Same here... 'tis the season to get unidentifieable phone calls.
The FCC, FTC and phone company need to crack down on these scam artists by making them show a legit caller id, have an operating license of some sort, and really ALLOW you to opt out of the calls via their operations as well as the National Do-Not-Call List.  They need to close the loopholes-- create some real jobs for people to do real customer service.
Hope somebody who is computer saavy takes this advice!

Vote Democratic because Obama has done such a wonderful job of enforcing the Do-Not-Call List and his wife has been trying to find the spouses of active duty servicemen work as telemarketers.

As I've said before, you're 100% wrong. This caller is not giving voting dates and places. It is purely a phishing scam to get your credit card number.

Please stop trying to interject your personal political opinions, and please stop making baseless, unproven accusations.

This has nothing to do with politics. It's just a phishing scam. If it sounded GOP-ish, it's probably b/c there's something about you that makes them think you lean GOP, such as area code and maybe also the exchange of your telephone number (if you live in GOP leaning town).

That is, if you want Google to record all of your calls and keep a log of who you called and sell it to advertisers. Anything that has to do with Google is spyware.

Sorry, but blocking them does no good. They keep changing their number. I've gotten these exact same calls from about a dozen different numbers. It might be useful if you could block whole area codes and exchanges, but that's not available yet, and even if it were, the con artists would find a way around it.

Thank you for the political tirade and the inappropriate and baseless accusations. These calls have been coming for a while now from a variety of different numbers, and it's pretty clear that they have nothing to do with any political party, but are a phising scam to get credit card numbers.

They use this number and several other numbers to call with a pre-recorded US election poll.  I have received at least 14 calls from this group with the same recorded message over the past month (have two numbers).  The kicker is that I live in Canada, my area code is Canadian and frankly do not care about American politics (no more that an American cares about Canadian politics).  These calls therefore serve only to P me off!

we've been getting these calls nearly daily here in Saskatchewan.  why the hell do we even have a do not call list in Canada? i report and report and the calls continue.  yay for sites like this so we can share info.

i am getting calls from this # daily - and not entitled to vote in the US elections....

did anyone find a way to get rid of them??

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in apparent violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Keep calling my job

The Do Not Call or DNC list is not working but I found something that does. Play along like I do and then near the end of the call, I quietly say "You know that I am making all this stuff up", because I said it quietly, they say "What did you say?", and I say it again so they can hear me. Then stand back as they react as they start yelling, "Your wasting my time", DUH, What do you think you do when you call me. If more of us did that imagine how much time we could waste of theirs. It may be enough to make it unprofitable for them to keep ignoring the DNC list. Thanks for reading this please feel free to pass it along.

I received a call from these people doing a very short recorded survey and offering a free cruise at the end. Then they put me through to someone who was going to book my ticket. But I had a bad feeling about the whole thing so I asked him who was commissioning all of this. He told me the Independant Survey Group. He even waited while I went to get a pen to write it down. Then as I was confirming the name, the line was very bad and eventually cut out. I don't know if he hung up on purpose or not, but maybe he did, now that I see what this is. The moral of the story is, It pays to listen to your feelings!

I have been getting calls from this ph # non-stop for about 2 weeks. It shows up on my caller ID, but I don't answer. Sometimes up to 2 times aday.

JUST stop calling already, take the hint no one is going to answer because this call is a waste of my time. If you call the # back this # is temporary out of service.  How the heck can that be when you people are calling all the time!

FRUSTRATING!

No Obama isn't but his boyfriend Eric Holder is.  Eric Holder doesn't believe in a Grand Jury nor a court of law for that matter. They called my prepaid cell phone on 7/14 around 4:30 pm.  They violated the TCPA.  The FCC is too busy wanted to further tax and control the internet than do it's job with the TCPA.
I used to file complaints, but when I want to use my cell phone, and get those calls, I record them and post online to slander them!

I use my ISP's service of blocking unwanted calls, but only 30 entries are allowed. Even 100 is far from being enough. I have to update the list frequently.

The do-not-call list is totally useless. I complained to CRTC before but no response was given.

Dead line. I get several of these per week. Is there a way to block them? We ought to lobby our phone companies.
