Received cell call from number 00000000000, caller asked "is this (stop the fraud)?", I answered "yes", caller said I was picked to receive a Gov't grant, I hung up. Received several more calls from that number or similar like 0000001234, which I did not answer. Later. I noticed $29.95 was withdrawn from my account, whichi I had no recollection of, I called the bank and found this was done by "American Health Benefits". Calling their number and complaining that I had never authorized a transaction with them, they played a tape in which my initial "yes" answer to the question "is this (stop the fraud)?" was repeated over and over to all the questions they inserted. Later, received a letter stating that if I did not cancel my account with them within 7 days, my account would be charged $299.95, yearly. Further calls are an exercise in futility.

Have received several calls from this number and other 972 numbers...it's because I looked up health insurance quotes online and have been contacted by a million different companies telling me that I'm approved for health insurance. Problem is, that was THREE months ago and now I actually have insurance....but they won't take me off their list even after several requests for them to do so. I'd really like to reach through the phone and hit them in the face really hard....or I was thinking about screaming REALLY LOUDLY into the phone next time...might teach them a lesson or two.  Those jerks!

I get 5 calls a day from this company. I've emailed Eric and called the call center and the lady was a snot to me. I've reported them to the donotcall.gov registry and the Illinois Attorney General's office. The only way these telemarketers will learn is to get an $11,000 fine each offense.

The girl had the nerve to try to sell me life insurance over the phone when I asked for my number to be removed.

I'm pissed, I told her I would sue with one more call to my number. She told her supervisor that I was pissing her off.

I woudn't send email.
im going to sue them.
I found information on the web and called the small claims clerk here in town and it sounds easy, like "People's Court." The web sid I can get at least $500 and some people got thousands of dollars.
I took a picture of the call id box with my fonecam, and that should be good proof.
You sue, too

If you have a picture of your callerid or other proof of the call, go to your local small claims court. Probably for less than $100, you can file suit. The court can send it certified mail.
Their registered agent:
Eric A. Balthrop      12200 Ford Road, Suite 344
Dallas, TX 75234 USA
Go here for information about the law:
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/antitm/
You can collect at least $500. In some states, $5,000 or more for small claims.
Every violation is another $500.
you ask not to call back but they do....$500
you hear a recorded message....$500
They call a cell phone, and play a recorded message....$1,000
and so on. read about the law.
If you have a judge who doesn't like telemarketers or if you can show good reason, the judge can give you three times the amount.

Could you use an extra $1,500?
