This number calls without showing a caller ID, but it leaves a message from someone claiming her name is Wendy North,and that she is calling for  an outfit named Center for Legal Justice. She says  a few things that sound good, if you are not too well-informed.

Basically, this is a shop that recruits customers for a bunch of lawyers. They have a telemarketing license, they are making cold calls, though the smarmy message claimed I had asked for information -- I had NOT -- and therefore, they are in violation of the 'Do Not Call' list, for which we are registered. They called Wednesday afternoon, left their pitch, and then called again today, at 8:48 AM!!!! (I was sleeping, with the phone ringer turned off :) )  The second time the message stated they had sent me an email. Now how the heck did they get my email address?  I have to check the spam filter...have not seen anything in the inbox.

Now, one might conclude, when we did not call back the first time, that we are not interested? If they pester us again I am going to call back and complain. I see a few articles on them on the internet. Not a good idea to get involved with this outfit. If you need a lawyer, find a reputable local one. Unsecured debt does not get "dismissed."  Class action suits exist to make lawyers rich.  Beware of sweet-talking "Wendy North" from Texas, or Florida, or wherever the heck she is really calling from.
