Received text messages from phone number 970-699-4254 stating they were with State Investigation and Associate Court services.  I asked for phone number to call them and asked that they call me and not text, but never got a phone call.

Got a call on cell on July 26th, '13. Didn't answer.

Calls all time of day and night.  No voice mail. I do not answer phone numbers I do not know who they are from.  I use to but have gotten some filthy ones!!!

For this or any number calling or texting your cell phone, almost all carriers have a means to setup a block of number.  Text SPAM (followed by the 10-digit nr with no spaces, -, or /) to 7726 (SPAM).  In moments I get a text msg back from carrier stating that nr. is now blocked from calling me.

They just called me - then hung up.

If you are on the do not call list and you have told them to remove you from tere list and they continue calling file a complain with the FCC and also threaten to sue the company after I threaten I never get return calls

Same here.  Scam all the way.  I will start blocking on my I Phone.  Suggestion - If you do not know the number, decline it.  

There are a million scams going on so be careful.

I got a call from this number about 30 minutes ago and did not answer.  They called a second time 10 seconds later, I answered the second time and the line hung up as soon as I said "hello."

I had 6 back to back calls from this number.. no msg left ... I am at work and my number is getting blown up

i have two credit cards so i was skeptical about the generic "lower your interest rate" message.  after i answered, i was transferred to a representative.  it was a male who asked whether i was calling in response to the lower interest rate offer.  I responded "yes, but i'm wondering which card this is for?"  he then hung up on me.  the line was busy the two times i attempted to call him back.

This company called me with a recorded message about credit card rates at 7:30 am.  I pressed "1" to speak to a human being.  When a person answered by saying, "Do you owe more than $3,000 on your credit card?" I stated that I wanted to make a complaint for having been called at 7:30 am, and she hung up on me.

Called my cell phone, and i am on the do not call list.  Do not know anyone in Colorado

I just got SIX consecutive calls from this number!! The first I missed. The 2nd I picked up thinking it may be someone I know in CO. I hung up when the recorded message started identifying they're from Card Holder Services. Then they called back FOUR more times. Each time I hit decline and they called again less than a minute later!! Call times were twice at 11:20, 11:21, and 11:22. This company is a MAJOR nuisance! So much for being on the Do Not Call list.

I have reported several of these numbers to the Pa. State Attorney General, the repsonses I have gotten are, they cannot be traced. They use many internet numbers and go through multiple ISP addresses and are untraceable. Many of these calls originate overseas and are not legally bound by the do not call lists or U.S. Laws. Blocking the numbers is our only option.

I actually have taken this call. As someone stated, they do ask you for your cc information, which I hesitate on for minutes and the guy kept pushing. It is a company called card member services. They work with all major cc companies and if enough people opt in they can lower your CC. What they don't tell you is that you have to pay. They were going to charge me $900 to lower my CC bill... which doesn't make sense to incur more cost to pay down debt. I continuously told them to stop calling and I was not interested. No charges on my CC that I don't recognize, so I am not worried they are trying to take my information. But they are annoying, persistent and arrogant.
