !!!!

I worked for Filtropur for about a week. I was screamed at on the phone by my boss multiple times a day. I was forced to work 10-12hr days with no breaks. I had to drive extreme distances for a demo and was repeatedly 'lied' to. I say 'lied' because they often times just bend the truth. Originally I was told I would make 30% of every sale.. so that would be around $450, turns out, its 30% of the sale, about MY cost.. so my cost is $1499, I sold one for $1599 and made a whole woppin $30. NEVER WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. They will scam you out of money, and their trainers and managers are such good talkers, they can convince you of anything. I can't believe I fell for this scam. The products are great, but honestly, I'd rather be in a nazi concentration camp than to work for them. Trent from the Fargo, ND location will freak out on anyone who wastes a single penny. He is a penny pinching troll. BEWARE OF FILTROPUR!

This whole place is run like garbage. First off i was a recent representative. In my training class we started off with 9 people. Day 1 they introduce the first two items you will be "demonstrating." They promised a $1099 bi-weekly pay for every 30 demos you do. Then they send you all over the state, and even other states and sometimes don't even send you more than one demonstration. Driving all over the place to only do a third of a days work isn't actually work. They short you on gas, and come up with excuses, then "lose" paperwork just so they don't have to give it to you. If you don't sell you get yelled at. If you do it to quick you get yelled at. They mislead representatives and don't actually create a low-pressure situation at all for costumers. Because if you don't sell the first time, you call the boss and he marks it down, sometimes two or three times until people are fed up and get mad,(understandable i would be too). The office is disorganized, the representatives, customers, and phone room are mistreated by Donovan and Robin. Be weary of working for them, buying from them, anything. They currently owe me money that i have to go through the court to get. Everything about this company is sketchy and they need to be shut down or made to run like an actual company. Read the fine print!

I called a number on a card I got in the mail; the card said Filtropur, and at first they said they were selling Filter Queen when I asked, then someone else there said no, but in either case, I wouldn't like either one of these vacuums because they're "bagless", so I guess the point is moot, at least for me.  Anyway, I apologize if I confused anyone, but they confused me when I called the number that said I had won something and they identified themselves as one company and then another.  Must have been a new phone employee or something.

Something else that is strange to me, too....I got this thing from a company selling something they're calling "Filtropur", which I wondered if it was related to Filter Queen, so I called, and they said yes, then someone else came onto the line and said no, so now I'm totally confused.  They're probably related somehow, somewhere, but they're not saying for sure.  At least not here where I live.

Either your two units were demonstrated before and the books were lost, or they were reposessed and then sold to you as "new"......a lot of these door-to-door companies got in trouble for doing that recently.  Check and make sure that you did, in fact, purchase a new unit and not a used one.  The fact that both units were missing the manuals is highly suspect to me.

That poker card is VERY deceptive, you have to admit that, and senior citizens are the people who are most at risk for falling for this crap.  I own a Kirby and another all-metal canister (Air-Way Sanitizor) with a 14-layer cellulose bag an activated charcoal filter and hepa filtration plus an antimicrobial fiberglass filter; between these two vacuum cleaners, the Filter Queen salesman wasn't able to find any dirt at all in my house.  Period. Bagless vacuum cleaners really defeat any sense of sanitation, as far as I'm concerned; Air-Way invented and patented the very first disposable dust bag, made out of cellulose, like the filter cones that Filter Queen uses.  The very instant that the patent was up for the disposable dust bag, all of the others jumped on it and created their own versions.  It's crazy to me that the bagless design would once again become all the rage, since disposable dust bags are far more sanitary and easier to dispose of.  What comes around, goes around.....people will once again realize just how important and convenient and sanitary disposable dust bags are, especially when one considers how bacteria are becoming more and more resistant to antibiotics.   Back during the Tuberculosis epidemic, before anyone else could also sell a disposable bag, nearly all of your hospitals and government buildings used Air-Way Sanitizors exclusively.  In this day and age of cleaner air awareness, it just baffles me that anyone would even want a bagless vacuum cleaner, let alone having to empty it.  But, that's just me.

