Jay W. Politi is a poison. Stay away from him and do not conduct any business with this man. He defines can man with just the look on his face.
Currently he is employed with Combined Insurance and IS NOT their CEO.
He can barely recruit agents for this outfit and he is unfit to train them.

The CEO of this Company looks like a loser to me.  Check out his Linkedin profile.

http://www.linkedin.com/in/jaypoliti

Claims he attend Harvard Business School, when al he did was a attend some high price seminar.  He also claims he is pursuing a Masters Degree at Middlesex University (is that a "real" University or a Diploma Mill), yet he does not even have a Bachelors Degree and attended UCF for one (1) Year.  His work history clearly demonstrates he cannot hold a Job for more than six months, yet he is CEO of this Company!  I would stay away from this lose and this company...looks like a scam to me!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am the President & CEO of Global Consolidated Insurance Services (GCIS).I was suprised to see these comments and I will hope to address all of them for you here.

The automated call from Sally regarding GCIS is a contact system for candidates that have placed their resumes on any job board, on the web, such as Careerbuider, Hot Jobs, Monster etc.

We selected the candidates for our management and management trainee positions usually based on three criteria: 1) Management background or longevity in a position. This would indicate that you may have supervisory capability. 2) Those that had "seeking management or management opportunity". We give people an honest opportunity for advancement and those seeking to move their career forward have that opportunity here. 3) Educational background. Many have degrees in various subjects and others may have at least completed some course work. This would indicate that they have the ability to start and complete projects and as managers I am sure you would all like your staff to be able to do the same.
Global Consolidated is in the insurance industry and just like all insurance companies we pay based on sales weekly. We also give renewal income so that staff will service our customers for the long term which also delivers a great long term income to the staff members. The compensation plan is completely covered and questions are thoroughly answered during the interview process.

In the DFW market, where you rec'd the call from, we have had a tremendous response. We actually received over 6,000 responses. We have never had that kind of response in any market before and it did overwhelm our staff which caused you to get a voice mail whether after pressing 1 or calling back into our corporate office.

The good news is that in a 3 day time span we did call back over 5,000 respondents that did leave voice mails. We have also hired over 100 people and will continue. Some were licensed insurance agents, some marketing representatives for non-insurance products and others are now attending insurance pre-licensing school to become licensed agents and had never been in this industry before.

It is our intention to make a long term home here in the DFW market by opening approximately 20 offices. To do so we will need approximately 500 people to properly staff and manage those operations to serve our clients.

I am sorry for the delay in information that you may have experienced but we are committed to reaching out to all that are looking for a career and that may be interested in a management position. It is my sincere hope that if you are seriously looking for a career position that you will be patient and allow us the opportunity to speak with you about our company and your experience and how the two may just be good fits for each other.

I wish you the very best in your job search and will be available for any questions via email at jpoliti@GCisLIFE.com .

Sincerely,
Jay W. Politi

Telemarketer
I used to own a telemarketing company in the 80's. I had high turnover then for insurance clients setting appointments for their sales people.

With today's technology, and more apathy toward 'pounding the pavement', it only makes sense to use automated systems to see if applicants will go through multiple steps and show they're hungry enough for the higher expense of an in-person interview.

For ethical reasons, this process should include more information - including compensation - every step of the way. I don't know if GCIS does this, but the initial recorded intro sounds like it starts out that way.

Caveat Emptor.

Received a voice mail from a Sally, calling on behalf of GCIS and Jay Poteeti, President of GCIS.  She said Mr. Poteeti wants to interview me tomorrow, Thursday, at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m, June 2.  I phoned back but it went to voice mail.  I asked to return my call.  Then I went online to read all these comments.  Thanks to everyone who commented.  I pray all of you seeking jobs will find a job soon.

I just got that call too.
it said that they are looking to fill slots for interiews on thursday, i forgot the date but its this thursday i *think*. anyway, to set up the interview, I had to press a button or W/E and when i did, i was rerouted to a voice mailbox and I left my name and phone number there for someone with a pulse to call back. The interesting thing is that they werent actually there, but the automated system routes you to their mailbox anyway.
What kind of moron turns on a device to funnel calls to his desk, then goes home?!?

I just received this call from Sally. I too thought it was unusual. So I like everyone else checked the phone number and found these posting. I want to thank you EVERYONE who posting information. We as job seekers and this economy we don't have time to waste with such so called jobs. I decided not to call back and concentrate with legitmate companys and matching my skills with them. Thanks again and GOOD LUCK to ALL the job seekers! :-)

Got the famous call from sally... this is bs. After reading all of your posts i decided not to call. In hindsight any company who uses an automated recording to contact you doesnt even care enough to pick up a phone....what an impressive recruiting tactic!!!!!!!! I almost feel stupid for even giving this 2 more thoughts. FYI i also had customer service on my resume

I received the same automated phone call from Sally @ GCIS  I was very suspicious because of the manner I received it  It didn't seem legitimate that someone would send an automated message to secure my employment  I researched the company and found these responses from others who experienced the same phone call  It was good to know that I was probably right and this was a scam

My husband had the phone when they called, and they asked him to push a button to set up an interview and so he did, and they sent him to a voicemail. I tried calling it back, and called 5 times before they answered and then they said that they were going to have interviews on Tuesday at 2 different times and that they would send me an e-mail with the address and all the information, and never did. So I never went.

This is similar to a call i received last year, I went to this "Interview" and was a position to drive around different areas of DFW to convince people to switch back to TXU, this was a door to door sales position that paid commission only and you had to use your personal vehicle, not to mention you could not get reimbursed for gas and such by the company. This is not worth the time nor effort to pursue because they will have you reschedule for a second and third interview to secure a position. Do not try this unless you have money to burn on gas and maintenance on your vehicle. P.S. you need to be a really smooth talker to convince people to switch when the rates are right at the same or higher. Do with this information as you please, this is just an opinion by someone that doesn't like to be cheated.

This is an automated call from an automated computer named Sally.  She claims she is calling on belalf of Jay Polleedi who is the President of GCIS.  Basically they are some sort of recruiting firm that find resumes on job search websites and want you to call them back to set up 'interviews' for various positions.  Typically these are pyramid deals.
