Received call didn't answer called back number is disconnected. Telemarketing scam company. Contact your local fbi location, and local law enforcement. don't give any personal information over the phone. They use fake caller id systems, and auto dialer.

rec'd a call from this number today on my cell phone. i now see that after i googled the name and number that i am not the only one getting these calls. we get them at our work also, which is extremely disruptive during the work day and ties up our phone lines. no msg was left.

I received a call from 973 366 6557 several times daily. Verizon is not helping
They are trying to sell me auto warranty and they will not stop.
Trish 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
The best defense when receiving a call from this number is by simply not picking it up. If you answer once, and do as they ask and press "2" to be removed from the list, all this does is let them know that they have reached a number of a person willing to answer their calls. So far, they have not left an automated message in my VM...maybe it is because I do not have a "greeting" on my VM box? Or perhaps my service provider (AT&T) doesn't allow automated phone messages to be left on their VM system? Not sure. Maybe this "telemarketing" auto warranty scam just hasn't figured out how to do that yet...

Just like you I am irritated because I got some random call on my cell from this # too. I never answer if I don't know who it is. Thank GOD for the genius who invented caller ID. With that said... I googled the # finding this rant page. I guess I'm not the only one who's curious to know who's calling. Thanks for the info people. I won't be calling the # back. It would just be a waste of my time.

They have covered their tracks well.
Only the FCC can geet the action from the communication providers allowing their illegal use of the lines to place the calls.

I recieved a call few minutes ago and it says it was from NJ. I absolutely hate annoying calls like this. I wish I knew the procedure to put these people in legal trouble, because they cant do this.

This company is called Auto One Warranty. They are in Irvine, California. 300 Commerce Drive, Irvine 92602
Hope this helps.
Jason 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
Me too....can't the FTC take care of this?
B 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
Same piece of crap as from a couple months ago. Where do these people get this kind of idea? Nigeria? Can't we get the FBI or somebody to find these people? I know it's technically possible to find their physical address, because a friend of mine in the computer industry has done it. Aren't they afraid someone will hunt them down and do them harm? What a huge waste of time and anger.

I've been getting these calls regularly. At first I tried pressing 2, but that seems not to have stopped the calls. Out of curiosity I once pressed 1 and spoke with a person. I asked which car they were talking about. They said the car that's no longer under warranty. I said that if they were legitimately calling about my car, surely they'd know more about it, like the make or year. They hung up. Today I spoke with a person again. I again asked which car they were talking about. The guy said the one from 2007 or older -- not many cars wouldn't fit... I said I had 3 cars, and they were all older than 2007. He hemmed and hawed, I heard some background noise, and then he hung up. This is all rather annoying!

I wrote to my senator and congressman about this number that tried to reach me this morning. I'm seeing if the fed is doing anything on this. We people have enough from these criminals.
Williams 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
Dont know who these people are or how they got my number
Rick 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
I'll join the ranting hoards. They called my iPhone yesterday. I didn't answer. For whatever reason the iPhone says the call is from Dover, NJ, not that this is helpful.

crack heads.
Elizabeth 2011-06-06 21:08:30 Unknown
I also received these annoying calls on my cell phone. An internet search engine says this telephone number is listed to Roger Mesa, 50 Park Heights Ave, Dover, New Jersey 07801
Megan 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
These people call my cell phine several times a day telling me that my warranty is about to expire. When I press number 2 to be removed from the list, as the recording asks, I still continue to receive calls. After many calls and pressing 2 many times, I decided to press 1 and talk to a represenative who refused to tell me where they obtained my cell phone number and refused to let me speak to a manager. I asked the company's name which he told me was Warranty Division Inc. When I asked for his name I was hung up on. If anyone knows how to get ahold of this company I would love to know.
Rick 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
Ashlee, I love your idea ! Then put them on the rack and treat them to 1000 small cuts as they are stretched... Then add salt ! I get the same thing all of you have and as of now, there is nothing we can do. Tomorrow I will file a complaint with Nextel. Who knows, maybe they can get something started ?
mane 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
I just got off the phone with them and played their game. they eventually claim to work for a known company called warranty direct which is a real company.
this is the truth: BE CAREFUL! the company calling is being investigated for fraud as they want to collect payments via phone but you will never get anything in return.
the number displayed is fake because it belonged to a company called rigan inc which is out of business apparently.
ashlee 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
I received a call at work on my cel, needless to say I can get in trouble for calls. When I call back, I find it's not a working number. This company should be sued for using all of our minutes and time. They should be strung up by bamboo under their fingernails and sprinkled with sugar over an ant hill.
David 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
Calls all the time. Automated message. Very annoying and I did not think this was legal.
Brian 2011-06-06 21:08:29 Unknown
Yep, I got one today too..... came up on Caller ID (I screen calls), i called it back, and it's a non-working number.... I've been contacted numerous times by a 'warranty' company.... when the car I drive is a company car and not even under my name, so it's almost guaranteed to be a scam. One of the companies "Auto One" is also doing this, run by David Tabb, he himself was arrested and convicted of previous charges of forgery and tax evasion for his company "Hollywood Dreams" in operation Bullpen run by the FBI a few years ago... tho he now claims he's running a 'straight business'.... this cited in an article I read from a Seattle paper.
