SCAM OBVIOUSLY

We received an inquiry from a Thomas Stevens who wanted product delivered to Norway. I provided him with a quote and he came back and requested that we obtain a freight quote from onestepworldwideshipping@mail.com and he would provide his credit card info so they could pick it up. We have strict policies regarding international shipping. When he didn't provide a phone number or location for the company. I started digging, this isn't the first time this scam has been tried. This shipping company can't be found online. I told Thomas that we can't use a shipping company that we're not familiar with and it would have to be UPS or DHL. He said he would not order our product if we didn't use his preferred carrier. I told him if he could provide a shipping account number we could then use but otherwise it would have to be a freight company we were comfortable with. I did then send an email to the address he gave us requesting location and phone number of the shipping company and guess what! That's how I ended up here. The logistics mgr was John Shimmers. I emailed Thomas and told him we were unable to help him.

So beware of John Shimmers and Thomas Stevens as well. I hope this helps someone else not fall prey.

We received a call from a gentlemen requesting 4 Milk Coolers totaling $7,500 from our company in Sterling Heights, MI.
We produced a quote, and sent him the information to approve. He then called back a short time ago using the name Keven Edward, and said that I needed to email a shipping company named Skyway Shipping but only provided an email for that company. That Company does not exist online, and when the shipping company replied, I Googled the name of the shipping Manager, and it led me to this site, and this string of emails.
The Shipping Manager's name was Mr. John Shimmers, the same as on this site for other fraudulant attempts.
Skyway Transport then gave me a price of over $3500.00 for shipping, and I conveyed that info back to Keven Edward's. He requested that I start the sales process and he would send his credit card info to me shortly.
I'm still awaiting that info.

We will not process the payment, but folks need to be aware of these gentlemen so they don't get penalized financially.

Mr. Shimmers and Mr. Edwards will not be winning this attempt to steal these 4 coolers.

HE WANTED HIS PURCHASE TO BE SENT TO GERALD & SONS CO., BEESKOWDAMM3, 14167 BERLIN, GERMANY.  HE HAD ME CALL HIS SHIPPING CO , "ONE SHIPPING COMPANY LIMITED" AND CONTACT JOHN SHIMMERS.  THE SHIPPING COMPANY RETURNED THE E-MAIL WITH A BREAKDOWN OF THE SHIPPING COSTS BY SEA,
We came out with a total cost of $ 3,870.90 dollars, which price breakdown

THEY DO NOT EXIST. HE CALLED A FEW MINUTES AGO AND ASKED IF I HAD RAN HIS CARD AND WHEN I SAID NO, I HAVE TO FIND HIS BUSINESS ON THE WEB AND THE SHIPPING COMPANY WEBSITE BEFORE I CAN RUN THE CARD. AS OF NOW, HE HAS NOT CALLED BACK.  SORRY GREGORY YOUR BUSTED

A whole big pain in the A**

Had the same thing happen.
This guy Mack Robinson (mc_rob11@yahoo.com) sent an email to our company asking for a quote on a very large order. Supposedly he was working for Holy Church Presbyterian Orphanage School in Ghana. We quoted him one price and told him we could do an even better price. He actually called and one of the first things he said was that he was okay with our first pricing, he didnt want a better deal. After that he asked us to e-mail his own shipping company to get a quote from them. The shipping company was "Express Delivery International" (ex.shipping_co@yahoo.com)We emailed the "shipping company" to ask if he could call us so we can discuss the shipping details over the phone instead of through e-mail. A man named Jafar Sulaiman called and when asked ifhe had a website he claimed it wasnt working. He requested to be e-mailed  the ship to and ship from address with the weights of the product so he could send back a quote. We never e-mailed him back.  It was all too fishy, so we decided to do a search and found the exact same story of a man named Mack Robinson.

