I am fed up with these phone calls also. They call any hour of the night, as late as 11 PM and even on Sundays. They call my residential and cell numbers. They call so frequently that I am editing my phone calls hoping their records will eventually show "no activity" and they will remove my number from their list. It takes each one of us to deal with these thieves.

Thanks for taking the time and sharing information to report these scammers. I takes people like you to help some of us who are not cybernetic literate.

If it is in fact a "collection" call then YES it is illegal UNLESS you agreed to allow them to call at "unreasonable times".
Federal law dictates that "reasonable" times are 8am to 9pm in YOUR timezone, not theirs.
Hope this helps...

Candace 2012-04-06 01:09:50 Unknown
Yes, I have a debt with them that was just under $7000. It is now over $8K, because of their late fees. They offered me the 60% deal and I am ignoring it. If I could pay them at all I would be....where the heck am I suppose to come to with a lump sum ? I have offered to pay a lower payment monthly, but they don't accept it. So....forget it. I won't pay at all. All they can do is 1099 you for the amount you owe.
Candace 2012-04-06 01:03:31 Unknown
LOVE your spirit ! YES....they are exactly like you say !!! Don't give a RIP about what they do to the consumer, making it IMPOSSIBLE to pay off the debt. Will not even work with you to make a payment plan you can afford. The heck with them !!!!!!!!!!

No message, I do not have any business with Chase. No reason for any calls from them,
fedup* 2012-03-28 17:17:53 Debt Collector
This is Chase & they use various phone #'s to call, including, but not limited to;
972-512-5500
224-222-5000
224-699-6000
847-488-6100
847-488-6000
If you block one #, they rotate it over to next # 'ad infinitum' & they ain't gonna give up or stop !
j 2012-03-24 17:37:08 Unknown
It is very illegal and could result in Chase having to pay a $1000 penalty. Its mandatory and there are law firms who will collect it for free seeing as how they can collect attorney fees on top of that. Look up Centennial law group. Be sure and save ANY documentation ie caller ID, messages, phone records showing where they have called you. Good luck.

Please file a complaint with the FCC for each and every call you get. These people are NOT CHASE - no matter what they say. You can call Chase directly and give them the number and they will tell you that these types of calls are SCAMMERS trying to get your personal information. Please go to www.FCC.GOV and file a complaint right on line. It is the only way to stop them. The more complaints the FCC gets the more pressure they have to find these creeps.

getting calls 3x daily from: 224-222-5000, 877-488-6000,72-512-5500 I believe it is a SCAM to get personal info. B careful
Michae 2012-02-28 16:20:03 Unknown
I'm pretty sure this is a scam. The hacker/scammer is spoofing the phone number. Chase may be big and obnoxious, but they wouldn't blatantly disregard the call times. I received the call on my cell phone and it's not the primary phone number for the account. Use your brain with these types of phone calls and do not give out any information no matter how minor it may seem to you. They fish for small details then put them all together in a package to sell or use illegally. Get smart, there will only be more of these types of calls.

Have you heard that everyone is being offered to pay off their total balance at 60% of the total? I wonder what the minimum size of the balance must be for them to make this offer?

Who is this person calls me late at night or early morning. Never puts anything in the voice mail! What do you want, and stop waking me up!
Girl in AR 2012-01-13 02:29:51 Debt Collector
I called Chase to close my account and see if I could work out a lower payment plan with lower interest rate. My business is going under but I'm trying not to file bankruptcy and pay my debts. The rep said too bad and if I didn't pay them 60% of the total then they would sue me. I checked my CID and they call 8 times in one day with the last at 8:30 pm. I guess now they wished they would have taken my offer even if it was a small amount every month, it would have been something instead of dissing me. Now they get nothing!
exChase 2012-01-05 02:23:02 Unknown
They just called me at 9:18 PM
Cassie 2011-12-27 15:21:04 Unknown
They called and I answered because I have friends who live in that area... They hung up as soon as I answered. I'm reading that it's a chase bill collector, but I have never had any accounts with them. Ugh!

These are the sleezeballs who raised everyone's interest rates 5% - 10% unannounced and overnight. The same people who received your on-time monthly payments, despite their doubling of the original interest rate and monthly minimum of your account. The same people who then cancel your card at the annual renewal and new card issuance date, despite a long and good standing history. These are the same people who then send letter after letter to you, the "valued customer" inticing you to settle the outstanding debt created by their own immoral and unethical business practices.
If you are a Chase current or former customer, and despite locating the call's origin on "whocallsme", somehow feel compelled (or intoxicated) in taking a call from (972) Carrollton, just tell them you are treating them with the same amount of dignity Chase bestowed on you. Tell the call center drone passed off as a Chase "rep", that you fully intend on paying off the card's balance. Wait for a reply and the question "when?". Your answer... "when I receive my federal bail-out check"; then hang up!
