The phone number 972-234-8700 was an OLD phone number that Intellidebt once had. We gave it up long ago. Whoever called you from this number, I can't say. It SURELY was not Intellidebt.

I think it would have been more fair if you had emailed me about this before posting a complaint with name and company here.

They use this name and other numbers too, completely bogus.  Ok Mr. Special Investigator Chis Logan, any relation to fictional  Det. Mike Logan on Law & Order?  What a loser and scam artist.  Do not call this loser back or waste your time thinking about these bottom feeder liars.

I came back from being out of work due to illness to a message from Special Investigator William Oaks regarding a restraining order that has been filed against me...etc...etc.  I've had these calls before so I immediately googled the name and there were lots of complaints filed.

I received a voice message on my house phone from an Agent William Oaks regarding a restraining order against me! Lmao! They called last week telling me about a loan I took out back in 2007 (which I am completely clueless about). They had my social totally incorrect and would not provide me any information as to which company the loan was for so I can determine if someone is using my identity. I asked for an address for their company and they would not provide that information as well. These people are a joke!! PEOPLE BEWARE! DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING UNTIL THEY CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH DOCUMENTATION VERIFYING THE ALLEGED DEBT!

I was hoping they would eventaully "go away". Instead, they have called not only me, but a friend of mine, and told her she needed to press charges against me, or pay $1,000.00 or SHE would go to jail. They told her they would send court papers. Never did. That was last month. Today, they left a message for my dad saying they were calling about a retraining order placed on me. As stated above, this would be taken care of by the police, not some random phone number calling your family member's and friends. If anyone finds a way to get them to stop calling, please advise. I don't want them harassing my friends and family!

It appears it's been transferred to "Americans" now.  First, a Orby Shelton...(Orby)??, then a Donnie Brooks.  The call back numbers are 972-234-8700 and 704-464-0168.  Do not call back at all.!!!  Once they establish contact----the calls are relentless.  Warn all of your references as well.

Someone claiming to be a Detective WIlliam Oaks left a convaluted voice mail message stating that there was a complaint filed against me.  He left an affidavit number and this number.  He said that either myself or my attorney needed to call them in 24 to 48 as a restraining order had been filed against me.  When I called, I got a voice message system.  

Hopefully someone or some agency can stop these people, it's annoying.

These people called me too and left message saying the same thing. i know it is a scam but has anyone had any follow up with them? Do they eventually go away?

I am appalled what can be done about this ... why would anyone do this and what are they getting out of this?????

I received the same kind of call. Same story. No information, just that they were from the Legal Securities Bureau and I was going to be sued in 24-48 hours. These scams are rampant. Just don't call back.

I received a voice message last night from Ms. Lacy indicating that I needed to return the call to 972-234-8700 with a case #.  Mind you, this lady had no Texas accent whatsoever.  The message said something like a subpoena was attempted with no avail or either i was involved in a case of mistaken identity.  That should have been my heads-up right there....which one is it lady!  So I called back only to find out that I so-called opened credit on 5/14/2007 with Credit One Srvs (who the heck are they) and didn't pay them.  I check my credit twice a year and I have no creditors by that name.  Since 2007, I have bought two properties and not once has this aforementioned creditor been listed on my report.  The person I spoke to was a "fast talker" offering me settlement terms. He even stated that they had been trying to reach me for over 3 years now.  I told him that he was a damn lie as I have had the same telephone number that they magically reached me on 5 minutes ago since the summer of 2008. I politely told him that I would see him in court and he hung up on me.  I called back 15 minutes later asking to speak to a supervisor and the same man answered the phone stating that he was the supervisor..........I called this morning on three (3) separate occasions and three (3) different phones and the same man answered the phone.........................

I also register call from this number and for a minute was confused then scared until I google them. So glad this set is here.

I too received a call this morning from Ms Lynn White with the following number 972-234-8700. She left a voicemail on my work # and then called me back again five minutes later. I researched the number and found this very helpful sight. Ms. White told me I too was being sued and was going to have a restraining order filed. I have no idea who she thinks she is dealing with but I am not "boo boo the fool". I have filed for a chpt 13 BK and all my debts are being paid monthly. Anyone who did not file a claim then that is too bad. I am being responsible and will not stand for anyone to try and milk me out of money that I am already struggling to keep. I informed Ms. White that I knew this was a a scam, I was not calling any numbers she gave me and I politely thanked her for calling.

Just received a voicemail from this number stating it was a special investigator and they were calling regarding a restraining order that had been filed against me for a former married name from many years ago.   After reading these posts I believe it is a debt collector attempting to get me to return the call under false pretenses.

This company called Legal Security Bureau called a friend of mine giving her all my information and a case number. What company would give information out on someone without permission. I called the company and they said I have to go to court because of a payday loan I took out in November of 2010, funny i was on unemployment so what company would give me any money and I have bank statements to prove no transaction took place. All he could say good luck in court. They are very unprofessional and if you have a court date they just send papers in the mail they never call.

I just had a very similar experience with an exceedinly rude representative of this company, and just before New year's eve to boot. Happy New year huh!!!

