No msg left on my machine. With the "+" in front plus the "11" digits in front, I'd guess it could be a phoney number (how do they do that?), anyway, I called Canada a few times and the number had the 2 extra digits in front; no "+" though.

These are the telephone numbers of harassment callers from 3rd March to 4th April, 2012, made on my residence phone and cell phone. All numbers were listed on 800notes.com by other people who had received harassment calls from these numbers.
All these numbers were of unknown persons or not recognized by me as companies I knew. After the first two or three times I stopped answering them and simply rejected the calls unanswered or deleted unheard or unread any messages they left.
The one thing that seems to cause them to stop calling is to simply allow no contact with the harasser who is calling. It seems to me that the harassers purpose of making contact with the called individual is thwarted by simply rejecting him and declining to pay any attention to him at all. This works for telemarketer, solicitors, and so-called surveyors as well. The one thing none of them can abide is to be ignored. If you prevent any contact whatsoever; they lose, you win. When you answer a call or listen to or read a message; the harasser smiles and you become frustrated. If you answer and immediately hang-up or delete any message; you smile and the harasser becomes frustrated. Right?

Nan, I get at least one of these calls everyweek. How I do wish that what they said was true that this was my FINAL call from these jerks.
I do NOT care what my interest rate is. I pay my credit card balance off every month no matter how painful.

This is a credit card scam. I never answer calls if I don't recognize the number - too many shysters calling with temporary 'phony' phone numbers.
A note on Unwanted Calls. Our world is changing. Sadly - The 'Do Not Call' list only works with Legitimate Telemarketers but unfortunately does not apply to: Surveys, Charities and of course, Criminals don't follow any laws. These Criminals have various kinds of ploys. Some hide behind Surveys and Charities and of course the two big ones are Phony Debt Collectors and Low Interest offers. The only way to avoid these calls is DO NOT EVER RESPOND because if you do respond you will not only continue to be harassed by the same caller but your number will be sold to other 'Harassers' now that they know you are a live Human Being with a real phone number. Also the Criminals/Shysters only use a number for a short period and then change it to avoid being caught. Another sad note is that even if you do respond to a legitimate Survey or Charity - you will be placed on a 'Sucker List' and your number will be passed To & Fro for all to exploit you, including the criminals. I also never respond to any political calls anymore, because I don't want to give any politician the knowledge of my concerns just so He/She can LIE TO ME in the future by telling me 'What I want to hear', because - Honest Politicians already 'know' the Needs and Concerns of The People that He/She is representing. Again, our world has changed and responding to any of these callers only places us at risk for 'Who knows what?" At this time in history I have not discovered a way to 'AVOID' ALL HARASSMENT and so far the only way to avoid ongoing harassment is -Caller ID- and/or a phone that can 'Block' callers who will not stop. Some of these phones also have a Programming Feature that will BLOCK Calls which do not have a number like 'Out Of Area' or 'Private Caller" and is well worth the Investment. We can no longer 'Trust' ANYONE "Who we don't know' that is calling us.

Caller ID said "Services". Rolled into voice mail, but they did not leave a message.

Google "FCC Complaint" and fill out the online form. It usually takes a month for them to email you back and notify you of their actions, but it's worked for me in the past. The FCC may be the best chance.

I use to get 4-6 calls like this a day, what I did was go purchase a hand held boat horn (walmart sells them for about $10.) an when I answer I use my lowest voice to talk to them, I Tell them I am old and that my voice is going out on me I let them talk and I ask a few questions and then I use even a softer voice were even I can barely hear myself, so I know they turn up thier volume on thier headsets so they can hear me, and then I start to give them a Credit card number then I blast the boat horn into the phone, that makes them hang up and for some reason they never call back.
this is my way of getting even with those people.
MY son says if when they call an it a robo call if you hit # signs 10 or more times it tells the computer that this isnt a working nunber an it deletes your number from the system, which I am told, they will not use again..

I got a call from these people and I answer the phone "This is a porn shop. If you want a fake p***s, call back." Usually this gets them to stop calling. Just keep answering the phone with this greeting. Sooner or later they will stop calling.

This group have been calling me with this phony debt reduction pitch for YEARS . Each time they call it is from a different phone number around the country and even from Canada. I have repeatedly told their representatives to stop calling and have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry every time I get one of these calls.

Do not call lists. To prevent a telemarketer from calling you again, tell the caller to place you on the company's "do not call" list. Federal law requires telemarketing companies to maintain "do not call" lists. This law, however, does not apply to non-profit organizations.
Kill two birds with one stone. When you ask to be placed on a do not call lists, remember to ask the caller if his/her employer conducts telemarketing for other companies. If you want to be placed on their "do not call" lists, say so. Also, if you have multiple phone lines, request that your other numbers be included on the "do not call" lists.
Keep track. Have a notepad by the phone so when you ask to be on a "do not call" list, you can write down the date, the company's name, phone number, and address. You should also ask for the name of the caller and the name of his/her supervisor. Telemarketers are required by law to give this information upon request. If a company calls again after you have asked it not to, note the company name and date.
Follow up. After you have asked to be put on a "do not call" list, you may want to write a letter repeating your request. Keep a copy for your records. This provides further proof of your request.
Rights to sue. If a telemarketing company calls you after you have requested to be placed on its "do not call list," you can sue in small claims court under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Public Law 102-243, for your actual monetary damages or $500 per violation (whichever is greater). Furthermore, your state may give you additional rights against telemarketers.
Taking action. To file a suit, look in the state government section of your phone book for the closest small claims court. It is not expensive, it's designed to be done without a lawyer, and you can usually get your court costs included if you win. You may also wish to file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, or your state attorney general's office.
Settling. Once you have filed a suit, the company may approach you about settling the case. Feel free to negotiate a settlement. Often, a company would rather pay you than go through the trouble and cost of defending itself in court. Hitting a company in the pocketbook is the best way to stop unwanted calls

I got this call right now. I asked to be connected to the representative right away. When I asked him why I was being called despite being on the do not call list, this shady-sounding character immediately hung up.

They keep calling me to give my my final notice which has been over 10 times. I pressed one to speak to a person and they hung up on me when I asked the person to remove my name from their list. I called them back and got an answering machine that said if I wanted to no longer be contacted to press one so I did and now lets hope it works.
