Capital One is ludacris!!! They call all day everyday and I feel like that is just pure harassment! Lets get one thing clear.. calling every 5 mins is not going to make a person pay any faster..Capital One please get a life!
the call comes up as Bradley Bakotic, 1-972-378-6856
Received call at 8:11am on Saturday morning. No message was left. After researching via internet, I discovered others have received harrassing phone calls from this number. Supposedly is some type of collection agency. I plan to document all contact and report the agency to the authorities if it continues to break the law.
this b***h keeps calling my girlfriend.
Calls are from Capital One Auto Finance
Don't do payment arrangements with this company. I cancelled the payment arrangements with this company and they still made unauthorized collections from my checking account. I was overdrawn by $300+ twice. I refuse to make anymore payments through my checking acct. and I did let them know when I will be able to make the payment through moneygram yet we get the same calls as well.
I'm a little overdue... just a few days past the grace period. They called me on Monday, (it's now wednesday) and I said I would be paying on friday, the nice girl said that she would note this... and then they called 4 times yesterday and now 5 times today. That's excessive. So now when it comes up on my phone it says "Loan Vultures" and I can ignore it.
It is definitely Capital One Auto Finance. The caller ID on my phone reads Austin Commercial. I am unemployed and behind on my car payments so they call me all the time. I also received calls from 800-955-6600 which is also Capital One. I decided to look up the phone number on the internet.
This # calls a business # about every 10 minutes for an employee. No matter how many times I ask them to call his personal # they keep calling here! It is very annoying! The receptionist spends more time answering calls from capital 1 than business calls. They are very rude!

You should view the entire Fair Debt Collection Practice Act and become familiar with your rights and responsibilities as a debtor.
It is quite lengthy so I have listed the chapter outline here from the U. S. Government web site as well as detailed some of the more frequently asked questions from consumers. You can also listen to a short MP3 version of a radio recording from the FTC on their website.
Sections 803 through 812 are of primary concern to debtors including what actions debt collectors may and may not take, what constitutes abuse, harassment and illegal actions, as well as section 813 which outlines civil liability for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.
If you use credit cards, owe money on a personal loan, or are paying on a home mortgage, you are a "debtor." If you fall behind in repaying your creditors, or an error is made on your accounts, you may be contacted by a "debt collector."
You should know that in either situation, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that debt collectors treat you fairly by prohibiting certain methods of debt collection. Of course, the law does not forgive any legitimate debt you owe.
Check out these commonly asked questions from the FTC about your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
What debts are covered?
Who is a debt collector?
How may a debt collector contact you?
Can you stop a debt collector from contacting you?
May a debt collector contact anyone else about your debt?
What must the debt collector tell you about the debt?
May a debt collector continue to contact you if you believe you do not owe money?
What types of debt collection practices are prohibited?
What control do you have over payment of debts?
What can you do if you believe a debt collector violated the law?
Where can you report a debt collector for an alleged violation?

I agree with SGT. No message? Must not be important. I just keep an eye on the mail. That's what really tells me what's going on. Anyone ever get one of those stupid cutoff voicemails? "...375 for an important message...") Hmmm... I dialed 375 and nothing ha[p[ened. Sure hope it wasn't a message about a dead relative. HA!
same here but on my wife?s cell phone never leave message and we will not use our cell time on a unknown number or person and if there not going to leave a message then just to bad as I will be calling the cell carrier to have this number blocked as a harassing number for the times per day calling and no message being left then also turn them into the state attorneys office to boot.
incoming call on celly no message. Thanks to all who gave comments..LOTS OF HELP! eachoneteachone

this bi*** keeps calling my girlfriend.
Same thing with me. Every hour around fifteen minutes after the hour, starting around 9:15 Am and ending around 8:15 PM.
This is Capital One Auto Finance. They also are calling from 972-378-4136 and 972-378-3658
This is Capital One Auto Finance. They call several times a day even if you have made payment arrangements with them. They want me to give them a check over the phone, which I refuse to do. I have told them that I will pay them on Friday by MoneyGram, but that doesn't seem to be good enough for them. My payment is only ten days past due. They insist that they can't stop the calls unless I give them a check over the phone.
They also call from 972-378-4136 and 972-378-3658
I received numerous telephone calls on my day off Sunday on my personal cell number for someone else by the name of Travis Wilson, I told Capital One that I do not know this person and that this is my personal cell number but I am being ignored and harrassed anyway and keep calling me like one call every 30 minutes on a sunday.
This is not Capital One. I was able to contact Capital One customer service, and they verified that these numbers in Texas are not affiliated with their organization. They asked me to call the National Fraud Information Center at 1-800-876-7060.
they call many times a day it's Capital one they call from same number and diff numbers. they call for chris and christopher he doesnt live here
They call me all the time, asking for Mary. No person with that name lives with me!!!!! But they keep on calling.
My wife recently got a new cell phone and this number keeps showing up on her caller ID with no message. If this keeps up, I intend to report it to the Texas Attorney General. This type of harrassment is against the law!!
they call every hour and even on sunday. hubby was sick and in the hospital, made payment arrangements and kept them. was late this month by 1 day and the calls started again. this should be illegal to harrass people like that.
This is Capital One Auto Finance. They are very rude and it seem that something could be done. But I under stand that there is nothing short of refinancing with someone els.
They call my cell phone many times a day and never leave a message. It would make sense that it is Capital One Auto Finance.
I understand that payment is due from Capital one, But it is not necessary for Capital one Collectors, to call anyone over 5 times in one day, Than become very rude. I myself have been a collecotr, However I was able to sympathize when many of the clients. NO one knows what situation another has to deal with in there life. Times are hard for so many weith jobs laying off and etc. So Please if the VP/ HR or Collecotrs Supervisor reads these e-mail, remember you can attract alot more bees with honey than you can with Lemon. Also, please keep in mind, that people are not avoiding paying there bills. Many have just falling on hardtimes. So if you want a call back, or an answer from someone , plesae dont be ignorant. How many peopl you know answers ,unknow callers, or unknow names. Not many. Stop the harrsement. A nice call back number , would be greatly appreciated. However, People dont realize, your paid by the number of calls you make, and you may possible bonus if you talk to so many people , with promises to pay.
I have been receiving multiple phone calls from the # 972-378-6856. The Caller ID is showing Bradley Bakotic. I figure it's Capital One Auto Finance. I guess they think that if they harass us enough with phone calls, they'll get their payment. My husband has been unemployed, but will start a new job this week, and will be getting paid weekly. So, we'll pay them once he gets a check. Maybe then the stupid calls will stop.
no message? wonder why? must not be to important.
I thought that it was illegal for collectors to call on a Sunday in Wiscosnin. I am going to call the DA tomorrow.
