Call from this number and when I tried to return the call said number not in service.

My number is on the Do Not Call Registry, but I keep getting calls my cell from this number and others.  They never leave a message and there's no name displayed on the caller ID.  I have reported them.  I never answer them, but it's annoying.

On Blackberry phones, when unwanted calls come in, just ADD them to your contact list, then turn the right and SMS functions to zeros (i.e. no ring, no vibrate, no LED, etc).  You may notice them call again, but you'll never be ending another call to take one of their's again.  I label each with with a name followed by "Spammer" so I know they're not important.  I do get several calls each week, but I don't let them get the best of me.

I went to an Internet phone that allows me to block calls (right now, I have over 100 phone numbers blocked).  I'm using Ooma (available at Costco for about $180) plus $119/yr (and $4.25/mo taxes) for two lines (includes porting of 1-number with additional # porting costing about $39).  You can make it so that the block calls get a busy signal, go to voice mail (with a .wav file sent to your email), or just get a steady ring (I opt for the last one).

using their own do-not-call option from the site, it has been ten days without any calls from this politico pest. if you would like to have them stop calling, you might try it - your results may vary....

Thank you for adding those, Bob. I just added all of them to my call block list. I have 92 entries on that list. 92 different numbers, many of which are faked caller ID numbers. That is ridiculous! Supposed political surveyors, people wanting me to answer a few questions to win a cruise, people selling home security systems, scam pharmacies- you name the scam and we get called by it. Do I even need to mention we are on the do not call list?!? We are. But if a scam is willing to ignore other laws why would they abide by the do not call list and no 'robo-calling' rules?  If anyone does contact an attorney count me in!

This is just one of many phone calls I have received on my cell phone that never leaves a message.  I am also on the Do Not Call list but if this is a political survey I guess I have no recourse.  It is a shame when you can't use your own cell phone because of all these strange calls.  I never pick up unless I know who is calling, I would hate to waste my minutes by answering them.  There must be someway to stop such annoying calls.

I NEVER answer the phone unless I know for sure who is calling. I give out my number to limited people (friends, family, work), and that's it. BUT I STILL gets these calls from Oregon!  It's always 971-220, but the last 4 change. 1824, 1832, 1382.... Call center? PBX system? Don't know, don't care. I just keep putting in the complaints to the DoNotCall.gov site. This last time I asked the to take legal action action against the callers.  Will it help? No idea.

The 'National Do Not Call Registry' is a waste of taxpayer money! Albeit; Congress allocated surveys and political parties to be exempt: Telemarketers will call day and night and 'THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY', after filing over 1,003 complaints from telemarketers over the last 10 years, does nothing!  Regardless of your complaints to the 'NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY', rest assured that that the 'DO NOT CALL REGISTRY IS A WASTE OF TAXPAYER FUNDING>>>>Thank your Congressman/Woman!

Sometimes there are people listening to find out what times you are at home, to hear if you have a guest or whatever else.

If you are getting more calls than before after you register with the Do Not Call list, then you may be  targeted for Covert Harassment.
Conduct a google or other search with the topics Covert Harassment or Organized Stalking so you understand what may be happening.

I am on the do not call registry but I do not answer calls that I do not recognize.  This number called but did not leave message.

Caller ID says from Liberty. Number called my landline, then called my cell. Both are registered with no call list.

What a freaking waste of time it was to register my phone.

I keep Adding this and other 971-###-#### to my rejection list and they just call from a different number. I'm not about to add my mobile phone to the do not call list, because when I added my home phone number to the do not call list and I guess the list goes out to the people to tell them to not call, well they started blowing my phone up! I eventually ditched my home phone after that, so I'll just keep adding them to my Call rejection list.....I wish my call rejection would let me just put 971-* and block all area code 971 numbers.

Just got a call from this number.  I get calls from different numbers at least 3 times a week for that 'free cruise for political opinions.'  

I responded to the survey the first time and haven't since then.  I still get calls from these people.
I said I was republican and approved of Obama
