I received the same call and called the police station they stated it was a fraud and to ignore their calls. I am in North Carolina and I was told by the officer that a summons wouldn't come through a phone call but through the mail. Gives me a peace of mind. The person that called me got mad when I told him that I have proof of paying my account in full and ready for court if necessary and hung up on him and since then haven't received any calls back.

I got the same message and they are even calling my family members.  PLEASE STOP THESE PEOPLE.

Lauren Blake... Same call and same story

I received the same call as caw-conky, except it was made at my place of employment. Lauren Blake left the same message on my voicemail, stated the address of my employer and that I have 48 hours to call back. Funny the creditor wasn't even mentioned. Same number has also called my Mom, who almost had a heart attack, thinking I was going to jail.

Caller Lauren Blake claimed to be from "dispatch office" of Elite Processing Service, Plano, TX number 972-372-0221. Same crap others reported about needing to serve me with papers for a civil case -- found it strange that Illinois would use a firm in Texas  - one that can't even pronounce the county name correctly. Company with this name is a defunct mortgage broker in a different part of TX. Called a relative and friend leaving detailed messages with more information than a legit company, debt collector or whomever, would leave. Messages stated Illinois gives me 48 hours to talk to the party suing to discuss matter - IL has no such law to my knowledge. Address they had for work is NOT one that I have ever used (it is one of our satellite offices) but it is the only address that shows if you google my work phone number. 2nd message stated that if they couldn't serve me by such and such a date that judge may issue bench warrant. Checked county records after 1st call - there are no suits against me. Filed police report today due to threatening nature of calls. Played 2 messages for cop-he also stated it's a scam. My advice is to file police report and file complaint with FTC.gov.

I got the same phone call

I got a call from this company saying I was being taken to court for a civil summons over a loan someone tookout in my name to a bank in tTexas. What the crap I'm in sc. I don't even have a checking acct. Then when I told the man it wasn't me he called me a lyier and said he would see me in court and that if I showed up for court he'd make his lawyers go for the maximum amount of 5000 dollars . When the supposed loan was for 200 dollars. People need to quit trying to intimidate people. Especially when those people are 6 months pregnant. Total bullcrap.

They have called several of my relatives and friends claiming that I am being sued for check fraud, and they will be serving me at my place of employment. I would love them to stop calling! I do not even write checks! I have bill pay and a check card! Who writes checks anymore?

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore the Do Not Call list.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

Google "call blocker" for more information.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.

This man called and stated he was a lead process server!! I am mighty sick of these calls
