Curse them out, or put the vacuum cleaning or a barking dog in there ear. You don't have to talk to anyone just because they call you. Tell them to drop off the face of the earth and if they don't, keep up with the calls and they will be fined $1000 per call.  Educate yourself, learn your rights and don't let these scum harass you.

no message left, but called late at night and when I got up in the morning I was worried about who called and I dialed the number back.  As soon as I heard the recording in spanish I hung up.  I will be watching my phone bill very closely as my bill is the same every month.  So sorry that I did not read this first.  Thank you and God Bless you for putting the info out there for all of us to see.

Indian/Pakistani accent, told me that there was a problem with my computer which I was unaware of. Asked me if I was the owner of the (un-named or branded) computer as he needed to ask me questions about my online account.   Caller ID reported number as TOP GOOGLEPAGES.  

Told them to remove my number from their list.  Caller hung up.

I receive at least daily calls from this number and want them to stop.  I called it and all I got was a FAX sound.

I get several calls a day from this number, they are wanting to lower my interest rates on my credit cards. I told them I didn't have any, and that I wasn't interested. I nicely asked them MANY TIMES

I tried all the nice things, too: Press 3 to opt out.  Another time I waited and talked to a human and politely asked to be removed.  Still no luck.  Most recently, 3 calls in one day--on a Friday February 17.  On Monday, Feb. 20, got a call in the morning and I chose to speak to a human.  As soon as he got on the line I blew the loudest whistle I could find for about 3 seconds and then hung up.  So far, no more calls.

Hello CBS NEWS' Investigative Scam Department (  scams@cbsnews.com  ).  Last night I also sent a similarly insightful e/mail directed to your Los Angeles, CA Investigative Reporter, David Goldstein.  With that plea for investigative assistance I also furnished among other things my personal list of at the time 11 of these phone numbers that I have been able to identify.  Now, less than 24 hours later, my list is already up to 13 from last nights 11.  

I don't know how to type this out briefly and I don't want to type out a novel to explain this.  This is a SEVERE matter that is way over my head already and clearly, as per the postings I read almost daily on the internet, quite out of control.  At this point I don't even know if trusting my credit card company is even possible anymore now that I read that credit card companies are selling contact information lists that result in hard working consumers to be harassed at all hours of the day and night on their landline and cell phones (which we have to pay to receive) with unsolicited, unwarranted, bogus financing, mortgage revamps, home construction and various other subjects of solicitation and all even if on the DO NOT CALL LIST for many years as is the case with me.

If you were to simply Google any of these 13 phone numbers that I have "attempted" to block from calling my landline number here at home (see the list  of those 13 numbers below), you'll see ENDLESS complaints posted from other persons such as myself that just can't put up with all of this harassment and disturbance any longer.  

Why aren't the agencies assigned to these matters stopping this????  Why aren't these people being fined as stated??? Why doesn't the DO NOT CALL LIST  stop these intruders????  Why must we also be leery of our credit card companies and banking institutions now?????????  Who can we trust now????  Where will we (I) find peace of mind????

We all work hard and we only live once, why can't it be in a peaceful manor without these added burdens to add to life's complexities????  On top of it, the desperate, naive and elderly are falling victim to these scammers.

Am I making any sense to you in what I seek your investigative expertise in?  If the public even hears that CBS INVESTIGATIONS is looking into this, they'll be glued to their T.V.'s just to hear about it and even to see who these persons are, where they call from and why they do it not to mention HOW and WHO was paid to provide our contact information.

