I got multiple messages from this company, they said they were "Stamford Raffles Real Estate" when i spoke with the guy he said he wasn't with them, but "representing" them doing some advertising folders, they needed a top rated skylight installation company, etc". Long story short, I was really dumb, and they "appeared" legit enough to put it through, so I paid "$395.00" for advertising, and then when my Boss saw it, he said "Cancel" it looks weird. They then proceeded to ignore my calls and emails and everything else, me screaming and yelling on them on the phone. So, just finished talking to our bank to file a claim. And also found this on Facebook from someone who got scammed by them, when they had a different scheme going on:

Today I have discovered Media Production Company is a SCAM. If you get a call to deal with them, check your information before you invest. When I checked, I found out the faith I had used got me taken advantage of. I know better and should not have invested in them. Now it is a matter of reporting them to the police and chasing my money down. Daniel Wall and Paul Budlong are the names involved and the phone number is 971-205-1709 or 1-800-962-2587. If anything changes I will update this post.

Received a call from Jenny at an Oregon based number. She left a message staying that a local catholic school in NJ was looking for an esthetician to be featured in the children's homework folders. Seem suspicious so I called the school to see if they were ordering these so called advertising folders. Turns out it's a scam! The school had no idea about the folders and also had other calls from local businesses who were contacted from this Jenny person.
I called "Jenny" back and told her how I felt!

The Vermont Attorney General?s Office is warning Vermont businesses about a phone call or email from an out-of-state business asking the local business to donate money to support the area school by paying for an advertisement that that they will place on a full-color homework folder that will be provided to students free of charge. The out of state business is trying to collect money from local businesses far in excess of the cost of the ?folders? that it may actually deliver to the school. Businesses are advised to be wary about contributing to this type of promotional scheme.
There may be more than one out- of-state business using this scheme. Some business names currently being used are ?PNM?, Production Network Media, and ?PMC?, Production Media Company. Previously, ?American Youth Group? and ?Student Relations Inc.? have used this scheme to raise money.
If your business has been a target, please make a complaint to the Consumer Assistance Program. You may use the on-line complaint form on our website, www.uvm.edu/consumer or send a written complaint to the following address: Consumer Assistance Program, 146 University Place, 103 Morrill Hall, UVM, Burlington, VT 05405.

Got a message from "Daniel" calling on behalf of the "Kid Street Learning Center" and said they are "working on a project for the students, and wanted to get me involved". Caller ID showed 971-205-1709 from Beaverton, OR (I am in California), but asked me to call back 800-962-2587 x 1043. Can hear others leaving messages in the background. Sounds like a scam to me!!!

these jerks call me several times a week, always claiming they are working for a major real estate firm in the area, but refuses to tell me who, next call it is a publication for property managers, then it is a referral to general contractors, always can hear a telemarketing boiler room in the background. have told them I am on the DNC, and they laugh one told to go do something to my self that is physically as well as anatomically impossible, such losers

Left a message saying they were calling from an elementary school. Not any school from my area. Gave me an 800 number to call. No thanks.

This man called the office earlier this morning and asked to speak with my boss that was in a meeting at the time. I asked if my boss could call him back and he said he would try calling back later. He called again this afternoon and my boss knew that he was trying to sell space on a real estate booklet. My boss again was in a meeting and asked me to let him know that he wasn't interested and to ask him to stop calling. So I got back on the line and told the caller my boss wasn't interested and the guy told me that I didn't even know who was calling. I replied and told him that it was the Re/Max guy that had called earlier in the day. He then proceeded to tell me that "he was glad my boss had the balls to say it himself" and hung up on me.

Selling ads for troup real estate.
J 2014-04-10 18:26:01 Unknown
This sounds like the scam where you aren't really involved in any project but they are trying to sell you space in a booklet to advertise your services

Called our business claiming that they were doing work for a local middle school that I am familiar with. Caller's name was Chris and he left the call back number of 971-205-1709 x1056. I googled the phone number because they mispronounced the name of the school slightly and spoke very fast on the message. I am not returning their call after reading the comments on this board.

Ditto. did not even pick up my phone....

Got a message saying they were 'interested in my services' (I'm an organizer). Called them back. 'Justin' said they were putting together folders for a local Prudential real estate group, and selling ad space in the folders. I told him I'd call him back tomorrow, and he seemed to not like that idea. I'm going to tell the local Prudential real estate group that someone is using their name.

Lynn from Lafayette Elementary School called looking to get sponsorship. They called a business in NJ from an Oregon phone number. Gotta admit, the scammers are getting imaginative

This person call, sounds like from a boiler room. Wants personal information about finances. I think they PMC are
scam companies trying to get money from people who's debts have been repaid by TARP funds.
GH 2014-03-21 16:01:08 Unknown
A scam to get you to advertise at real estate office in your area that doesn't exist. Pay by credit card for a new ad campaign. When I asked questions they became rude, frustrated and hung up.

Rachel called saying her company is looking for a real estate attorney in Ohio - left an 800# to call back. I just checked here and I don't like the sound of it.

They called today and left a message saying that they were Berkshire Hathaway Realtors in Carson (but the number they called from is in Oregon) and that they were looking for an interior designer to help with projects, he was stuttering and stammering like he kept forgetting what his story was, Dylan you are not to bright.

Called my business number. Some scam about being involved in a real estate project. The return number is an 800 number. This sounds like the scam where you aren't really involved in any project but they are trying to sell you space in a booklet to advertise your services (I'm a mortgage broker). I had one of these calls before. the Oregon phone number is likely spoofed.

They called and left a similar message like others have posted. They wanted me involved in a "package" they were putting together and that they were "calling on behalf of Century 21 LAD". They asked me to call them back at 800-962-2587 (which belongs to "Production Media Company"). These guys are total scammers! Check out the 800notes.com on 800-962-2587

Called claiming I left a message for them to call me back regarding my son!!! Don't answer their calls!
DinaC 2014-01-08 14:42:37 Unknown
Rachel called our contracting office saying she wanted "our services". The caller ID was 971-205-1709, but the voicemail stated to call back 1800-962-2587, ext 1033. What a crock!!! Sounded suspicious (other people soliciting in the background noise, sounded like a call center). We didn't call back. Hope they call again today so I can tell them to buzz off. So much for the "DO NOT CALL" registry!!!!

Caller ID says PMC
Says he is Peter from Weichert Realty at a local address (but not a local phone number). After further questioning, he still won't say who he is REALLY with other than now he claims to only REPRESENT Weichert. He is looking for the owner but doesn't have correct information. I read the comments above (out loud) and he actually gets pissed off, proceeds to tell me off, and then hangs up on me. YEAH!!! Maybe he won't call back!! Most fun I've had with a scammer in a long time.

Telemarketer claiming to be a local real estate company...
Hank 2013-12-09 17:12:01 Telemarketer
Marketing firm that sells advertising in packets for real estate companies. Bunch of BS - if you want some real estate agent business, start a relationship with them versus advertising with these fools...
Tim657 2013-11-11 21:13:02 Unknown
It's not legit. They are not who they say they are and they are not working for the companies they say they are.
