Same here. Is there anyway to nab someone like this?

This phone number is used to scam people listing items for sale on Craigslist.  They will offer to purchase your goods and then send thousands of dollars more on a check that is drawn on an unsuspecting legitimate business and IF the account isn't already closed, the check may clear but will ultimately be reversed in your account.  In the mean time, they will hound you with eMails and text messages attempting to get you to send them the "extra funds" that they sent you.  This is interstate mail fraud, but the local police and other authorities will not be interested as they have much larger fish to fry.

I got a text at 10:23 from this number saying his name is Randy that he got my number from Craigslist to text back if I am still looking for a job. He said he runs a private accounting firm looking to strengthen his organizational structure by adding a personal assistant part time that id be getting paid $1400 monthly or $350 weekly from home with an offer to make extra $100-$500 once my honesty has been established that he's a reputable person and a good Christian saying that he could never be involved in anything dirty that he could pay me by paycheck, western union, money gram, or PayPal. That he needs an assistant who will be dispatching some checks billed to his clients daily that all I need is a working great personal computer, a colored printer, and versa check business paper form #1000 or form #3000. These kind of people are a bunch of crap and really need to get a life.

as stupid enough to give name and address,  received check for item I was selling on craigslist only thing was I knew when I got check and it was for 2550. 00 for a 150.00 item I was selling I knew was a scam, then he text me and said check had cleared so please send shipping funds. Only thing was I hadn't taken check to bank yet. I'm not totally stupid!!!

I had an item on cl also. said would send 40 extra for holding it  never sent any money 2 weeks  later contackted me said i  received the money ..said he was.was going to notafie. f b i  if he didn.t hear from me in 24 hours...to bad there's people like this

Same Craigslist response as everyone else, and my location is West Virginia , just because someone was asking about locations earlier

I just did a trace on the phone # , it is a cell # from Salem , OR. . It is a scam . I'm in Texas and this is the 5th or 6th time he has tryed to scam me .

Just curious, and don't answer if you don't want to, but are any of you all in Atlanta or nearby?

Just got the same thing for something I have on craigslist. So I texted him back and they want my name, number, address, etc... They say they'll send a check from their bank and then when I receive the payment they'll have someone in my area (Atlanta) come pick up the item and ship it to them.
