This is another credit card co keeps calling ...Number shows up but when hitting 1 to speak to rep keeps ringing..We have no debt or collection.  Not sure why we are getting calls each week?

The person I talked to said that he was the supervisor/owner of a GE company selling alarm systems. He would not continue to talk to me when I asked him further questions. He gave the contact number for the company as 1-800-664-0755.

Called at 9 AM this morning. CID showed as MEMBER REWARDS. They call about once a month here. Again blocked after the first ring by NOMOROBO.

The state and fed govt gives a hoot?  You believe that., the POST OFFICECcant even deliver the mail and think about all the other givt screw ups lately,  they cant help even if they did care!
Need new phone system that illiminates this crap .... possible they should hire that 11 year old kid that wrote the algerythm to detect and illiminate cancer cells.

Unknown Name calls and leaves no message.  I don't pick up. Called  10-23-13,

Recorded message wanting to install a home security system.  I didn't listen to the whole message.

I just got a call from this number and the caller ID said "Customer Reward'.   I guess this was to get you to answer the phone so they could sell you an alarm system.  They never give up!

This type of call was automatically blocked by my Panasonic telephone.

I did something similar - I pretended to be a voicemail greeting as "Mary" at fraud investigations.  They hung up immediately and never EVER called back!

HUNG UP AFTER RECORDER CAME ON.

Had 2 calls from that number today. One I didn't answer and second one I hung up after recording said the FBI.

You are under the incorrect assumption that the "telephone system" In the USA is a government entity.  It is not.  It is hardly even regulated at all any more.  It is a complex network created by many corporations who use the network.  The Do Not Call Registry is a program of the FTC which has no jurisdiction outside of the USA.  Most spam and phishing calls originate outside of the USA.  It is pretty much left to us consumers to deal with the unwanted calls we get.  Yes, report them but don't expect much in the way of results.  If you don't recognize a number, don't answer.  That's the best advice you'll get.

I suggest everyone contact their Senators, Congressmen and women, as well as the White House and the NSA (good luck with that one, I tried and got nowhere). Tell them ALL that if they really want to stop the bad rap the NSA is getting here in the US and around the world, put the NSA to work fixing our corrupted national phone system. Let them all know (as if they don't already), that the FCC and the so called 'DO NOT CALL' list aren't doing the job! The NSA would better serve us all by going after all these ridiculous phone scammers, phones telemarketers, and 'Medical Devise' lures that are being dangled across our phone lines day after day. This BS has to stop, the phone system in this country has become a sorry example of government incompetence.

I got a call from this number at 3:12 (mountain daylight time) this afternoon. The caller ID displayed random letters and numbers in place of the caller's name and when I picked up, but did not speak, a recording began playing about how the FBI reports break ins and these guys wanted permission to put a sign in our yard and how we would not get charged for the installation of a security system, which I know is pure garbage.  This is nothing, but junk.  Just ignore this call.  It is most likely a scam.

I received a call from 973-273-7826 at 10:37 this morning, then again at 12:12 this afternoon.  They leave no message but keep calling.  I want it to stop.  I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST BUT THEY DISREGARD THAT.. Google says it is from a credit card company wanting to lower my rates.

I received a call from this number today at 2:36 PM and there was no message left.  The caller ID displayed V01716364300006 as the caller's name.

I am on the do not call list.  This is an unwanted call.
