This, and possibly other numbers from Gresham, OR, place calls to my cell phone several times a week. If I answer, there is no one there. Usually they hang up after a few rings.  I have received similar calls from other locations -- Missouri, etc.  I imagine they are hoping I'll call back to find out who they are.  Fat chance!

So now I simply don't answer calls from any number I don't recognize.  I'm already on the Do Not Call registry, but it hasn't helped with these calls.  Since I have a very low monthly call allowance, I really resent this.

Since February 1, 2013 we have been hit with unwanted calls averaging 11 a day including this one.  2 weeks ago we registered on the DO NOT CALL site and FCC site.

As of this post 02/20/2013 we have filed 98 complaints within the last 2 weeks with both agencies.

Now I don't know if this is the answer but to date we have dropped to 11 calls a day to 1 to 2 every other day.

Let's band together and start complaining to the 2 agencies and maybe, just maybe these VULTURES will have their feathers plucked and tared

My number is on the Do Not Call Registry, but I keep getting calls my cell from this number and others.  They never leave a message and there's no name displayed on the caller ID.  I have reported them.  I never answer them, but it's annoying.

This call from P O America.  Also got call from them with phone number 503-902-8409.  I don't answer.

Follow these rules of advice when getting these calls also emails from those whom you do not know. If you get a call from numbers like this don't answer! Don't call back. Only answer calls from those whom you know. Get an email from FEDEX USPS IRS or UPS with an attachment? Just delete the whole thing. If you don't know the person or place you get a link from don't go there!!!!! If your "friend" or "relative" sends an email telling you they are in a foreign country and need money, Someone has probably hacked their email, give them a call to be sure. Check with sites like this when you are not positive who sent it.

Its cheaper and keeps you off of a lot more scam me lists.

scam call offering free cruise , but you must "pay" a dock fee and a "small" gratuity- have called at home and on my cell phone -they just take a block of numbers and call until they get a pigeon- good luck if you expect this creww to respect the Do Not Call list . It's a scam call. They are trolling for marks. If you go through the survey you will get connected to real person who will try to get information  from you. If you try to report the number to NDNCR it will tell you that the # has not been registered for 30 days. Won't help. I suggest doing what I did. Answer the 3 questions. When you get a person on the phone, berate them. I asked the woman that I got if her mother raised her to be a C or if she just turned out that way. Amazing, she still kept trying to real me in. So I just kept saying over and over, You're a C...Until she hung up. Do everything you can to ruin their day. They are parasites. Our Gov isn't doing enough to rid us of them.

All scammers 971-220-1118 & 971-217-9562 called like 10X in one day stop it.

I caleld the number back & the voice message stated "political opinions".....

Mystery calls from this number. Calls are ignored. No messages are left.

I was taking a nap this afternoon to try to recover from a migraine when this number woke me up!   No message was left.  If it's truly important, the caller would leave a message. I will be reporting them to the FCC (not that it ever seems to do any good).

Received this call - something about a survey and for answering the few questions, could get a free trip.

The number called from a Gresham, OR area on my cell at 2:21pm PST. I did not pick up and they did not leave a message.

Just received a call from 971 220 1118. Did not leave a message.

No message left, tried to call number back and do not get an answer.

ID is Pacifictel: Had several calls in past 2 months. They Do not leave message. One time I answered, they offered a cruise in the Bahamas. I just hung up. Want them to stop. We are on the DNC list.

called my cell phone and told me I had been "carefully selected to participate in a political survey."  SO sucks it's so hard to get rid of these idiots.

I got a call from this number today. As I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer it. I have my phone on the do not call list too. Will these folks never leave us alone?

called the number back, message said, this is Ann from political opinions................

I ALSO GOT A CALL - NO ANSWER, JUST SOME NOISE - SCAMMING CRIMINALS - PROBABLY FROM CAMEROON OR NIGERIA!!

Offering free (not including port tax) cruise for 2 to the Bahamas in return for completing a 30-second survey conducted on behalf of a political group. Gave me the option of pressing 9 to decline the survey and have my # removed from their list. Against all better judgment, I pressed 9 and got a message saying my # had been removed. This is a cell phone; my next stop is to make sure my status on the DNC registry is still up to date.

I received a call from this number. It is listed as coming from Gresham OR. Since I have caller ID I do not answer unknown numbers. If they want me bad enough or if it is a life and death situation they will leave a message.

I have placed this number in my DO NOT ANSWER file.

Just one more number of over 20 numbers I have now from these "bottom feeders". It's nothing but a SCAM trying to get you to give them your credit card number. First it was Rachel from credit card services and now they get around the do-not-call list by saying it's a political servey, then saying you win a free trip to the bahamas. Nothing in this world is free. It's a "SCAM". Nothing more. I report each and every call now to the state- no- call list and the federal -do -not -call list. I have even reported them to the local police. Still these bottom feeders keep trying. And as of today I called at&t and complained to them also. And told them every time I get a call from these A$$-holes I'm going to call and make a complaint. I have had to change my phone number thinking the calls would stop...Guess what, they haven't now I get at least one call a day now.

This number has called me twice.

Just got a call from this number along with many others from that area code. I have started a spam list and automatically put these numbers in it and then turn call blocker on. This prevents me from accidentally answering these types of phone calls. Personally I think there should be someway of reverse charging these people when they do call your cell number. If it is not legit then they should pay not us.

Received call to my cell number at 11:05 am CST. Did not answer as I don't know the number. There were some interesting comments on this thread and I like the adding numbers to a SPAM name and change the ring option. People wise up! These are scammers. I never answer or press any number to "OPT" out. I think it tells the robocaller that this IS a good number. They then sell it off to more companies and you get even more calls but from different areas codes.

The DNC registry won't work because politcal and charitable organiztions are exempt from the rules of the DNC and the scammers set themselves up as such. Easy enough to fold up and move on with a new name and phone number. Especially after their scam has worked on a few unsuspecting folks!
