I got the same message but phone number was 530-455-5456. I did not reply after it told me "Search for me on Yahoo IM that way we can catch up:P I.D on there is nettiepta513." I make it a rule to reply to people I know, and if someone refuses to give a name then it is not worth my time!

I received a text message from 970-642-3238 saying "hello [my name] u there?? Have not heard from you in a while." when I ask who are you? I got the reply "lol if you want to know who this is u gotta add me on Y! msngr. my name is nettiepta513", I replied I don't us Y msngr, and then got a text saying "omg my cell is about to die just talk to me on yahoo".
what nakes this so strange is this just happened to my best friend a few days ago. exactly the same way...
So creepy and weird...
I do not know what this new scam is, but beware!

I received a text message from this number from a person acting like he know me for a while, telling me that has been long time w/o heard from me. I ask who are you? and I'm surprised by this text to my personal phone.How thy get my my personal information? but it replied "ha ha if you want to know who this is u gotta add me on Y! messenger. my name is joelltba269" and then he/she told me" hey my cell is gonna die just talk to me on Y!".

I received a text message from this number for a fake Facebook account that I created for apps. I'm surprised by this as the account does not have my personal information on it. I didn't even ask who it was but it replied "haha if you want to know who this is u gotta add me on Y! messenger. my id is myrahftk081" and then told me their phone was dying.
