Over the last 5 months I have gotten 6 calls all with the same message but from 6 different numbers. Upon researching I find that 2 of them are not even valid numbers! They are also from different states and some come up as cell numbers. Calls have been from New Jersey- (862) 225-1363 (#not valid), Florida (305-587-2145), Chicago IL (773-945-5693), Manhasset NY (516-453-6962), Missouri (417-800-2331)(# not valid), & from Texas which the # comes up as belonging to Quinton Holloman 2853 Trent Ct Grand Prarie TX 95052 (972-522-1729). Whats the point of blocking if they call from different numbers every time??

I am on the national "do not call" list...I get several of these crap calls every week. I just add their number to my "do not answer" contact.

just wish they would stop calling since I am on the national DNC list

I've read the comments, and yes, we are all frustrated and want to say a few chouce words to those who apparently are living off our tax money (welfare) and have nothing better to do with their lives....(that's the decent version). Anywho, this phone # is from Texas (Arlington or Grand Prarie - if you use whitepages.com and do a reverse phone search, you'll get the names of Holloman, Hollomon)....
But who's to say that this is correct? If people are getting to our personal stuff, and hacking "secure" information from banks and the government, who's to say they aren't entering any "from" phone # and using it to accomplisg whatever they want and aggravate everybody in the process? I have received "we buy junk cars" texts at 3am. when I've called the number to let them have it, someone answers and apologizes and says they didn't do it. They could be lying, but one of them really apologized, sounded confused and said they don't even buy cars. Sigh....the government spends so much of our money doing nothing....maybe they should do something about this.
Somebody called my son-in-law late one eve, mentioned him by name, saying it was his cousin "so and so" (used cousin's name and known location) and asked for money, because he his car broke down and he had to get home to "daddy". Well, why didn't he call DADDY??? Their trick is to make you nervous, panicky and confused with the lies and then we are easy prey. Well, have a nice day y'all!!!

Automated message about reducing IRS back debt. Calls on a regular basis, even though I have no IRS debt, past or present. Says you can press "7" to be removed - and if you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona......

Bunch of idiots. I hope they do call back...... Just sayin'
Tim 2013-06-09 15:10:53 Unknown
Federal law requires the number on your ID is the number you can call the person back on.
LMAO 2013-06-07 19:44:43 Unknown
guys, tell them that you need to go to your car and get your purse to give them the information they need and to call you right back on your cell number then give them the number to the FBI :) It is really that simple - make sure the number that you give them at the FBI goes to a person and not an automated machine. It's funny how quickly rings are busted when you do it that way! If I could get them to call me again, I would but they havent called since I came up with my plan.

Reported this caller to my State Attorney General office. They love this stuff and the DNC List as well as the FCC conplaints do NOT work.

They called my cellphone at 4:53 this afternoon (June 6 2013). No message. I do not answer calls from unknown callers. Another scammer.

They wanted personal info. Probably an identity theft attempt
sam 2013-06-06 13:40:07 Unknown
googled while ringing, didn't answer - thanks to the warnings

They called about some tax issue that needed to be resolved. By that I know they are a scam because we use a tax accountant firm for all our taxes, and they've provided impeccable services for nearly 40 years, with no history of misleading reports.
Note: Don't ever push any number to 'get removed from the list' on these types of calls. The only effect pushing whatever number they tell you is for the scammers to verify that the call got through, and that your number is indeed a number in use that they can call later with other services.

hey called me @ 6 am this morning claiming they were the IRS. It was a black woman with poor grammar wanting me to send her my bank routing number so she could have my social security check every month. I couldn't quite believe my ears. SCAM, use extreme caution!
Landline Call Blocking 2013-06-04 21:13:55 Unknown
I want to add this about call blocking for those with landline telephones.
I have a landline phone and my provider in SoCal is Cox Communications.
I just learned that if I have their Premier Plan, I can use *60 to add a list of blocked telephone numbers. Even if I only have their basic plan, it is only $6.00 more per month for this feature, called Selective Call Rejection. Hmmm.
Adding the last incoming call is done by simply pressing #01#. This of course eliminates having to key in the number that just called.
So check with your phone provider if my note applies to your situation and this looks worth pursuing.
Some of you may prefer to purchase a new phone that has call blocking built in.
SERIOUSLY??????????? 2013-06-04 20:28:49 Unknown
People, it is really simple. DONT PICK UP THE PHONE IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER!!
IF IT IS IMPORTANT, THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE OR FIND ANOTHER MEANS OF CONTACTING YOU! I mean seriously! I only looked up the number because I have family that just recently moved to Texas, and wanted to see if this was their new number, and obviously it is not. They didnt leave a message, so I looked upt the number, and come to find it is one of those numbers. Don't pick up the phone for people you dont know... Would you open the door to your home to a complete stranger you have never met? Think about it...
Mike 2013-06-04 20:21:41 Unknown
It's not the IRS. The IRS knows where everyone lives and sends letters. I get tax refunds every year, I don't owe taxes... and these guys called my office phone, my direct line (which the IRS does not have).

Have received a couple of calls from the number 972-522-1729 and did not answer the phone. When I called the number back I got a recording "the number you have dialed is not a working number".
