Don't know what they wanted or who they are with.

Get calls from this number and similar 973-273-xxxx numbers.  I'm continually blocking this aggressive telemarketer.

Received a recorded message about reducing your utility bills. Hung up immediately

I found out that the person to talk to is David Finch at 307-316-8572.

I called them and they can no longer take do not call requests for this number because it's being spoofed and is out of their control.

I talked to them too. They said when a number is spoofed it's being used by an illicit company doing illegal calling that wants to be untraceable. They have no way of finding out who is using the number, but they put "TELEMARKETER" in the caller ID display in the hopes that will help encourage the fraudsters to stop using it.

Calls 3 to 4 times a day.  Never anyone on line.  We are also on do not call.  does not help.

We contacted these people about this. It turns out the number is being spoofed and they have no control over its use.

Got 2 calls from this number in the last few days.  

Not giving them anything.  As a NJ taxpayer, Newark is enough of a drain on my pocketbook.  :(

i just had a legitimate call from one of my friends ... we spoke about the aggravating phone calls and she applauded my efforts to bring these unsolicited callers to the attention of the fcc.  people like her help to provide me the motivation to DO SOMETHING.  i am a person who wants to make a difference ... so many people don't care to.  i encourage others who wish to join the movement to report ignorant unsolicited callers to do so.  please help yourself, me and the others who could use your efforts.  we all matter when we care for others.  don't let the ignorant callers interrupt our lives.  there are fines available for all of the ignorant illegal callers the fcc can successfully investigate with OUR help.

they will only investigate if they receive enough complaints ... many people are apathetic and do not complain - that is easiest because it requires no effort at all.  i was once of those who chose to ignore them ...  giving up is exactly what they want people to do.  this way they can continue to call other people.  if, at least to placate your thoughts, you have tried please let the fcc know about these ignorant callers.  they make all of our lives more difficult.  i have lodged over 50 complaints on unsolicited callers in the past three months.  i do this not only for myself but for others who are sick and tired of these idiots using our phone as their personal mouthpiece.  i have received confirmations from the fcc that they look into complaints.  do they?  who knows?  but if a person takes no action they sure won't do anything.

I tried that number and it had nothing to do with the calls I've received. Not sure where you got your info, but it's false. I did find out that I could call 307-223-0458 and get placed on the do not call list for all of EngageTel's customers. EngageTel, it turns out, does not make phone calls, they just wholesale telephone numbers to other companies.

This message has been coming to me with varying phone numbers. It's driving me nuts!

Further research.  Engagetel is registered in Wyoming by Gerald Pitts who specializes in setting up corporations that sheild the real owners.  The Owner of Engagetel is Dennis Carlson, P.O. Box 5635, Novato, CA (415)-472-5008.   File an FCC complaint and pursue a claim to stop it

The company that owns this line if EngageTel out of Cheyenne, WY direct line 307-223-0458.   They operate all over the country and move to a new number if you block it.  File a complaint with the FCC and NJ state, police incidence report.  Next is Small Claims Court $500/call.

received several calls from this number and also 7862 from the same company.  Pressing "1" to be removed from the list is nonsense.  We need to find the address for this number and visit the company to complain in person.

This Company calls every few minutes.  Never leaves a message.  I want to block calls from whatever phony number they are using at the moment.  All our phones are on the "Do not call" registry!

Scam. Says Fed Assist. Do not answer it. Block it. Whatever you have to do. If people stop answering these calls, eventually it won't pay for them to make them.

what is the sense of reporting the call to the fcc which has a "file a complaint" if you are on the do not call list? No sense bec. they do not investigate.

if you call the number there is a recording that says they will remove your name from list, but all they do is change the last 2 digits and call again.

This buzzard got to home phone because its name and # wasn't yet blocked by my Call Blocker... well, now it is and it will never get through again.  It didnt leave a message so I'm calling it a harrassment caller.

Today you need a firewall on your phone just as you do on your computer.  And, you have to take charge of your own privacy cuz the phone company and the gov't isn't about to do anything to stop telemarketers from calling you up day and night... the phone company makes money off of telemarketers and you so dont ever assume they're going to cut revenues in half.

This is a Capitalistic country and telemarketing is just like TV commercials... both are designed to bombard us with crap we can't live without.  However, a telemarketer is a low life liar thief stooge which cant get a real job... they make money the old fashioned way... they steal it.