We also received an email from robert_steven2@yahoo.com requesting 400 hinges to be shipped to Norway. Also asked us to contact John Shimmers from One Shipping Company (Oneshippingco@yahoo.com) to find out about shipping charges.  Very weird considering we are a small business.  BEWARE!!!!

Sounded a bit sus at first but I've been able to put $1000 on the card he gave me. Don't know where I stand at the moment.

I have received several requests for pump quotations as we are an ARO distributor.  All of these requests are very similar and insist on us taking a credit card.  The men requesting the quotations refuse to give their company name or address.  They are as follows:  nick.hoar@gmail.com -

John Swiger gave me the One Shipping Company with this telephone number listed above.  I would suggest that no one accept a person's credit card for a large sum - and without confirmation of a company name and that the person emailing you really works for that company.

Mr Torres sure gets around!!! NZ is his current target...and very nearly had me!

I made the unfortunate mistake of actioning a western union money transfer. He was very precise about how to go about it. This has now been cancelled.

PLEASE check out any unusually large orders, with clients you have never had dealings with before. Please also check out your banks information regrading merchant risk and fraudulent transactions. You may put through a charge to the credit card number he gives you..but this may be stolen!!
DONOT just accept his word, emails, calls even if he seems sincere and advises he's sending to his wife who is pregnant, and she can no longer travel to china to source the goods!

GHANA is a high risk country in the fraud statistics so to you, my fellow mechants..stay clear from MR_TORRES!!!!

I CONTACTED MARK MOORE FOR A BUSINESS TRANSACTION. THIS GUY IS A FRAUD AND DUMB HE WANTED ME TO SEND HIM MORE MONEY AFTER I PAID HIM THE FIRST BUSINESS WE MADE AND I STILL DID NOT RECEIVED THE GOODS. Similar situation. Requested a volume purchase of concrete sealers. Could not tell me what they needed them for and wants to use a shipper out of Ghana. When I asked for business name and contact info he gives me an address in SoCal, and CO and WA phone #'s?? Claims his name is Kelvin Palmer. I would suggest staying away from this one.

OK, this guy is not too bright. Gives you a ship to address of Omanset Road. Lome, Togo. He's trying to scam. Been toying with him to get as much info as possible. Said he was in Vermont but gave me a Lansing, Michigan landline # of 517-377-6717. Said his name was Mack Robinson. Even sent a purchase order when I asked for it. BE CAREFUL! Has email address of mc_rob11@yahoo.com. Will refer you to his freight company and will want you to also pay the freight up front. (born at night...not last night though!!) His freight company is known as Express Delivery International with an email address of ex.shipping_co@yahoo.com. He even called me at my desk. You could tell that he was not local or even in America. (the phone made a wierd noise when I answered it.

This number given for purchase of $6000 worth of water slides .  Stated name as John Coleman. Same story, has his own shipping co. Etc. This time he used my credit card # falsely.

Many emails & wants to buy cut material & shipped on a carrier of his choice to Ghana.  Sent me a credit card # with billing in Indiana, called from this # and said he is in Illinois.  Seemed off so I researched & the phone # is a land line in Colorado that isn't listed, then I searched the web & found this site with almost the same story.

I received a message from John Swiger at john.swiger00@yahoo.com for an ARO pump quotation.  I quoted him on 6 pumps.  I told him we did not take credit cards, he would not tell me what company he works for but sent me a co. name and address in Norway for me to get a freight quote from One Shipping Company.  This is a shipping company based in Ghana as many tell about below.  This man at One Shipping is John Shimmers with this phone number listed above.  HIs website is www.oneshippingco.com - website appears normal, but.... This John Swiger came back to me and insisted on a credit card.  I held to my "guns" and told him we did not take credit cards, that he could wire us the money, and I never heard back from him.

Caller wises to purchase large order of aluminum gates and have them shipped to Italy. Wants to use a shipping company of his choosing and pay me for freight & material, and then pay the freight company directly. Seems very scamish!
