I just got a call from a 240 area code saying the same thing "I'm calling in regard to a survey you recently took online." With an employment opportunity. I said I haven't taken any surveys recently and he said "well someone in your household has answered that they are interested in job opportunities, so letsget started on your employment profile." I told him no one is looking for a job, have a nice day and hung up on him. I got the same call several months ago, I didn't catch on as quickly and he was very nice.  It was obviously from a different number because my phone didn't register a call history for the number. I'm just confused as to how they even got my #, so I can effectively block the calls.

just got a call from them not 2 min. ago dont know why they said i filled out some servey and said it was for a job that i was interested in i said no and hung up i have verizon and just got a new phone

I received a call from this number as well. Judging by everyone's post it might just be a "robo" call. If this is true I'm going to block it so I can prevent it from waking me up at 7 again.

18017539013 was the number of the call I got first about the survey and then he hung up after asking if I was a citizen. 20 seconds later I received a call from this 972 number but I did not pick up.

Got a message from this scammer. I looked this this page as he was trying to talk to me. I referenced this page, asked him what scam he was attempting to pull, and he cursed at me and hung up.

Got a call. When I picked it up there was no answer, then it said I was being disconnected from a conference call. I think it was a bogus robo-call.

several calls from this phone number, but no message left. When I called this number, I got a recording saying it was a non working number.

I missed their call and they didn't leave a message.  I have an ad listed through my local newspaper and I'm guessing they got my # there.  My phone service is through Verizon.

Just got a call from this number. Really angers me that I am getting these types of calls. I'm trying to sell my truck and thought maybe I just got my first call while I had been sitting in class. No voicemail was left, and that's when I looked up the number. Screw these guys.

Received a call from 972-587-7278. No one was on the other end of the call, and after about 5 seconds, the call disconnected with an automated voice saying "Goodbye." I called the number back, and received a recording telling me the number was out of service. Is this some sort of phishing scam?

I answered this call and it was silent for a moment but then there was a beep and a robot said goodbye and cut off.

Got a call from this scammer earlier today (8 Feb 2013).  I have friends in low places (i.e., I worked for a phone company for a while, but have moved on, but my friends still do), and got them to pull the records on the number.  The company is "Wn Positions" (the lack of capitalization is as they are listed, not un-capitalized initials) - and purports to be an employment agency.  It's on a land line originating in Dallas, Texas.  The carrier is "Bandwidth.com CLEC LLC - TX"

I had the exact same thing happen.

I just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  It would not dial back or ring so I blocked it.  Thank you MetroPCS Call Block.  I own a real estate firm - I have work, income and do not need prank calls eating up my personal and business time.

I answered the call I didn't say hello or anything as soon as I picked up the phone it said "You are the only one in this conference call." Then the call went silent.  I never said a word I just hung up.  Have no idea what it is!

Just got it on a 618 area code phone.  I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, so I don't no what the speal was.

I have a 336 area code and received a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

I just got a call from this number. Said they are calling because someone in my house filled out a survey looking for jobs, then when I inquired what site I was on, he said something about a Wal-mart gift card I signed up for. I didn't get a gift card from Wal-mart. He also wouldn't tell me what site I was looking for a job on (so I could track who's calling me). Everytime I asked a question, he was evasive. His main questioning was about wanting to ask me questions to match me with jobs I might be good for since I filled out a survey online looking for a job. I hung up on him.

My father, who is almost 90, got a call from this number, saying that they had just seen his resume and were very interested in talking to him about job opportunities --  needless to say, he is NOT looking for any job!  LOL!  My guess is that they're trying to collect information about people to use for identity theft purposes.

I got this call on my cell phone. Since I know that if someone calls you, you can swear all you want at them. But if you call them, you can get in trouble if you are nasty, they can claim harrasment. So anyway, I ripped this person apart by saying nasty things about what I'm going to do with his wife, and how he should find a real job, etc. He hung up as fast as he could.
