i have had two different calls by the same people. looking for one of my family member's . i asked what the office address was and the response was LISTEN MAM I DON'T HAVE TIME TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS THIS IS A LAW FIRM. so i pressed more and asked what the name of the firm was and what state(trying to keep my cool) still just a last name maggio and then he had to hang up. that was about two months ago, now today i got a message saying if i don't get back with this frank maggio by the end of the day he will have to take drastic measures?????? well i called back, same old shady crap, now it's called simply the law center he say's. now come on these people gotta go. how do we get rid of them ?

please let us know if u find out anything we can do. i have received two messages from this frank maggio in the last 6 months. looking for my son, who had a loan and my name as a co signer. ( no way would i do that,and my son didn't even live were they say it was at. i'm in michigan i don't know were anyone else is but i sure am getting sick of this CRAP.........

I called the number back and told the representative that someone called from that number and left an ugly message but did not say who they are looking for.  She looked up the name they were trying to reach which is a person who is not associated with my telephone number.  I asked her what company she represented and she kept mumbling a name but when I pressed her to clearly tell me what company she represented she said "The Law Center".  I asked if that is the official name of the company and she she told me "don' worry about it because this case is not your case and I have removed your telephone number from the file".  She then hung up the phone.

These people are calling both my parents home and my sisters home... they are stating that I am being sued... well LAW101 a creditor must sue you in the County and State of Residence...

I have been confronted like this in the past and gave them my address and told them to bring it come serve me. Never heard from them again and when I figure out who this POS is I will then inform everyone so we can file suit against them for harassment and violation of FDCPA Rules and Regulations!

I want to know how I can take legal actions against Frank Maggio (?) at 972-957-7217.  His message"This is Frank Maggio.  You need to call my office today regarding your case.  My phone number is 972-957-7217.  If I don't hear back from you by the end of the day, you may leave me with no other options."  He didn't leave any names, but just the tone of his voice and demanding, I don't need to hear his s***.  I don't have any pending lawsuits, nor do I have any debts that are overdue.  I pay my bills on time.  He's picking on the wrong person, now I want to take legal actions on all these debt collectors.  I'm saving his message in case I  find an Attorney.

Obviously bogus. The only information it provided was a phone #. If they are cowardly hiding from you, that means they're afraid of you. So, f!@# them.

i got the same voice mail and i had to the end of the day to call back or i left him no other opinion..he didnt say who the message is for or who was calling ..i take it others had this same problem...i believe its called harresment or threatening call. BUT WHAT TO DO?

These people have been harrassing my mother-n-law for the last couple of months! Saying they were delivering papers...I don't even live with her nor have I evern given anybody her phone or address! Wish I knew who to call to have them arrested!

This is a rip off.
They just called me for my husband.
I advised the woman that said she was going to serve him papers that someone called me about 6 months ago and did the same thing. Very evasive on who they are.
The last time these people called they were trying to get me to make a credit card payment for some so called debt that was several thousand dollars but couldnt really tell me what and they would take several hundred dollars via credit card to make it go away. They threatened me with serving the papers.
I told this current lady that this happened to me about 6 months ago and I called the courts to see if someone was serving papers on me.
The courthouse advised no thuis would be on file at the courthouse and that if this person were truely going to serve papers on me that they dont announce they are coming they just show up.
So these are fly by the night companies trying to get you to make a quick payment to them. DON'T DO IT.

This people called and states I will be served papers :p  they did not state the name of company.

Anyone know who these people are?? They called my cell phone saying they are from the legal dept and that I needed to call them or else with a file number then called again 2 minutes later. leaving a nessage.for my dad with the exact same message and file number for my dad..... why do I get the feeling that this is a scam???

Had a recorded message that stated this was an "official notification" from the services agency and that I had to call the law offices at this number or they would have no other options. Did not state my name, did not state her name, the name of her agency, or the purpose of the call. She sounded urgent and official-sounding, but was intentionally generic. Might dupe the more gullible into falling for a scam.
