This same number and same company called asking for a president by name that retired 15 yrs ago.  Different person.  Better manners this time than some of the prior posts.  They apparently were cold calling off of a very old list.  They have a website and they do appear to be legitimately drilling new wells and operating existing wells in TX.  I also found court records showing they are real.  But they have many complaints on this website, which is not what one would expect from a respectable company.  I'm involved in the industry and know how much revenue is surging from frack wells today.  Their cold call suggests they must not be a very successful operator, if they need to cold call to raise investment capital, in a business environment that has surging profits.  If they were successful, wouldn't it be reasonable that their current investors would be telling others, or their current investors would be reinvesting their prior profits on new wells.  Why give up your seat if the ride is already great?  Also, who would put money into a company that pisses off so many people by rude telemarketing practices?  I can't say if they are good or bad, but there sure are warning flags.

These jokers called me AGAIN today looking for "the owner".  Says he is from Texacoma and has "free money" to give investors.  Um, yeah, right.  Keeps calling here even when told repeatedly not to call back. A reputable company would not keep calling back when asked not to. He has no callback number.  A reputable company would have a callback number.    Then he starts insulting me because "I cannot make decisions for the owner".  Really?  This one I can!  Call me back again.  Guarantee you will NEVER get any owner on this number!!!  Too bad there isn't a "scam" option under call type.

I am an FA on Wall St.  oil and gas is hot!! We can't offer these products.  Wish we could because the investors are only the high net worth.   Also the cold call is really the only way to get the word out about working interest projects, finra is to heavy on advertisement rules to do anything else.  Btw your slandering a company's name by calling them a scam... Good luck in court if they find you.

Just received a call from a Mike Watson from 972-701-9106. He sounded like he was talking with his mouth full, because I couldn't understand 90% of what he was attempting to say. When I asked him a few questions such as what is the call about, he hung up on me. When I called the # back, a secretary claiming she didn't know any Mike Watson answered. He made the same little "whatever" comment that he gave Erin above as he hung up. SCAM!

I guess that the majority of people, who post negative comments on this site, have never done any research about investing. I work for one of the major brokerages on wall street,  have since 1977. I do not know what you do for a living, starting a business is hard work, a lot of phone calls. That is the only way that most successful salespeople get started, be it insurance, stocks or oil and gas. Contacting people with the financial resources to invest. Years later you get a lot of business thru referrals. still 50% of most sales are still developed thru cold calling!

Perhaps one of the reps or "investors" for this company could be kind enough to provide us with the url for their website or a link to their prospectus

Did you read this piece of crap before you posted it? Why not pick a financial advisor out of a bunch of drunks at the pub. Throw darts at a board to pick stocks, it's safer. A cold call & I made $$$. Get the shovel folks, the horse ate well!

I do business all over the world and the majority of these relationships have been very profitable for me.
I used to not take these calls, one day I started to wonder what they had to offer. I am very. very. glad that I took their calls. Made a lot of $$$$ and earned substantial tax breaks. I learned to take all of the calls ,some of them have been very good and others not so good. I believe that I am smart enough and educated enough to make my own investment decisions. I would never let my receptionist make these decisions for me.

I have been involved with this company for years, They are as legitimate as can be. Oil investments are risky. If all wells were good, they would not need investors! Working Interest deals are not a scam. It is the way that real oil company's do business. This enables the investor to receive the
substantial tax benefits.  If you do not understand the oil and gas business and Investing, please be silent so that you do not confuse people!

This person calls at less 3 times a week always the same wants to speak to the owner of the company when he is informed that he is not available and I would like to take his information so that he can give him a call back once he is in the office he hangs up . Now if this is a legitimate office and he is looking for people to invest in their business you would assume that he would leave his information not just hang up.  Right!

A guy with Texakoma Oil Co. selling "working intrests". Working intrest is just a scam to hook you into become "part owner" of a well. When they need more money you have to fork it over. Then when the EPA comes down on them, You are responsible for the mess and not the actual company.

DON'T DO IT PEOPLE! You can't afford it. Tell them to shove off and never call again!

I marked them below as a telemarketer, only because they don't have the option to mark it as a scam.

Quality investment opportunities don't cold call a small sized company 2000 miles away. Getting tired of these people constantly calling only wanting to talk to the business owner and leaving mo message. Sorry, but you will never get transferred to them through me and I will be answering the phone 95% of the time.

DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS.....

972-701-9106. The firm's name is Texakoma Financial. If your business owner you have probably been called by this company to look at investing in oil and gas drilling in various places

The company is a legitimate investment firm. Their office is in Plano, Texas. They are a member of FINRA. They also require their representatives to be licensed by the State. I posted a link below.

Received a call (972) 701-9106, a man identifying himself as "SAM" with Texakoma wanting to speak with our company owner. Sam insisted he speak with him regarding a financial investment. Attempted to obtain contact information to arrange a callback, SAM refused stating he could not be reached and there is no number available for a callback. Why would anyone want to invest with someone they couldn't callback for more information and follow-up. REALLY!?! It is a SCAM!

Okay so I did some research after getting the calls. First, If you have been a business owner for longer than 2 seconds then you know there are scams in the oil and gas industry that call you up and try to get you to invest your hard earned money. And yes, it's a little unsettling when I get a call from an oil and gas "company" because you don't know which is which.

Texakoma, however, is in fact a completely legitimate oil and gas investment firm in the Plano area there North of Dallas. They are registered with FINRA, the financial regulatory authority. The guys, or gals that call me or you are licensed brokers by the state of Texas and they had to pass a series 22 and series 63 securities exam prior to them being employed there. Of course the economy being what it is, I have no money to invest in anything but my own business. But at least if you get a call from this number, you can rest assured that they are not a scam.
