I just had the same call from Wells Fargo - i don't even bank with them.

I live in Utah too. Just got the same message 2 mins ago. I have a Google number, so I can just block it.

After the robot voice asks you for your 16-digit account number, it will then ask you for your EXP DATE. Then it will ask you for your PIN.

I didn't even enter ANYTHING for the EXP DATE or PIN, and then at the end of the call, the robot voice said my account was now unlocked and reactivated!!!

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!

Received a recorded call on my cell phone from this number at 12.31pm today sayng that my Wells Fargo credit card had been blocked and to press 1 to get to an assistant to help me. I hung up as I DO NOT have any accounts at Wells Fargo.

I have had this call twice now sayin my credit cars has been stolen. The first time was about 2 months back now, 9 this morning they called again. This is irritating, I don't even have a credit card ha. Idiots... (Utah)

Received a call from them saying my wells fargo card has been cancelled. I don't have a wells account but wanted to mess with them. I put some fake 16 digit card numbers in and they said it wasn't valid. I really wanted to speak to a real person but there was no way. I hope no one falls for this scam. I also live in Utah so obviously this scam is across the entire country.

Just received a call implying that they are from Wells Fargo Bank saying my debit card had been "Locked" and to press #1 to speak to someone in custotmer service to unlock it.  Obviously a scam.  This is the third call like this in the last 24 hours....Gephart had a segment on this scam and informed us not to do anything but hang up and report the call....

Just got a call from this number saying debit card locked, "press 1 to speak to someone and unlock your card". I didn't do it - called the bank, they are aware this is a scam and phissing call.

Just received a call from this number here in Utah as well. Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. I've been receiving a lot of these types of calls lately.

Same here. I'm back home in Utah visiting, and I have a Utah number, but I live in North Carolina now. I visited the Outer Banks over a year ago, and we went Kayaking, too...Maybe a theme?

Just received a similar call (cell phone) as the other comment describe.  The phonebot has reached Utah now!  The autovoice said my Visa Debit card was locked, etc.  Same-o same-o.

Update:

Just spoke with Wells Fargo. The call did not come from them, and they would not be contacting customers by phone about a deactivated account. DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!

Got a call yesterday on my cellphone with a robotic voice saying my citibank visa card has been locked. Gave a callback number which I couldnt write down at the time. Have never had a citibank visa card.

Got call from this number this morning. No message left. But I had also gotten a call from a different number yest w/a msg saying my TD North Bank card had been deactivated & to call back. I don't even have an account w/that bank. I just deleted the message. Guess someone sold my phone number...thanks a lot.

I JUST RECD A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER, GOGGLED AND FOUND OUT THE SAME INFO YOU ALL HAVE. MY CARD IS FINE, I KNOW  CUZ I ONLY HAVE ONE. I AM IN FLA AS WELL BUT HAD AN ACCT FOR MY CAR IN A VA CREDIT UNION. I WONDER WITH ALL THE HACKING GOING ON NOW A DAYS COULD SOMEONE HACKED INTO THE CREDIT UNION AND GET INFO? I SAW IN PREVIOUS POSTS THAT THEY WERE FROM VA.HMMM.

Last night I installed a program on my pc. iLiv the name...installed it by mistake I was trying to download something else. This morning received this call and another in this afternoon. I dont know if its a coincidence or not. But how they know I have a wellsfargo account? Since my bank dont have my cell number and either the call was from a 1-800 number I hung up and called my bank.

The voice sounded like a robot or automated dialer, but could have been an electronic voice changer as well...

I was just called to, automated message claiming that my visa debit card has been locked and to press 1 to speak to a rep.  I hung up and called my bank and all cards are fine, I am in South Dakota

Just received a call, we also returned from outer banks about 3 weeks ago. Only person who got my number was a kayak rental company

As above.  This is a scam.  The company has some new addresses and websites.  Here's the latest.  Just reverse look up the number,  They are con artists.
