This number calls, but does not respond when I answer. Then, disconnects. I am on the do not call list.

Might be The Lion's Club. I think they may own a bank with that prefix.

A poster for 1 of these numbers says they call asking for donations for a number of different charities - because they're a charity, they get around the Do Not Call list.  DON'T ANSWER - the robo-diallers then make a note that you're a "good number" & they put you on the list to keep calling back.  Save yourself the aggravation & just don't answer 972-253- (whatever).

Answered phone and no response to hello.

Several calls.

Has to have something to do with Tom Thumb or other 'reward" card list. Called and asked for guy whose name appears on receipt when i use my home number to get the discounts. Hung up quickly before I could request to be removed from list. Got to PU and report. Busy when you call it back.

Comes up as "Unknown Name" on my Caller ID. Have no idea who it might be, they hung up.

972-253-7316 Calls repeatedly but willnot talk.

Caller does not say anything, just listens and calls repetitive.

This caller keeps calling and just sits there and listens.  I can hear noises in the background but I cannot tell what the noises are.  I hope to find out who this is soon.  My caller ID says "Out of Area" and the number is 972-253-7316.

Go to the PUC website and lodge a complaint. This company is infuriating.

Go to the TX PUC site and lodge a complaint. I did. This 972 253 7316 person has called and called and keeps hanging up when I answer.

We get numerous calls from 972-253-7316.  We have tried ignoring them (no good), answering and asking them to take us off their list (no good), and threatening them with  complaint if they did not stop (no good).  972 is a Dallas-FT. Worth area exchange.  The caller ID says "Community Event"  An older-sounding lady was the most recent person to speak when I answered.  I told her that we had asked a number of times to be taken off their calling list and that if they did not stop calling, we would file a complaint.  She was immediately confrontational and said: "well, why don't you just do that" and hung up.

Several calls during 09/2007. No message, then the call hangs up.
Caller is not ID'd but the phone number is displayed on the caller ID.