I had two calls from these idiots. One from an African American woman I could barely understand, she mumbled so bad, saying that I had a claim against me with a restraining order???? It was so obvious she was reading from a script. I knew it was a scam because the police would be at my door if I had a legal complaint involving a restraining order. I also received a similar call from Chris Logan although he did not use the threat of a restraining order. I have no active debts and have not had any credit cards since 2000 so I know this is an illegal attempt to collect some zombie debt. I am calling Morgan and Morgan because they claim on their commercial that if you are harassed you can collect up to 1200.00. I also am going to call the Federal Trade Commission and report this company and the individuals. I suggest everyone reporting "legal securities bureau" to the FTA they need to be put out of business before they scare some poor elderly person who doesn't know any better. Good Luck everyone.

Its is illegal for anyone to threaten you with a law suite unless their intent is to do so. If you are being sued, you would be served notice of hearing by either a constable or civil process server. What these scum bags are doing is illegal. These people do not seem very intelligent and will more than likely find themselves a party of a suit and explaining there back ally tactics to a judge. Do not be scared of the restraining order tactics, read about restraining orders. If you are truly being sued, then let them serve you in a manor required by law.

"RESTRAINING ORDER"
If a person has been abused physically, mentally or emotionally, this is grounds for petitioning for a restraining order. The victim must be truthful with her reasoning for applying for the restraining order. If the defendant or victim violates the restraining order, they both can be found in contempt of court and face legal consequences. The type of restraining order issued determines how long the order stays in effect.

Being Truthful

   The information a victim states when applying for a restraining order must be accurate and truthful. The victim is not allowed to state anything outside of the facts to make her case. The defendant is given the chance to dispute the accusations at a hearing. If the courts find that a victim has falsified documents, the court can throw out the restraining order case and fine the victim, as well as find her or him in contempt of court. The restraining order is granted if the court finds the victim's accusations to be true.


Temporary Order

   When a victim goes to file for an immediate restraining order, this is generally called a temporary restraining order. The restraining order is temporary because it is awarded solely on the accusations of the victim. A temporary restraining order does not take effect until the restrained individual is served with the order. The defendant is not to violate the terms outlined in the temporary restraining order once it has been served. The defendant will be able to make his claim at the hearing that will determine if the order becomes permanent.

OMGosh!!!!! I too just started getting these calls....well, unfortunately my mom started getting these calls!!!!!!!!! not cool!!!! I had already decided to file bankruptcy, but after I was repeatedly yelled at, put down, and hung up on 3 times...and being told that I did not have a right to say anything..that HE was the only one able to talk and that HE would be the one who was gonna tell me what to do....i went and filed the chapter 7 THAT DAY....IN TEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE!!!!! thank you fro this site and that i was able to find it...better late than never...but this has diminished the fear i had of my accts being frozen and the sheriff coming to my door. i feel like an idiot thought...one of the things he tried to verify was my address which ironically enough is a PO BOX....he preceded to tell me that they had attempted to "serve me" at my address...umm....hello a**@**.....its a frickin PO BOX :/ anyways....in the midst of the abuse and terror tactics its hard to think about looking stuff like this up. I had tried to google the various company names that had been givin...just never thought about looking up the phone numbers. I too have received this same phone call and thanks from this website I have realized that this is a scame I got the call about 6 months ago but didnt pay attention to it I figured it it was true I would get something in the mail.  Has anyone received any subpoena's

Today we had two phone calls, one on our land line phone and another on a cell phone approximately 10 minutes later.  Both calls appeared as "unknown" on the caller ID and the caller left a message on the answering machine indicating she was "Special Investigator" Katie Reid (or Reeve) - couldn't understand the accent completely.  Katie advised that my husband, whose name she gave, was a "respondent in a court action in which he must appear."  She also indicated a complaint number such as "ABCD1234" with a return phone call number of 972-234-8700. .  She further said "please forward this information to your attorney.  This order to show cause is a restraining order.  You and your attorney have 24-48 hours to respond."  I have no clue why this phone call was placed to us.  If it was a debt collection call as others have indicated, I can only say we have a good credit rating and do not owe money to anyone that we do not pay completely as agreed.  I do know this is a SCAM.  Let me say that if any of you are wondering about these calls, DO NOT RESPOND to them.  If someone is suing you for any reason, you will get a personal subpoena from a process server at your home or business or a registered letter in the mail from an attorney, court, etc.  You will NOT get information like this via your phone from some SCAM person threatening you on behalf of a collection agency, etc.    Do not call them back, no matter how angry you get, as this only gives these people more information about you that they can use to further harass you.  Nothing you say to these people will matter to them.  The REAL KICKER with this phone call was that at the end of the message on the answering machine, Katie says "have a blessed day."  I realize people need jobs these days, but if someone can accept a job like this and know what they are doing is wrong and hurtful to those they call, then they are the ones who need to have "a blessed day."

Ok so I just got off the phone with these people a Special Investigator Shelton. Mind you its 0745 AM(illegal) then tells me it's a criminal investigation against me and gives me a case number and says I need to call this number I then start questioning Investigator Shelton where he tries to back track what he says...who knows a good lawyer?

A Lynn White call this morning asking for our daughter by her maiden name (couln't even pronounce her name correctly) from the number listed on this page.  Obvious scam - hope you can catch them.  Could tell it was a fraud from the moment the phone call came through.

I however posted on fb that a special investigator william oaks said something about a restraining order ..I googled the area code of the return ph # left which was out of texas...I have never been to texas!! Anyways found the needed info here. Thanks...I really hope someone stops this!!
