Received a call from 971 404 3188, telling me same story about coming to my job ( jokes on them I don't work outside of the home ). Telling me charges will be filed for fraduelent activity on my social security number.  I need to call them back and blah blah blah.  I will be blocking this number

I received the exact same message. Saying it was attached to my name and social.

I get calls all the time from these damn people and I am sick of it. I did turn it over to an attorney a real one and they will be contacting these so called numbers. Enough is Enough

I just ignore them.. If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer it.

Said he needed payment over the phone right then to stop from filing in court today. So I started asking for more information.  Would only tell me that it would be filed in state court but could not tell me a specific court.  He got more hostile as I asked specific questions such as his name, address, phone #, what company I owed, how much was owed, what the account number was. He wouldn't tell me the account number saying that was state evidence.  He finally hung up on me as I was asking when  the last date of payment was and what was the statue of limitations. So I called the # back and told him my lawyer need information to be prepared for the law suit.  He tried to give me a fax number but I said that I don't need a fax number just a few questions answered for my lawyer. He told me he was going to hang up again unless I was willing to make a payment today to stop the filing.  Told him I have 2000 minutes left on this phone and I will keep calling until I get the info I need. He hung up. I called back 8 more times.  The call kept going to voice mail of a woman named Rebecca Berman.  Finally Edward answered and put me on with a supervisor. The supervisor told me completely different information as to the amount due and their acct/reference number.  (Case # 201434023 and Case # 20144198) Also, he told me a different date for the last payment. Again he demanded a payment today. I told him that I will take the information I collected to my lawyer for review and of course he said that the case will be filed today and hung up on me. I have sent a certified letter to the address above. But, of course, it is still at the post office waiting to be signed for.

I also received a call a few days later from 971-404-3188 which I missed. The message left on my answering service was from the same man (Edward Benefield) that I spoke to from Debt Mediation Service. This number associated with Goldberg and Associates.

So tired of these people calling me and I had free time today so I called them 3 times to attempt to find out why they keep calling me. The first person would not give me any info because I refused to verify my SS# with her. She got argumentative and hung up. The second person gave me info, said that he was from Goldberg and Associates and they were going to file fraud charges against me. I told him I did not have any outstanding payday loans and his info was incorrect. He also got argumentative and refused to listen to me, kept talking over anything I tried to say. He also hung up on me. The third time I simply asked for their address and the man asked why. I said to verify that you are a reputable company. He would not give me an address. I said I wanted to send a cease and desist letter and he said it would not do any good. If I think they are a scam the letter won't do a thing. He also hung up on me.  I would love to have my lawyer take care of this but I have no information other than the 2 phone numbers they keep calling me from. They have my name but I don't know what other info they have. I have blocked the numbers but for some reason the voice mails they leave still show up.

They have called me for the last three years. Granted I did owe check n go money but it also was included in a 2010 bankruptcy. So they keep up with the threats and I just mess with them the one guy I laughed at him thru the whole phone call that he called back telling me to take my a** to the cops and call him back because I was going to be arrested for check fraud. That voicemail will be getting posted on YouTube soon for all to enjoy. They still call every day but I need a real address for them to go after them thru the bankruptcy court and make them pay

I'm getting so sick and tired of these people calling my daughters phone number. They leave no message. They have been associated with Goldberg & Assoc. Trying to give me a summons on something I have payed and been scammed for a lot of money.

Just an addendum to my previous post. I finally called these idiots back, since they keep calling me. I have a pre-paid cellphone, so all these calls cost me money. I explained to the fool that answered that I'm not this Gary King person they're looking for, and to stop calling. Did it help? No, since I've received 5 more calls since then, the last about an hour ago. It's actually kind of funny. Now, they want an address to serve some kind of subpoena. Well, how are these fools going to serve legal documents on anyone if they don't even have their correct phone number?

I've been receiving these ridiculous messages so I decided to answer when they call.  They threatened me with being served in my county, so I asked them when and where, and they don't even know where I am.  Lol.  When I started laughed, she got mad and hung up.  Hahahaha!

I received calls from this man saying he was from Goldberg & Associates saying I had defaulted on loans from a finance company, but the more and more he talked to me, I could tell he was a fake. Then he called back after I hung up while he was talking and asked "Did we get disconnected or did you just hang up?" then he gives this attitude as if we know each other on a personal level. He tried to get my social security number, I told him he had the wrong person and then he said, "fine ma'am take your chances with your day in court."

they called again today references that I have been officially notified of the summons that I will be delivered to my home or place of employment... I called them back and chewed them out... They said they are Goldberg and Associates.. I told her that they are a scam and to remove me from their call list before I take further action... she asked for my information - I said NO! They can see who is calling them- so I am not falling for that....

