I've been getting calls from this number. caller id just says "local" as the name.

I pressed re-dial and a recording came on that said "Hello, and thank you for calling back.  This is a marketing call.......press one if you do not wish to receive calls anymore".  I pressed one, they said it would take 24 hours to remove me from the call list and that's it.  They did not identify the name of the company.

Called and left no message.  I never answer a call from a number I do not recognize.  I never return a call left to my voice mail if I don't know who they are, don't leave me a detailed message, or know what they specifically are calling about.

Scum - caller ID says LOCAL.  

Find a way to earn a living that does not involved harassing people.

Answered and no answer back... Oregon number.  Then I searched here..  Wth!!

Something to do with Politics... You can call the number back and be placed on their internal Do not call list

Did not pick up, they did not leave a message.  What happened to no call list?

So AGAIN it's my suggestion you NEVER give / provide them ANY personal information. If you have no Call Blocking on your phone. Just DON'T answer their call attempts or immediately click to answer and IMMEDIATELY Hang up on them.

As well as report the call attempts to your local attorney generals office and file a complaint with the FTC { Federal Trade Commission } as to have the complaint reports bolstered.

Same here, calls and I didn't answer but very annoying when they always call when I am trying to feed my elderly mother.  What good is the DNC list?  So I just gave up, pick of the phone and lay it down in front of the news channel. At least I get some satisfaction by running up their phone bill.  <Smile>

Called 3Xs today, caller ID said "Local." I don't answer if I don't recognize the name. No messages.

The name that came up on my phone was "local," which is pretty silly since they're on the other side of the continent!

Called around 3:15pm today, same as the rest, no response, not local etc. Called it back and it says it's a marketing firm and to press 1 to stop calls. I pressed 1 but that will probably make them call me back even more with my luck, BTW I'm also on the DNC list so I will file a report.

I got a call from this # twice today, but I didn't answer either time because it's not a number I know and it said Local & the phone #.  They call regularly but I never answer.  The first time it rang 9 times before they hung up and the 2nd time it rang 8 times before they hung up.

caller id shows "LOCAL" - silence after couple of seconds, click (hung up).

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating illegal telemarketing calls in violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

call is is listed as "LOCAL". Left no message

I got a call from this number they did not leave a message. All it said on my caller id was the phone number 971-220-1962 and nothing else not a name or anything. Just the number were the number is and the number was also in were the name would be. I do not know who they are. Yes you do have to pay if you want to get who owns the phone number all the sights that let you track or reverse look up the number you do have to pay for more info. I don't know why they advertise free to get the information. All it tell you is were the call by area code came from and in some cases your caller id already tell you that.

Much as we would all like to help you, until someone on this forum is able to identify who is making these calls there is not a lot that can be done.        Do you have any way of blocking unwanted numbers on your phone?

I am 81 years old and they keep calling me all times of the day. Please stop them from calling me I am disabled!

calls cause all my caller id says is local and shows phone no.is 971-220-1962. heres what i do sometimes is i will put my finger over where you talk so they cant here anything and just listen to see if any one says anything or not then hang up if they just keep calling and wont stop i get mad turn the phone on and say if you have reason to call my number tell me your reason or just loose this  ?/.:;"'";:??  number and if that dont work i turn the phone on and dial star symbol then 60 with our phone company it lets you block the last number that called you or you can type any number you dont want to call you
