Received call and asked for president of company.  I put him through.  He told the president that he was sending someone for his car and don't be surprised if he shows up in a pink bunny suit.  The president of our company hung up on him! And then came down and asked who or what that was and did they ask for him by name?  We don't have other peoples cars or not in business even related to anything like that.  Completely bogus and very very weird!

If you don't owe anyone it is probably a sales call. Receptionists are always so dumb they take 1+1 and make it equal 100 and get mad based on they're own dumb assumptions. I know you know what they say about assumptions.

The goal of CMB mediation is to resolve a matter outside of court, so work with the person trying to keep you away from the headaches....

Got a call from a "Darrell Jones". He asked for my boss, when I told him he was not in, he asked for the voicemail. I transferred him. He calls back an hour later to talk to my boss. I tell him that he already called and left a voicemail and my boss is not in and won't be in today. This guy throws a FIT! Saying that information would have been helpful before (I didn't even know my boss wouldn't be in until a little while before he called the SECOND time). I tell him that when David gets his message he will choose whether or not to call him back and hang up. Guy calls back a THIRD time a few minutes later. He tries to act nice, like he didn't just scream at me. He asks for my boss's personal contact information, no way am I giving that out (RED FLAG). He starts talking about doing a job for renovating a strip mall (we don't do this kind of work). I tell him we are in insurance work only. He asks what my job is at the company and I tell him I'm the receptionist and secretary. He then tells me I'm not qualified to say what kind of work we do. WHAT? Are you kidding me? Like I haven't worked here for years, written up contracts and handled clients. At this point I am so angry at this guy wasting my time that I hand up on him. What a POS he was. Obviously after reading these reviews and comments, it is clear now that he is a scam artist, since we have no debt with any other companies.

DO NOT give these people ANY information on your company!!!!!

Horses mouth...I'm not sure who you worked for but our non profit has been dealing with them for months, my boss hired them more than a year ago only to find out a few months ago that they had collected over 7000 from our client, when my boss called and talked to several bozos over there they give her the run around and tell her many different reasons why we aren't going to get that $.  One reason they said is that we contacted the customer, we didn't call the customer, they called us to ask why we had this person constantly harassing them.  This company CMB is full of idiots and crooks.  
And NO, I don't work for a competitor nor am I an ex employee, I'm a company who obviously made a big mistake.  We have however contacted the Attorney General in both Missouri and Texas...fingers crossed.

"h8 soliciters" is dead wrong about CMB having any association with Stillwell and Stone, JB Mikel, Goldman pierce, Jeff Bouno/Andrew Stanley.  Actually CMB with a few other DFW collection agencies and Attorneys in 2010 contacted ALL their victims to rally them that eventually ended up with Jeff Bouno filing bankruptcy. So CMB hates that group SERIOUISLY and they have a policy not to hire anyone with ANY past association from those blacklisted companies. CMB has even sued those employees and filed for injunctive relief but as some might know that does nothing. Collection agencies in DFW are very cut throat against each other and constantly suing each other to try to decrease the competition. NOW "h8 solicitors" got that idea in his post because of an old post on here from Jeff/Andrew about a few sales guys from Stillwell that came to look for jobs at CMB prior to it anything being known about those practices mentioned by h8 soliciters.  As soon as CMB management found out about it they fired all those people especially when CMB found out that 2 of them were paid by Jeff Bouno to try an steal CMB's client base and start that JB Mikel company.  So there is bad blood there and my original motivation for posting as "h8 soliciters" clearly doesn't know what he is talking about.  

My facts come from the other side of the phone.  I no longer work for the company as I had to move due to a death in the family but CMB from my point of view was very fair to their clients and their workers. After 2 years with them, I know personally of them helping employees during times of dire need and going the extra mile with the clients I personally dealt with.  Bear in mind the quality of the sales person has ALOT to do with the end result of a client or prospect opinion or general perspective of the company they work for. This accounts for most the posts  people have on here to rant on the internet about telemarketing or getting hung up on when a new sales person stumbles, stutters or gets frustrated.  Bottomline dont blame a company for growing, alot of people are just worthless but are given a chance atleast. Sales is not for everyone.  Bottomeline: Bad sales person = frustrated = unprofessional = rude = no sales = fired = your taken of his imaginary phone list.   For every 10 Bad ones there is 1 good one....it?s a weeding out process with any company in any industry...overhead positions will never understand sales and they believe order taking on call ins, walk ins, or drive thruz is selling. When you go in wanting to buy something you were not sold anything by anyone.  Selling is getting someone to do something they had not planned on doing until properly motived by rational reasoning.   FYI after 2 years I NEVER got one heat call at CMB ("Heat" the calls receptionist do to complain about a telemarketer to a supervisor) fyi I used to work at places that got a kick out of those calls because the caller now opened themselves up to some real horse play and it broke up the monotony of 500 calls a day. If somone hangs up on you in life, who cares, if its important they will call back.  Anyway a poster mentioned reporting to the BBB....collection agencies could care less about the BBB or any simular site.  To be honest no one should care as they are worthless unless your a retail business providing services to the end user seeking false credibility.  Just a tid bit, all you have to do is pay them a few grand a year and no matter what happens its a A+ rating you will have. Also sites like Rip off report charges $2k to remove complaints...now thats a rip off.  I mentioned them because I know of people posting there for fun and knowing the idiot companies actually pay the 2k to remove the bs complaint.