They are attempting to collect money from you by threatening lawsuits and jail time. It is sad, but some people DO fall for this scheme, which is why they are so relentless. I have been receiving these calls for the past 2 1/2 years and its always a different "company" saying they are at my local courthouse or that they are offerring me some kind of "deal" to settle before it goes to the courts and I "lose my rights".

People need to be informed about their rights and what a true creditor can and cannot do in order to collect money owed.

Received call from 901-404- 3188. It was an unidentified woman who was very loud, threatening to take me to litigation for fraud  charges associated with my name and s.s. number.  I see that I am not the only one that's being harassed. What are they getting out of this?

I just got a call from this number on my cell. They used a pre-recorded voice to say the name: Gary King, then went into the same spiel about issuing a summons and threatening legal action others have noted here. I've received calls from various collection agencies looking for this Gary King person periodically for the last few years. I can only assume my cell number must have been his phone number in the past. A long time in the past, since I've had this number for 6 1/2 years. I used to explain all of that to these agencies when they called, but now I'm so fed up with it all I just say "You have the wrong number" and hang up, if I even answer at all. This one didn't even have to courtesy to have a live person call, it was just a recording, so I couldn't even tell them to eff off.

They called me today and wanted me to call them... SCAM!!!

I got this same call about a summons and fraudulent activity. I have LifeLock and know for a fact nothing fraudulent was done by me nor by someone else under my identity...what a crock!

I am about 2 1/2 years into receiving these stupid calls.  I'm still waiting for my summons to show up since the first call when I told him that I would be at work and home and they could come both places tomorrow...needless to say, they never showed up.

They can do it because they are operating illegally so they don't have to follow the law.  No one seems to be able to find them to prosecute.  They use different numbers and spoof the numbers that they call from...it's just a big scam.

I also received a call stating 2 charges for fraud...summons at my home or place of employment!  Per my previous experience with these type of calls per fraud investigator NYS attorney general office, they have to provide validation of the debt...plus they cant leave threatening messages as violation of FDCPA! I am going to file a complaint to see if the calls stop! But do not pay them a penny!!!!

These "A" holes keep callin my job,  As I work in Human Resources , we all  laugh becuse if this was a real sumons , they would show up in person like they do with a garnishment.

My relatives got a call from these bozos claiming they were looking for me. It's obvious it's a scam because I don't owe any money and have no debts.

We have been getting calls at our home phone number for 13 years - threatening collection on a woman need Maria Taylor whose name is nothing like my wife or mine, nor do we know anyone with a name even close to that. Yesterday I received  another call from 971-404-3188 asking for Maria Taylor and when I called the number they answered the phone "Summons Unit". I asked for the name of the company and they told me it was "Goldberg and Associates". I explained the situation and they assured me that my phone number would be removed from their database within 24 hours. Then today I received yet another call with a different case number asking for Maria Taylor. I called them again today and asked to speak with the owner - they told me that "Mr. Goldberg" is in court but he will call me back - I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for the call.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

These people are not legal debt collectors. they buy bad second party debt and try to collect on it. do not fall for their bs. it is a complete scam. look up laws on debt collection and these types of collectors will often collect on debt that is often not liable to pay back anymore, due to statue of limitations. they also never saw what company they are calling from or for, just that they are sending a summons from your county. and if you so happen as to call them back and demand their address, they will never give it to you, or give you a po box address which you never use to take them to court. these people choose their words to scare you into paying them. report their number and keeping posting comments on sites like these to make people aware.

Just got a call from these folks who claim I would be sent summons for fraudulent activity regarding my name and SSN. I was told to call this number to discuss my legal rights or I could forfeit them later. Have no idea who these people are or not aware of any fraud since I have two credit monitoring services who would have advised me. I do not plan to call them but will report them to the FTC and to my attorney. Definitely seems like a scam.

Janice Sampson from the Process of Summons Division (what a joke!) left a voice mail that two charges of fradulent activity will be filed in my county under my SSN, name.  I'm supposed to call back to hear my legal rights before they issue a summons at my employment or home....Total BS!!!