Yes, they are definitely lying about what they're actually trying to do, sell you a very expensive and, in my opinion, inferior-performing vacuum cleaner.  I got duped into sitting through another high-pressure demo a few months ago after having had to sit through the same damned thing a few years earlier, which was actually when I first saw it and decided that I didn't like it or need it, and it would have been hysterically funny if the guy hadn't over-stayed his welcome and wouldn't take his cue to leave; we actually had to get up and put our coats on and walk out and get into our car before he would take the hint and just LEAVE!  This time, I asked repeatedly if this was another demo for Filter Queen vacuum cleaners, and I was repeatedly lied to and told "No".  I told them that if it was for a Filter Queen vacuum cleaner, I wasn't interested at all, because it's a "bagless" canister vacuum, and like all bagless vacuums, it is extremely messy and totally unsanitary to empty the dust container, no matter what the design is, a trap door at the bottom that opens and drops the dirt into the trash can, creating a large dust plume that you end up inhaling, or a bucket or bin that you must turn upside down, which is even filthier.  The "bagless" design of dirt disposal sort of defeats the anti-allergy claims, don't you think?

The thing that REALLY gets me is that they sell based upon health claims and clean air, yet you must directly expose yourself to piles of dust and dirt when you empty it.  Second, there's the actual cleaning performance: relatively poor.  The salesman couldn't find any dirt in my carpets, furniture, or draperies at all!!  He kept staring back at the canister in sheer amazement because he couldn't find any dirt, lol.  I tried to tell him when he first arrived and I realized that it was Filter Queen that I have a Kirby and an Air-Way Sanitizor that does an excellent job of cleaning and filtering; I also have a whole-house electronic air cleaner and UV light system that runs constantly with my heating and cooling system's blower unit.  So, as anyone can see, I don't need this very expensive and mostly PLASTIC vacuum cleaner......that does only a mediocre job of removing sand and grit from your carpet.  The guy actually ended up putting all of his body weight onto the power nozzle in an attempt to get the thing to pick up something, anything at all!  If anything, he was impeding the airflow, making a bad situation even worse.

My point in all of this is that, in my opinion, they use less than truthful methods to gain entry into a victim's house, and oftentimes, they flat-out lie when asked a direct question.  Yes, I realize that I own two other "expensive", door-to-door-type vacuum cleaners (that other people have also complained about, regarding sales techniques) but at least they work quite well and they do what they say they'll do: remove most, if not all, of the hidden, ground-in dirt and sandy, wearing grit, which is what ruins carpet to begin with, and second, they both clean the air and, in the case of the Air-Way Sanitizor, disinfect the air of mold spores, bacteria, and viruses.  Figure in Kirby's lifetime rebuild warrany (they do a stellar job when you send it in to be remanufactured after close to 30 years of service) and to me, you have a superior product.  No thanks, Filter Queen......I'll pass, with pleasure.

if a company wants good reviews, they need to be honest and treat their customes right.I had to pay $36. to send my vacuum in for repairs after being told I wouldn't have to pay shipping. It took 12 days to recieve  a box sent to me from the company, and it took 2 days for the company to recieve the vacuum from me.It's been in for repair for almost a week now and I haven't heard anything from the company. When I purchased it, I was told the merchandise would be replaced if it broke for any reason....?????

I purchased a vacuum and  an air purifier, and neither came with manuals, we had to call the company and have them send some. My problem with the merchandise is the cheap quality of the material they are made from. Even worse they took my other vacuum which was a higher quality item, now my filtropur vacuum in in the shop for repairs and I have to go buy something else until they return it, no wonder so many customers are unhappy with the product.

Received a scratch off card in mail. Play a hand of poker. Wouldn't you know I was the 10,0000 grand prize winner.(It says on card that order of winning hands does not match order of prizes) Very tricky! Called number and found out that the Broadview Hts. Allergy Center was setting up appointments to come out to house and demo the Filtropur product. I asked if the Grand prize had been awarded yet? They said no. Reps who come to home have the master key chart to tell each homeowner what they have won after there demo.( said to last no more than a hour) ? Of course they wanted to set up a day but the Mon coming was only day I could do it but they had nothing available so I asked to be called if they had a cancelation. They did call and said they had a cancelation would I take it? Asked the woman on the phone that it says on the card that to get prize you are not obligated to do so. She put me on hold for a long time. She came back on and said " Ok so someone will be there at 1:30 is that good?" I said excuse me but what happened to the question I asked? She acted like she didn't have a clue. I said that I asked her about isn't it so that I was not obligated to view a display of product and you put me on hold obviously to ask someone as how to respond. She said that she was talking to someone else about something else and apologized. I asked question again! She responded that I could come in to place where she is at and they could read the card and give prize out. (Isn't that funny, before she told me that only the reps who come out to people's home have the master key chart) When I said someone could come at the time set up for demo she said Ok then you and your husband will be there and they will demo for you. I said hold on there, My husband won't be here and no one ever mentioned that was a requirement. She said well he has to be there so let's reschedule a time you both will be there. I said no thanks and hung up. (Never had any intention to let them into my house)Wanted to see how far I could get before I figured out there scam. Hope all who read this w/ throw any such card in the garbage where it belongs. Called my husband and he is on way home because he is worried, never know what kind of people could show up at my door. Be  aware!!!

