To Whom It May Concern:

I also would like to know what law applies to:
1. Debts that are four or more years old
2. Debts that are written off by a company (is the debt really "killed", and if it is, and a company sells the debt to an unscrupulous debt collect, is the company committing by selling worthless "merchandise"?).
3. Someone told me that is is a basic part of contract law that if the "original creditor" sells a debt, that the buyer can only sue the debtor for what they paid + 10%. Is this true? I notice that you post a PA address. Does that mean that if these laws are valid, they are only valid in PA, or are they valid in other states as well?

Someone is calling me MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, EVERY DAY!!! All that is ever displayed on the caller ID is 19002. I wonder if it could be Pressler & Pressler or Credit One who is calling and "spoofing" their caller ID display. I blocked 19002, and my phone system allows me to see blocked calls. and this "19002" still appears several times a day (at least I never hear the phone ring). If anyone can verify my suspicions, please do so.

Credit One Bank they have tons of numbers they call you from. They call me every day Monday thru Sunday all day until about 11:00 pm.. THEY ARE RELENTLESS!!

Credit One Bank - using 973-349-3905, 973-349-3931, 973-349-3935 - they have over 1000 phone numbers to get you to answer..  Some local from your area, some out of state - magic jack!  I have lost my job - called them to let them know i would be paying my account as soon as i had the money - they call me 40-50 times a day - no joke - seriously!

I keep getting phone calls from this number and they do not say a word!!!! You try to call back to see who it is, and the line rings busy.  I wouldn't be surprised if it was Pressler and Pressler!!!! (always trying to disguise their numbers.) I WANT THE CALLING TO STOP OR IT'LL BE REPORTED!!!

calls me everyday sometimes twice. I have written them and told them on the phone NOT to call my home anymore. They claim it is a credit card debt. Dont have a credit card never had a credit card. Use prepaid card.

I went to FTC.gov and filled out the form online to report harrassment.

I HAVE A PROGRAM CALLED SKYPE ON MY LAPTOP, SO I CAN KEEP IN TOUCH WITH MY FAMILY AT HOME, AND I HAVE A REGULAR PHONE NUMBER THAT I PAID FOR. HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET MY NUMBER, WHICH IS A INTERNET NUMBER.. EVEN WHEN IM IN IRAQ!! THEY SOME HOW STILL MANAGE TO CALL!!!!

They called I answered, got no respones. Called several times afterwards and got a busy signal each time

This law firm called Pressler & Pressler break the law repeatedly to collect money from you and no one does anything about it. From day one they break the law by telling you that you can be arrested for not paying a debt. When I got the letter stating this I ignored it because even when I didn't understand my rights I knew I could not be arrested for it. For a debt I never had? Who ever heard of such a thing. I thought they were complete frauds. Come to find out they are frauds but they operate in the open. It's a legal scam and they prey on people hoping that you DO NOT KNOWING YOUR RIGHTS. They take you to court saying that you owe them money and you HAVE TO GO and ask for them to validate the debt. 9 out ten times they can't. But you have to waste your time proving this. THIS IS SO OBSCENE on every level. They don't even care if they got the right person, they just want the money. But I've learned how to beat them.
