This is not a telemarketer, but a political call which is exempt from the Do Not Call list.  Yes, you can file a complaint about the time the call came in.

Got a recorded call from this number at 11:30pm. It is illegal for telemarketers to call that late. I'm encouraging everyone to file complaints with:

Got calls last nite at 11:30pm and 12:30pm. We have received 6 calls today from these a$$holes. This makes me want to move out of Texas. This is pissing people off . Especially the ones that have to get up for work. Get a life.

I got 3 hang up calls to from 972-769-5177.  This is the same number that called me a little over a week ago soliciting for votes in Texas.  I told them at the time do not call me and will not vote for anyone who calls me soliciting for personal gain...political votes.  I will vote for the opponent.  I never gave them my number nor did I authorize them to contact me.  Now they have called 3 times today hanging up each time.  I call this number back and it just rings.  I thought voting is only early vote/mail or in person.  Never heard of being called to place votes.  This is not legal.

On January 20, 2014, through January 21, 2014, repeated phone calls from 972-769-5177.

On the 20th in a span of about 4-1/2 hours I received three phone calls from this number:

One at 8:17 PM.
One at 11:35 PM.
One just before one o'clock in the morning at 12:40 AM on the 21st.

Then, later on in the day on the 21st I received yet more phone calls from this number:

One at 2:06 PM.
One at 3:37 PM.
One at 4:34 PM.

I picked up the phone on the last call and used George Carlin's F-word on 'em in several different ways, and I was met with silence.  

I just want to know where they work in Plano so I can meet them in the parking lot after work and teach 'em a little phone etiquette--redneck style.

If you're a female phone rep pullin' this crap on working people at one o'clock in the morning . . . well . . . I guess I'll just sneak up on you in the parking lot, then turn you over my knee and whup you like your daddy used to do.

Correction - that Level 3 Communications fraud abuse number is 1-800-348-5457.  You'll be told to call your local carrier to complain, unless you're law enforcement.  Stay on the line and they'll direct you to a live body.  I left a voice mail.  Awaiting call back.

972-769-5177 is carried by Level 3 Communications - a large Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC).  They have a fraud abuse line at 1-877-2Level3 (877-253-8355) where you can tell them that one of their customers is violating their Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).  They get enough calls, they may do something about it.  They called me last night (Vote_TX) at 10;38 pm.

Called at 10:00pm then again at fn midnight checks back to a Plano tx prefix thinking about launching a formal complaint with Plano pd enough of us call them maybe they will do something

Phone call came at 10:45pm on 1-20-14 about 5 minutes after putting my child to sleep, which took over an hour to do.  I was livid about this phone call. I called the number back and it just rang and rang.

Received this call at 10:43 pm. ID says Vote for Texas. Automated call. Very annoyed at the call and at the hour in which the call happened.

Got this call twice now...Does anyone know who is calling??

I'm also getting numerous calls from this company, and they don't give me an opportunity to have my number removed from their list (which is a legal requirement even of charities and political organizations).  Ask to be removed if you ever get a real person on the line.

they have called 3 times/day for the last 3 days. We don't answer. Incredibly annoying!

Caller ID says VOTE_TEXAS. Calls at 1:29 PM, 11:57 AM, today and 8:30 PM last night. No messages left. I am assuming this is either a political call or a scam call (or both)...

Anyone who calls me about voting for them, I'm not going to.  I will be voting for their opponent.  Now maybe they will stop calling.

They asked if you are likely to vote in the 2014 election from a scale of 0-9 with 9 being HELL YEAH!

Once you answer they ask if you're voting for Greg Abbott or Wendy Davis then they ask your age range and sex. It's enough to put with your phone records for correlation and determine WHO they asked that information of.

I do not want the multi-daily calls from this number which represents Vote_Texas on caller ID.  There is not an option to stop receiving these calls.  If you have the ability to stop these calls, please do so as soon as possible.

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON?T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It?s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional. ANOTHER SMART PERSON ON THIS WEB SITE SAID TO SAVE EACH NUMBER TO YOUR CONTACTS AS SPAM 1, SPAM 2, ETC SO THAT YOU CAN JUST IGNORE THE CALL.

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

Called 5-22-2012 @ 14:59, political calls this year are horribly annoying.

Male called  about 9:45 pm and was told not to call because of time and he stated that he could call up to 10pm.  He then called again 5 minutes later saying he was with  political polling , then again at 10 pm, not leaving a message.
