Got a call from them this morning. No message, didn't recognize the area code. So I googled it and found this thread. Now I'm forewarned if they call me back.

Received a call from 9709680780 and I save to contacts as "DNA" for do not answer. Yes it fills up space but I never question a bad call. And these people do try over and over.

Just got a call from this #, no message left. Apparently the no-call registry doesn't work for cell phones. I've received more unwanted call on my cell phone since I registered it. Hmmmmm....

This number called my cell number and said it was a credit card company and I told them do not call me again and they hung up on me

Got my first call from this number at my new phone today. My old number was placed on the Do Not Call registry years ago (and I tried to add it again several other times due to these calls).
Because I had my old number for 5+years, I have been receiving calls from this company for nearly as long. @Jess90069 Every time I have reported their number to the Do Not Call list, they call back with another number a few months later. It's a good idea, but it is apparently more cost effective to be fined/reprimanded/disconnected and just use the same list of people with a different number.
The company has this CO line, a few that show OR zipcodes, and possibly others that no longer remember. Every number is the same, calling for "card holder services." Pressing 1 to talk and asking not to to be called results in getting hung up on. The numbers don't leave voicemails, except the occasional dead air. Calling back the missed call lets you know the number is nonworking.
After being frustrated by this enough times, I've found the easiest solution is to ignore unknown calls from different area codes, Google their number, and block them. The few times I have forgotten, I hear "card holder services," hang up, and block them. This makes them stop calling for months at a time before switching to a different number.
They never have reverted to using an old number to call me, so even just temporarily blocking discourages them. I'm hoping that they have a limited number of lines.

Called cell; unknown number so didn't answer, left no message -
They can leave a message and if it's not someone I know then won't respond to that either
| Kimberly 2013-11-06 21:18:33 Unknown |
yet another call with no message. it seems that every time I block a call (THANK YOU APPLE), another one comes from a different number. Is it possible that companies can manipulate which area code and phone # appears on your caller id? what is the point of the NO CALL LIST if no one enforces it?

BLOCK the number and they can never get through. I do not take calls from "unknown" numbers or from numbers I do not recognize, and look them up on BING, if not listed, they are blocked. PLUS use this National Do Not Call Registry

Unfortunately the numbers are sold by different companies. Example, if you subscribe to a magazine, you will eventually get magazines from companies you probably never heard of.
