Someone is calling from 855-678-5437 leaving up seen distrubing messages

Oh they call themselves Financial Crime Services.

I was notified by my oldest son last week, that someone with this number had called him trying to find me, and had been looking for me for years.  They stated that I had committed check fraud complete with a reference number #2013-20805, and that they needed me to contact them immediately or they would turn me over to the authorities.  They stated it was last chance and had mailed me notice on Jan 10th.  Looked thru mail and did not see anything connected to this.  Getting calls from a 202 number as well.

This is a fraud!!! Everything said above is true and happened to me today. The people that called claimed their names were James Gates (claiming to work for the local courthouse) and the other was named Rachael Miller from the deut collection company. She at one point started to swear and yell at me when I became suspicious of all this. What they didn't know was our courthouse is closed today do to the snow storm in the northeast, my aunt works for the courthouse, and I'm a former cop. Do not do anything they tell you. Just tell them you know they are a fraud and you are going to report them to the proper authorities!

This is not a collection agency. They are people who somehow gained enough information on people to make themselves sound convincing. If they claim to represent a company, call the company. If they say they are the clerk of courts or anything like that, they are full of it. IF there is a case against you, the courthouse will not be calling. IF there are federal warrants out for your arrest, they won't be calling you or your family on the phone.

People are calling from this number and advising that there is a "docket" number for a court case for check fraud against me. They called using a method to make the caller id that of the local courthouse. These people are FRAUDS! They even called my relatives. I am an attorney. I am fully aware of collection laws and with these scams. Please do not entertain these people. By the way, they are calling from a cell phone and their voicemail states that you've reached the finalization department and to leave all your information. They will get back to you within 24 hours. What they are doing is indeed illegal. They are idiots to boot.

i just called the my local court house and was told the same thing by the courts, that if the collection agency is using there number and representing the courts they can get in trouble

Received a call from this number yesterday and today it showed as court house and the person mis-presented himself as a D.A in Wisconsin,regarding a 5yr old check. My attorney said I can sue for harassment and so could the courthouse for misrepresentation

Called, breathed heavily and did not speak.
