I got a call from 972-253-7501  His message said he was Ron from the Lions club and to call him back on his cell at 832-385-3390

Same thing happened to me. this number called 2 times and of course they didn't leave a message.
Very frustrating, and I am on the Do not call list.  

972-253-7501 Called my house phone 2 times today Feb 24th, 2014.
Of course I didn't answer, and they of course didn't leave a message.
A total pest that needs to be dealt with.

Got a vm, he said his name was Rob from the Plano (early?) Lion's Club and to call him back on his cell at 832-385-3390, yeah I'll get right on that

Larry left a msg for my DEAD FATHER - its bad enough to get unwanted telemarketing calls but it really gauls me when they try to act like they're friends  - don't bother to leave the name of the organization or the purpose of the call just that "my name is Larry and I would appreciate a call back" Given my father was once an attorney, I called Larry back just in case it was a former client that needed something and didn't realize he had passed away years ago.  I was NOT PLEASED when I found out it was a fishing expedition for money for their charity! If you want to collect for your charity, perhaps you should be open and honest from the start instead of manipulative and shady - you lost ALL possibility of receiving a donation from me!!

Well this is Larry and I don't know what everyone's so upset about.  I'm just trying to do a little fundraising.

Very upset, some one called asking for owner, was rude, said he was Larry.

I am so bothered by sick peopple like this.

Same thing happened to me.  Left a message asking for me by name - said he was Larry and asked that I return his call.  Is it the Lion's Club?  I'm not calling back to find out.  It just showed up as "Irving" on callerid.

After disconnecting with this group he started texting, from his personal number 972-815-8407, me angry because I didn't want to talk to him.  so all of you blow up his phone via text.

I received a Call from a person by the Name of Larry. He told me to give him a call back at 972-815-8407. He did not state where he was from or the Name of the Company the call may have been in reference to. STRANGE!

Yeah they leave you a message saying "this is Larry and I'd appreciate a call back at........." like he's your friend or something.  They're just wanting handouts for their "charity" so dont answer the call, and don't call them back!

I let the machine answer the call because it showed up as "Unavailable" with a local phone number. A man asked for my husband--by name--and said his name was Larry. He asked my husband to give him a call back at a number that was different from what the caller ID showed. He did not explain who he was or why he was calling.

Said his hame is Larry Berry asked for my boss by name, as if they would know each other.  Thanks to this site I will not bother to call him back.  I HATE it when strangers get our names, then try to pretend we are "friends."

I received the exact same voice mail from the same number.  I don't know any "Larry", but he spoke as if we were acquainted.  After reading these posts I will not return the call.

Some guy called for the Owner I asked if I could help him, he asked for the Owners wife, I told him he was unvailable. He said you can help by transfering me to the owners VM. I said can I help you again, he was pretty rude not friendly. I told him we were NOT interested, he said Interested in What? I hung up. No more call backs so far.

This is a business and we don't have time for this crazy NON SENSE!!! Be cordial at least.

Also left a message on my voicemail as Larry. Said to call back at this number (972) 815-8407. It is impossible for me to turn the phone on. 9 out of 10 calls is something like this.

Caller left v/m identifying himself only as "Larry" - as though we were acquainted with one another.  I called the number twice but it only rang and rang.  The number's exchange 253 is a south Irving, Texas, exchange.

So this caller started out as 972-253-7919, then 972-253-7803, 972-253-7501 and 972-253-7609. Every time I block one of their numbers, they go with another from their phone bank. From what I can tell from the posts re: these numbers, it's the Lions Club. I understand the need for persistence when it comes to fundraising, however there's a limit to what's reasonable. You'd think that when they reach a phone number that's been blocked, that they would get the hint and remove it from their list. Plus, I don't know anyone named UNAVAILABLE or PRIVATE, so those calls never get answered. If they call multiple times and don't leave a message, they get blocked. What a pain.

I got a call from this number a lady ask to speak to me i told her i was not at home and ask if she wanted to leave a message and she hung up

same as Cowboy's experience!  Hung up when I asked her if she'd loike to leave a message.

I have been getting tons of calls from this number. I finally called them back to see who they were. They are North Dallas Lion's Club- a charity.

Got two calls from this number, one after the other. Caller ID shows Irving TX (Probably a cell phone). No messages, just hang-ups.

I've been getting calls a few times a week.  Don't know who the caller is.