I filed a complaint with the FCC directly and I was issued a case number.  Below is my current list of numbers that I blocked utilizing my 20 block limit on my AT&T Uverse service.  It's simple to block these numbers on line with this service but I'm already up to 11 blocked numbers.  I don't know what I'll do once I have met my max in blocking ability.  You'll see complaints on all 11 of these numbers on the internet.  I have only posted this insight here regarding the phone number 971-217-9515.  I'd have to repost this insight 10 more times if I wanted to make reference to this insight pertaining to all 11 blocked scammer numbers that I have already discovered and blocked.  Here's a copy and paste of my actual on-line list of blocked numbers (see below).  You'll want not only to block all of these but you too should help see to it that this insight be furnished to persons receiving calls from any of these numbers.  I just can't repeat this posting 10 more times.  FILE WITH THE FCC, THE MORE COMPLAINTS THE BETTER.  This subject matter should also be looked into by your local CBS, NBC, ABC investigative / fraud reporters.  It would make for a VERY interesting special report for all viewers to gain from.  This s... has to stop!!!   Good luck and please help put an end to these disruptive intruders / scammers.  CALL THE FCC AT 717-338-2533.  Here's my blocked number list to date (2-22-12).

Annoying call

2/my name is barbara and I am on the do not call list but  this number 971-217-9515 will not stop calling. I have gone off on them many times but they still call. Today  2/20/12 they called me with  name of   Lower your interest   I am reporting this nwo

ALL my numbers are on the federal do not call list.  They should not be calling me

This number has been calling me 3-4 a day.  It shows up as Lower Interest, cell phone OR, or Beaverton, OR on the caller ID.  The remove option does not work.  I have pressed every option, called back, listened to the whole message, and I can not get a human being on the phone.  I am on the DNC list.  Have been for a long time.  I just reported this number.  They are driving me crazy.

Talked to live person. I was very rude with my comments and this person was very rude in return a real jerk. When i asked to be removed from calllist he said that he would see that the calls would be increased in frequency. I hung up.

If you already registered your phone number with National Do Not Call Registry then you need to file a complaint.  Quick and simple steps.  I filed several complaints for other spam calls and they seemed to have stopped calling.

I am registered on the National DO NOT CALL list, but I get constant calls from this and 2 other "fraud" numbers.  STOP

This is some sort of scam. I am on do not call list but these people call a million times.

These calls "Rachel from Cardmember Services" want to give you a new credit card at a "lower" interest rate but they have to qualify you.   I once went through the whole process, politely, to find out what was a qualification and what they offered, to find out I didn't qualify (they wanted an average monthly balance of $4000 and I pay mine off monthly).   In the process I asked for details about what the company was and was told that they service all credit cards for the various credit card companies.   I then asked to have my number removed and that worked for a while, but they are back.   I received two calls from Rachel today, from different numbers.
My suggestion is to politely go through the process of qualification, don't give them specific information but tell them you pay off your card monthly and therefore don't really care about the interest rate and ask them to remove you from their list.   This covers two points - they have to take the time to speak to you for no gain, and you formally ask to have your number removed.   If you make that request up front, they will hang up on you so they can take another call.   If you don't "qualify" (ie, they can't make interest off you), then they will be happy to remove you.   Document this request, and if you get another call, complain to the FTC at www.dontcall.gov (a faster way to get there for these complaints).   Do make sure you are on the do not call registry.

I am continuously receiving calls from Oregon, at all times of the day and night.  They never leave a message and I refuse to answer their calls.  I'd really like the calls to stop.

Unfortunately, it appears that either new scammers have entered into the game and/or the scammers who were shut down have set up shop elsewhere.

When the phone rang, I picked up the receiver and, without saying anything, immediately hung up the receiver.

I have been receiving Lower Interest robo calls for months. When I don't answer the call, the robo call leaves a partially cut off voice mail message. When I do answer the call, but say nothing, the robo message plays automatically.

Based on my Internet research into this type of call, I believe that most of these calls are scams. Although some of the calls come through as "Out of area," with no telephone number showing on my Caller ID, all of the auto messages are the same.Pressing the sacred opt out number does not take you off of the caller's call list. Being registered with the National Do Not Call Registry does not help. Complaining to the FCC and/or the FTC does not help.
