WHAT GOOD DOES IT DO TO REGISTER WITH THE DO NOT CALL LIST IF YOU
STILL GET TELEMARKERERS. I THINK I'VE GOTTEN MORE UNWANTED CALLS
SINCE I REGISTERED ON THE DNC LIST!!

Hang up, calls as many as 6 times a day. Also calling as late a 9pm and there is never anyone on the line.

idiots call call call.  never pick up, but they call anyway.  do not call list???  why bother???

We have been getting calls from this number for weeks now. Always around 6am. Getting real tired about these calls.

Stop calling me I get too many stupid telemarketing calls and I am on the do not call list.

They called here a few times in the last few days. Never leave a message when the machine picks up. I also am on the do-not-call list so why am I getting these calls??

Just got a call from this number 900pm, I  answered the phone and did not say anything a real voice came on and said my name and that they were collecting money for breat awareness. I told them I was not interested and they hung up real fast. I have had several calls from these 973 area code numbers and trying to block them.

Just an update.  The company responsible for this phone number is Cooperative Communications.  Their number is 800-833-2700.  One of their customers uses their lines to do telemarketing.

How do we stop this? This #  has been calling 2-3 times a day for 2-3 weeks. It comes up as Whippany, NJ but nobody ever answers. I call back and it says mailbox is full. Any idea how to stop this crap?

They keep calling and asking if they're speaking to (my name) but refuse to identify themselves.  When I insist they tell me who is calling, they say it's a "courtesy call" and that they'll call back later, then disconnect the call.  Any halfway decent telemarketing company at least has their employees identify themselves and the company they represent.

Caller ID says "Call."  Ever hopeful this will be a legitimate call, I picked up.... a few seconds go by.  

Then "Jeff" a real human speaks, saying he is calling for disabled American veterans - I cut him off at this point.     Very annoying -- because I do realize that by answering it confirms my number is valid and will be picked up during the time of day he called.  In the last week calls are coming in during this time about every 1/2 hour from "lower your credit" "lower your electric bill,"  etc etc etc!!

There isn't a person on the other end. It's a machine calling and listening to see if anyone picks up. If you do then it registers the number as valid.

Same thing happens to me. There are two numbers that are calling from same company. Just had both of them again this morning, two in 20 mins. Twice yesterday also. I am on the "do not call list" not that that seems to make any difference

Do like I just did and report the ignorant j*** off to the FCC. They have a very easy online form to fill out to get people like this off the phone.  I am so tired of this number calling and asking for my deceased mother.  Then they call back and just hang up.  I have received calls as late as 8:58pm.  The more people that report the number to the FCC, the quicker the FCC will deal with it.

This number calls every day, numerous times a day.  You say hello, they listen for a minute then hang up.  This is the most annoying telemarketer I have ever encountered

This does indeed appear to be a new number to spam calls from. I have never answered it from this number though. This is one of a handful of numbers that call my house daily and its getting ridiculous. I had a home phone growing up and we never got this amount of calls from telemarketers.

Received call from this number.  They hung up when I answered.  The listing just says "CALL"

i just got a call from this # - didn't recognize it, so didn't answer...it looks like it may be a new # since there's only the previous post here, from just 3 days ago

has called my house several times, I am on the "do--not-call" list