i am a new recruit to this company, i had my reservations about joining this company at first, after doing some research on my own i am confident with this product.  to the people saying there systems broke, well u do know that it is guaranteed for life, all u have to do is take a picture, call the manufacturer or the TVA home office in fort collins, they will replace your product.

to those that say you arent trained properly, well u didnt pay attention or ask the right questions, i have found that my trainer is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.  the first day he told us that WE WERE NOT SALES PEOPLE, WE ARE DEMO PEOPLE!, he said he didnt hire sales people because they were too pushy and he didnt want pushy people, just people who could learn about and stand behind a great product.

i have never heard any one on the phone talking to the people that they are pre qualifying, however, you people are allowing these people to come into your homes to demo the products, because u want the free gift.  now even though we arent at your homes to be sales people, we are obviously trying to sell a product by demonstrating how it can benefit your health, this is the ONLY air filter system on the market approved by the FDA as a class 2 medical device for serious medical problems, so  this should have been obvious from the start.  what company doesnt want to sell their product?
the company that manufactures filtropur do not advertise on tv, internet radio etc.. they way they advertise is by doing in home demos.  thats what we are paid for.   YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED to buy anything, all u have to do is say thank you, but im not interested.

about the demo itself, my office doesnt sell the vacuums anymore as far as i know.  we only demo the filter and hvac filter, and the demo only takes about an hour. so the three hours most are talking about is probably cause of the vacuum.  and in my training we were told not to be pushy or rude, if people dont want the product then thats their decision, move on and go to the next appointment.  i will never ever try to con someone into buying or be pushy or rude, i dont need to be, the product will sell itself to those who want it, if u dont then thats your prerogative.

i simply ask that if u have negative feed back about our company or product that you contact the office, and state your case in a reasonable manner, please do not slander or bash our company just because you had one bad experience, we maybe able to use your experience good or bad to better our employees. like i said before, i just started with this company, but so far i am behind the products, i will even purchase the filter for my home, i have children, and i want them to breathe the cleanest air possible.

That's impossible... it has a built in breaker that I've personally seen switch off right when the electric grid shorts out from a clump of dirt. Maybe whoever had the product that went up in flames should have read the owners manual and changed the filter... like you do with any product that has an intake. Car, vacuum, central air in a home, xbox 360... literally anything with suction or containing a fan should be either cleaned or have the filter replaced.

After reading these reviews it makes me disgusted with the company I THOUGHT I worked for. It obviously is a huge scam, I know first hand that it is. I mean come on, I worked for the company. The marketing agents are trying to approve you so the reps can call and solicit, with "free gifts". Although the "free gifts" are a bunch of bull. They make it sound like the 3 day 2 night vacation is completely legit, when they only pay for your hotel and it's not a great hotel, AT ALL. So really it's not free. As far as the other prizes go, they're a bunch of crap too. VERY cheaply made. They claim they're not like the big vacuum companies like Kirby and Rainbow but they are EXACTLY like them. The system itself is poorly made, and for the price, it's outrageous. As far as working there goes, it's always promises never fulfilled. Little details about pay, are misconstrued. And to be honest the people that should be professional, are not even close to being professional. Cussing in the phone rooms, offices, and presentations. That's all I have to say. Don't fall for them, really. They're not as legit as they appear to be.

It was NOT recalled for heating up to the point where it caused fires.  It was recalled to upgrade it so that people who do not maintain the machine will not allow it to plug up to that point.  Its an UPGRADE.  Funny how people who haven't even purchased or fully know how the system runs can complain.  Ignorance is the only explanation.  Its an investment to you health and home.  Its your choice to live the way you choose. If you want to live with filth, that's your call I suppose.

Ask yourself... do you complain to your auto dealer when they tell you your car needs oil changes or gas?  Do you yell at them because they didn't tell you your car would need gas once or twice a week or an oil change every 3k miles??
