I have been receiving numerous phone calls a day for a while now from some 'dental insurance' solicitor. I have asked them to never call me again, but the calls persist. The final straw was when I was at the bedside of my aged, critically ill mother and then had an interruption from these solicitors. I have asked them to not call my phone number again. If the calls persist, I will file a complaint with the Attorney General's office where I live (who I personally know).

This number is used by Debt collectors to see if your number is active. Especially if it from a number that usually don;t answer them or ditches their calls.

I live in Oklahoma City, Ok. The number calls me at least 2 times each day.
I have answered it and there is no one on the line. It must take a few seconds for the computer to
send it to a live operator. I hang up before that. I believe that if you press 9 to be removed from the call list, that they will call twice as much.
I guess it give everyone something to write about on a post. Ha!

You all sound very lucky. I work for a large corporation with hundreds of phone lines and I am the switchboard operator. This number has been calling our switchboard approximately 35 times a day for over a month. It cycles through all of the extensions coming into our building and if the extension is not being used, it comes to me. It has called four times in the short time I've been typing.