Anyway back to my point, my clients loved me and prospective companies didn't mind if I called. Its all about how you deliever your pitch and you get more with sugar than you do with salt. The issue is a newbie doesnt know what to say when they stumble, they just hang up the phone. I have taken my clients from company to company and from industry to industry.  BECAUSE the trick to being a good sales person is that a client is buying YOU not the company you work for.  This is also why some sales people get paid a lot more than others and its due to what they bring with them to the table.

hang up on them IMMEDIATELY!  They are a spin-off collection agency from MAJOR crooks called Stillwell and Stone, formerly in Plano.  One of the a***oles called me just now.  They will keep your money and lie about it.  Google Stillwell and Stone, you will see the entire lot os them is nothing but lying crooks.  Run from them.  Just another bunch of crooks who are too lazy to get real jobs.  Or too big of LOSERS. Another of their numbers is 972-646-6482.  That call came from some calling himself Michael Evans, but be warned, they lie about their names.  DO NOT LET THEM COLLECT BAD DEBTS FOR YOU, you WILL be sorry

Same as above someone called for the owner ask for him by name. I told him he was in the office but
not aval. then he hung up. I called back the number and the receptionist told me she could not answer my questions about why someone called me. She transferred me to someone named David, he could not
answer my questions either. I ask to be transferred to back to receptionist and he hung up. This company is very unprofessional and he threatened to report me for harassing him and it was he that was
harassing me. I still don not know who why or what they were calling for.

tough guy...i dont owe you any money,i got involed with 800 notes because my neighbor who is in her 80s got a call from ffg..they threating her that they will take her ssi check and fourclose on her house,sha had a mild heart attack and she is okay today...so i went over there to talk to her and she explained to me what happened it turned out ffg called the wrong number so i called them and told them what they did there response was..I DONT GIVE A F_ _ K IF THE OLD LADY DIES AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME..
now i will apologize.. when you wrote B2B collections i did not know what that meant so after i looked it up and it said business to business collections...i dont know anything about B2B collections either.im sure the law is very different from debtors so i cannot post on here anymore...AGAIN IM SORRY

Why does any of this matter, are we collecting from you? If you have money pay your bill, call our office and talk to us rather than bashing us on the internet, I'm not trying to be a big billy bad a** and act all tough, if you are significant and important why are you bashing a company that is just doing their thing. We are not scum, we all have families we all live normal lives and we have a job that isn't at all times ideal but its a job, so if you want to call me scum working to support my family and my daughter tell it to them, look my daughter in the eyes and tell her I'm scum for doing what I have to do to support her. Reassess your words and your opinions, and then talk to me realistically rather than emotionally. We are a B2B collection agency so there is no reason for Joe Shmoe to get mad unless its a legitimate mistake.

You have to forget about the fact that all collectors deal with scum all day they're lied to hung up on and everything else that comes with it. It sucks for the guys that actually have integrity and it is an actual mistake, but collectors have to assume that you are lying because everyone does.

Maybe there would never be a reason to hang up if business owners weren't so rude all the time, we know you get sales calls all the time and there's always someone that will be interested, if you decline in an unprofessional way then there is no reason to actually stay on the phone the energy you transmit will always be transmitted back to you, so don't complain about something you have the power to change. If you don't want rude sales calls, don't be rude initially. I am always polite unless someone is rude to me or takes shots at me and then I will act in the same manner that I am being treated. We're real people if you got s*** on you would have a lower tolerance to it all as well.

collector...yes you are a IDIOT...IDIOT i do not work at mcdonalds i worked for a communication company for 32 years and i receive a pension as do my wife also and all my benefits are paid by my company.. we both get ssi checks also..i also do short sales with the banks and make a nice profit from that,,,my house and cars are all paid off my grand daughters will go to college with no problem..now i know your jealous because as you work as a sleazy debt collector so you only make 7.00 an hour an 15% of what you collect and being these poor people lost there jobs due to the banks your not making any money you have to work a 12 hour day just make 100.00 and you have no benefits....RIGHT IDIOT..
