they call ever 20 min. but if they would leave a message I could get back with them. And if it is home depot, they lost my business anyway for bad business with customers.

Constant calls to my business line. When I answer no one replies. I do have a Home Depot account but the ridiculous amount of calls to a work number are causing serious issues with my job. I swear we should be able to sue them for harrassment!

They've called me twice today.  I don't believe it's home depot.  it could be a collection agency or marketing group.  I don't have accounts with any of them.  If it is Home Depot, it might be the sweepsteaks that you enter online... i've heard that they call if you won the 10K!!! Maybe i'll answer next time!

"Irving, Texas" comes up on the caller ID with the number 972-655-5216.  Don't have a Home Depot or CitiGroup account.  Calls 3 times a day and they hang up when I answer the phone.  Now that I know it's Home Depot, Lowe's just got me as a customer.  Very much a pain in the neck!

they claim that my bill was late but they had no clue when it was due...  then, they said the payment was actually less than what my bill really was... turns out they we're all over me for being 11 dollars past due when it turns out I had paid 10 dollars more than i was billed. The icing on the cake is that they called me approx 15 times and hung up on me 13 of those times. LOL I'm shopping at Lowe's. Check that.. I'm paying cash, going old school and shopping the local guy. I might have to wait but it's worth it

I kept getting calls from the number as well...

I finally just called it back, it is a confirmed CitiBank number, the representative asked if I was an account holder with Home Depot and asked for my name, I told him my name is irrelevant as I am not an account holder with either Home Depot nor CitiBank, he then marked my cell phone as a 'bad number' and placed it on the 'do not call' list.

Sometimes, calling the strange numbers back that called you can help.

hopefully I wasn't the only one with courage enough to do this since it was so easy.

They are calling on behalf of Diners Club/Citibank. Don't owe them a dime and person on other end got very snippy when I wouldn't tell her my name!! I told her that my name was not any of her business and that she should know who she is calling because she dialed my number. Calls several times a day. I told her not to call again and that I would report the number to the Do Not Call Registry.

I answered after reading the comments here.  It was on behalf of Home Depot.  I made a charge during one of their no interest, no payments promos and according to them it wasn't covered.  I asked them to waive the ($30.00!) late fee b/c I was told it was covered by the promo.  They did and I made a payment over the phone...after verifying that she was not phishing for my credit card.

Still don't understand why they wouldn't just leave a message.

same number...... 972-655-5216  get calls every other day.  I do not have a Home Depot credit card.  I think the next time I should answer their call to inform them of this and to have them take my number off of their mailing list.  I hope that my spelling and sentence stucture meets the approval of other's posting their comments.

Keith do you work for the Credit Card companies? Who cares about spelling when someone is getting harrassed by Citibank. If these companies would simply leave a message instead of calling every half an hour no one would have any issues spellig or otherwise.

Absolutely hilarious.  Since most likley everyone looking up this phone number is undergoing some financial hardship, this made me laugh out loud.

My phone rang this morning 3 or 4 times and the call ceased before I answered.  Caller ID says "Citigroup Glbal" but the number on caller ID was 972-655-5218.  My message light was on, but only breathing, and no talking was recorded on the message.   Sad.  

Just read the posts for 972-655-5216.  Sounds like the caller could be Citigroup and/or Home Depot.  

However I do not have any outstanding debts, do any banking with Citigroup, do not have a Citigroup credit card, and do not have a credit card with Home Depot, so I have no idea how they got my number.    

I am on the do not call list.

Now I know why people screen their calls.

They should have known that a spell checking program would see the word 'waist' and catch it as an error, because we all know that the word 'waist' does not exist in any context, and is therefore misspelled and not merely a homonym which would not be caught by spell checking. Aah, you fool, you should take a lesson from Keith. Notice Keith's perfect grammar, spelling, and sentence structure? That's the way to do it! Again, good work, Keith. This number is from Citigroup a division of citibank who handles the Home Depot Credit cards. These are NOT telemarketers and the DO NOT CALL list wont work for this number. Regardless of what people think putting your number on the Do not call list will NOT stop all telemarketing calls.
It will ONLY stop MOST calls from telemarketers that use a computer generated calling system. The telemarketers that work in a boiler room and calls number from the phone book will NEVER stop calling.

Now, back to the 972 number. I started to get these calls over a year after I got this new cell phone. From the previous dead beat that had my number. They called SEVERAL times a day. The calls originated from Irving Texas. I asked to be taken off the list. They still called. I went on google and did a search for the Irving Police Dept. You can file harassment charges online for unwanted phone calls. I called back the 972 # and talked to a supervisor and gave her the temp case # and told her I was Paul and I was filing Charges. I told her I had 6 recorded calls from the supervisors me stating that I was not paul and wanted off the list. (That was a lie - I had no such recording) I told her that I sent a copy via a CD to the irving police.
That never called again

It is Citibank global and they call 3x'x a day...early morning, mid-day and late evening and Weekends. It is for Home Depot card holders who may be late with pymts.
Here's what I started yesterday------they call me 3x's....I call my local Home Depot 6x's to complain....sooner or later someone will get fed up and get them to stop calling......FYI---Citibank received $47 billion dollars bailout-----some of that was my money, and your money and our neighbor's money....can we call them and ask them when they plan on paying us back, so we can pay our debts and can we charge them Late Fees?

Maybe that person just gave them your number to throw the company off track there by throwing you under the bus at the same time.
