The home page of the web site "Brandon" references is titled "El Paso Federal Officers Regional Lodge #82".

Under the "Telemarketing" page is stated "The El Paso Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Lodge 82 conducts telemarketing campaigns in the city....El Paso residents may also receive calls from the Texas State Fraternal Order of Police; both entities conduct telemarketing activities in the El Paso area".

What does this have to do with the rest of Texas? Looks like they decided to extend their calling area! Robocallers extraordinaire! Conclusion...Bogus organizations also have web sites!

Wish they would stop calling!!!! The only donation I've ever given or ever will give is when I paid a traffic citation years ago!!!!.........

This place is scam. They got mad when I asked questions about their location, membership info, donations info. Gotta love Call BLOCK.

I am so tired of these scamers calling and being a pest on the phone.i have askd to block all you kind of people and others too, what do you not get by when people say don,t call me . if i could reach through the phone line you would find some many hanging by the phone cords .

This is the Texas Fraternal Order of Police, a non-profit rip off who continue to call. They will tell you they will remove your name from their call list but never do. Just some more of our "DON'T CARE SOCIETY" we now live in.

These are the numbers for the "TX FOP" I have received in the last 2 months.
I have lived in Texas all my 45 years....I don't recall any of these area codes.
They will keep calling until you donate money. If you give money, they will double the number of calls to get more. It is basically a scam, you want to help, but different call centers keep 60-80% of the money you give them. It is a total crap organization.
Don't give your money to these people. Please support your local PD and FD. Do it on a local leval.

This call is getting too ridiculous and goes everywhere, how do we stop it???

I got this call yesterday when I was eating dinner for the first time. He said this is Plano police and wanted to talk to my husband. The call ID showed Plano which is our neighbor city. He even said my husband's name correctly.
I told him that my husband is not at home, is there anything wrong? Rudely, he just hung up the phone and said nothing. That let me wonder if my husband did anything wrong outside and did not want to tell me, that is the reason I got to this place. Isn?t that horrible that I suspected my husband? The good thing is that I found out this scam. But just want to let other people know it before any more people get the same bad feeling as me.

this is the same number that called our unlisted number about 12 mos.ago  they never leave a message- just see the caller ID number.  I heard someone on another blog say it was  Fraternal Order of Police - but they never leave message and we never pick up unless we know WHO is calling.

Only a freakin' moron would donate to these creeps!  Donate to the Boy Scouts.  They won't bug the living crap out of you begging for help.  Their Trail's End popcorn is great.  Donate to the Girl Scouts too.  Their THIN MINT cookies are the best.  Buy a buncha boxes and freeze them for later.  Give to the folks that deserve it.  The FOP of Texas might as well take a long walk on a short pier over shark infested waters as far as I'm concerned.  I don't have the time of day from those jerks.

I just forward my land-line phone to my cell and program the cell to recognize the number.  Then I program the number to their own individual "silent" ringtone.  Everybody else rings through without a hitch.  Calling me is a waste of their ignorant assed Fraternal Order of Police of Texas boiler room talents.

These guys call me periodically. I tell them not to call and that the sheriff is my neighbor. I have to hang up on them. So I keep reporting them to the national do not call registry...I figure after a certain number of complaints... maybe they'll get fined...How much do we pay the govt for the natnl do not call list anyway?? There are so many repeat reports of numbers...I wonder if they really do anything?? But, it is easy to fill out the complaint,So, I won't give up...

It is the Texas Fraternal Order of Police for fallen officers - non profit agency. If you call the number back and wait for a rep. just give them your number and tell them to remove it. They were very nice about it. They also call from a couple of other numbers but if you say "don't call" at one number it will take care of all the numbers for those people. Takes 24 hours. If they still call after that you can report them - even if it is a nonprofit! that doesn't matter! :)

Just answer the phone and set it down.  They will talk about five minutes before they figure you are no longer there.

Got a call from these people they did want money.  SCAM, though I already put the number in the do not call...

Soliciting for donation, VERY pushy.  Told him we take charitable giving seriously and plan annually.  Asked him to send me information and he hung up on me.

These people called again! Last month Argyle,Tx. and now Plano Tx.
Mr.Ron is very hateful person on the phone.And our county taxes pays for

These idiots keep calling me - I refused to answer their call from 940-295-1889, caller ID "Argyle, TX", so now teh scum are bugging me from th8is number (972-769-5168, caller ID "Plano, TX").

I'm on the Do Not Call list - how does this ripoff joint get around the illegality of defying it?  If i knew what agency to which I need to send complaints, believe me, I'd send them.

ALso, how do these con artists get away with *continually* giving people the impression that they ARE the Fraternal Order of Police?  This is simply absurd!
