I got the pre-recorded call, one of many of the same that I've been receiving.

I press the 1 to speak to a representative.

A lady comes on, announces its Financial Services, and asks if I'm interested in lowering my credit card interest rate.

I say, "Yes."

She hangs up.

Have gotten calls like this several times with this being the first one from this number... 971-220-1980. The ID box had REWARD SOLUTION and they left the message about lowering my interest rate on my credit card. I'm no dummy!!! I don't answer calls from people I don't know personally. This is nothing but a BIG FAT SCAM!

I have had numerous calls from these people and here is a fun way to fight back. Please call Mr. Chris Ambrosia's Ambrosia Web Design, LLC: 2906 South Revere CIrcle, Mesa AZ 85210, phone: 1-888-583-1956. Call them repeatedly, insessantly, and give them a taste of their own medicine. That has been the ONLY way in the past that I can stop these calls.  If you give them a taste of their own medicine, AND can get to the owner, he can take your number off. It has worked for me before.

I thought that was the whole reason for a do not call list, I still get calls all day long, they should be made to pay everyone they call!

Calls at least once every day but we don't answer. Sometimes leaves a message that says it's our last chance to reduce our credit card rates.

The Do Not Call registry may not act on every single report, but the reports are still important - they can be used as evidence if a fine is contested.  There are consequences, just not for every single incident.  In 2005, for example, DirecTV was ordered to pay a $5.3M fine. ADT - $2M, Ameriquest - $1M.  Please, keep reporting to donotcall.gov.

Same Call,

Last chance to reduce your interest rates.  If it was so important that I respond, why not send me something in the mail ???

Reputable companies respect the Do-Not-Call list, so deal with cold calling telemarketers at your own risk.

I have a no solicitor greeting and this was ignored.  The caller did not leave a message after the standard 6 rings.  Isn't it interesting that I pay for a "no solicitors" greeting on my phone, yet this company ignored it. Has to tell you something.  I will file a complaint with the FTC.

Reward Solutions.   Same scam/different caller ID.   Wants to lower your card interest rate and if you choose to speak to them, they want your cc number and CVV code then they sell your card to identity thieves who immediately start using the card for high ticket items.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.   Pressing the option to "stop the calls" or "opt out" is fake.  It does nothing.  It just hangs up on you.   Scammers will not remove your name from their scam list.   I know the phone companies know where these calls are really coming from but their solution?  Pay a fee to track the calls.  Nice huh? instead of being part of the solution, they are part of the problem by allowing these thieves to use their phone lines to scam people.   If they find these people, I wish they would take the phone companies (in this case it's Verizon) to court with them.

Been getting these calls for a couple years.  Finally, pressed number to talk to someone - as soon as I asked name of company, they hung up.  Next time, I played along, answered a couple questions with lies, told them I wouldn't deal with any company that I don't know.  They provided me a name, contacted that company (in Atlanta, Georgia) they denied being behind any calls - claimed they do no telemarketing.  Multiple  reports to to FTC and do not call list - Nothing. Submitted a complaint to State attorney generals office - NOTHING. Also requested help from phone provider.  They won't help without a police report. Called police to submit a complaint, they won't issue complaint, because telemarketing not a crime - Catch-22  Whoever these idiots are, I hope they catch a severe disease.  Not fatal, just painful, untreatable and long term.

A message from "Rachel" telling me there is nothing wrong with my cards but that I should take advantage of rates as low as 3.9%.  Thanks, Rachel!  I did not answer the call, but my new friend Rachel left the message.  Why can't these people be stopped?

Today I answered this telemarketer as I was tired of getting these calls. The party that connected gave me the usual calling to reduce my credit card interest rates. When I asked her which cards she hung up.

This is a SCAM to get your credit card infornation, she gave me the information that they represented VisaMaster card. I had an experience with this same name on line last week and it was a SCAM. They used the information to attempt to make thousands of dollars in charges on my Chase Bank card. Chase called me to report attempted fraudunlent use. I put a fraud alert on the credit bureaus and purchased protection ID Protection.

Why doesn't the DNR ever stop these violators.

Received an ILLEGAL pre-recorded call today: Caller ID Display:  REWARD SOLUTION 971-220-1980
Also: 917-793-5694, 971-217-9513

"Press 1 to lower your interest rate"

Connected with a live operator "Deena" and played along answering non-personal information questions such as:
1. Do you have more than $3000 in credit card debt?
2. How many accounts?
3. Are you current on at least one account?
4. What's the name of that account?
5. What the interest rate on that account?
6. What's your payment amount?

The operator "Deena" said her job was to "qualify" me to see if I was eligible for a lower rate and that the Finance person would be able to explain the details.

7. What's the 800 number on the back of your VISA card so we can call and confirm your eligibility?

At that point I politely declined, saying that I didn't know who she was, or the company, so I was reluctant to provide personal information. "Deena" then claimed:

--The company name is "Card Member Services"
--They issue the billing statements for ALL the credit card issuers
--I'm protected from loss by the "CPA, Consumer Protection Act"
--They are calling from Washington State but have offices "all over".

I asked how does it work? Do I transfer my balances to their company? She replied that they would work with the card companies to lower my interest rate.So you're a Debt Relief company I asked?

Well, No..my job is to just qualify you...the finance "counselor" will explain the details.

I said, let me ask you a question: How do you sleep at night knowing that your giving false information to people on the phone? She seemed offended, and off guard She informed me that she wasn't lying and that she had a two year old. I inquired, then you wouldn't mind telling me the name of the company that appears on your paycheck?

She replied, "Card Services" and then hung up. Classic!

I organized a web site and Facebook page to help stop these calls: stoptomwithhomeprotection.wordpress.com

The usual line about reducing Interest Rates.  I have probably received more than 10 calls from these people in the last 6 months.
This last time I hit a '1' instead of hanging up.  When a man answered I started my speech.

To whom am I speaking?  He gave me a name.
Are you aware sir that you are in direct violation of the "Do Not Call" directive and as such may be subject to a fine or imprisonment or both?  There was a long pause and then he hung up on me.

These people have no sense of humor or equality.

This company is calling me 2-6 times per day. I am elderly and have difficulty getting to the phone. One person said he was "timothy" used obscene language and threatened me. I am going to make a police report as this is frightening to me. How can I stop this.

I recevied a call about making some kind of payment.  The message was unclear as to what the payment was or what it was for; let alone who the message was meant for.  It then left two options, option one was to make a payment of some kind, the second to contact a "live" representative to be taken off the calling list.
