It reads: This is not a chain text. Call 973-409-3274 and press #
It is a vote to legalize weed. Obama said that he would pass the law if he receives a million calls ...... No joke.
< A co-worker sent it to me too and begged me to call this number and to forward the text to everyone that I knew so that Obama would legalize weed. Sheesh.. like I have the time to worry about legalizing weed when I dont even smoke it! LOL . Anyway, thats what that text is all about.
blah blah blah...............

On Why I Would Never Call 973-409-3274 to Legalize Cannabis and What Number I Would Call Instead
Today I got a text message from an awesome activist which said:
"Vote On marijuana. On CNN today, Obama will consider with 1 million votes. call 973-409-3274 listen & press# Pass it On!"
I've seen this message (or variations of it) on facebook before and I have never called it and NEVER will. Why? Because it's an non-scientific poll that promises more than it could ever deliver.
First of all, this wasn't on CNN today or any day that I can find. So that's misleading. Second of all, the number is powered by Humor Hotlines which usually does prank call hotlines. How serious do you think anyone's going to take a poll that comes from a prank call hotline?
Third of all, there's no way calling 973-409-3274 is going to legalize cannabis. Lastly of all, Obama can't create or change laws. He can only sign (or veto) laws which Congress passes.
The only phone # any American can call to legalize Cannabis in the USA is their legislators' #, legislators on all levels of government ~~ City, County, State, and Federal ~~ Plain and simple.

Do NOT call this #! Do NOT tell your friend to call this #! It's a deceptive marketing gimmick to get you to have all your friends call it, in hopes that many of you would subscribe to their Ringtone Club for $9.99/month.
INSTEAD CALL CONGRESS:
Call to legalize medical cannabis in USA. Congress will consider Bill HR 2835 if you call your House of Representative and ask them to support the Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act. Call 202-224-3121. Ask for your House of Representative's office. Pass it on!

Who cares if he looked at her phone. Maybe he was looking for someone's number. Maybe she asked him to look up a text message or something. My husband and I are always playing with each others blackberries. Nothing to hide, so no worries. Maybe she had a new application he was playing with and accidentally hit the call long button. WHO CARES!

Well, sam, we know why you get cheated on... Who wants to stay with a man that hates women and can't be bothered to improve himself?
| FutureK 2009-10-16 04:57:56 Unknown |
Actually, you DO***E BAG, A***IPE, WINDOW-LICKING, MORON he said his "lady's" phone- he didn't say anything about marriage. Maybe you should read the comment before you open your fat f****ng piehole. What, did someone forget to blow in your ear to pump up your IQ before you made that post?

"Why do people not just THINK...??? Why do we take what the media/internet/texts/friends/religion tell us at face value and not make decisions based on reality that can be confirmed."
Well, if it doesn't help, it's certainly not going to hurt to be one more voice calling for sensible drug policy.
| FutureK 2009-10-16 04:48:14 Unknown |
Actually, it's the DEA and FDA that have the power to classify controlled substances. Both agencies belong to the EXECUTIVE branch of government. And who head the executive branch? Oh, that's right, the President. And who's President right now? Obama. Therefore, OBAMA DOES have the power to make marijuana legal.

"Trust know one . And look through anything you want . She is your wife .You most likly pay for the bill . Find out who is talking to your mate."
Can you say MISOGYNY? It's 2009, sweetheart, and most of us pay our OWN bills.
FURTHERMORE, snooping can ruin careers- even when the victim is doing nothing wrong.
As a paralegal, I helped represent a woman who was dishonorably discharged from the military because her husband snooped through her e-mail without a security clearance. Now HE doesn't have a phone, because SHE paid for it.

"I used to snoop in my wife's purse, phone, laptop and everything she never caught me.. and sure enough she was having an affair, but who cares I had dozens before she did... so ha ha ha..
We no longer live together."
So, in other words, you're a do***e bag, and you were snooping because you had a guilty conscience about treating your wife like crap, and you wanted to make yourself feel better by "justifying" it with something she did wrong. If she hadn't had an affair, you would've looked for another reason that you weren't the "bad guy" in the marriage. But you still were.

If you have some REASONABLE evidence your significant other might be lying to you, it makes sense to TALK with them and ask them to assuage your fears. But if you're sneaking around digging through their phone, e-mail, diary, etc., without their permission, that relationship is already doomed. No one wants to stay with someone who treats them like a liar, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. This is something I've learned as the daughter of two people who've stayed faithful to each other for over 30 years, while all of their friends are on marriages 2, 3, 4...

plus it might help the side effects of global warming and pollution!! think of the millions of people that will have pot growing. thats pure oxygen for the planet as well as thc for me!!!

This isn't just about people that consume pot...it's also about those that feel that it could help the economy...There are people out there that do not smoke pot that support this.

so if i were to work out or get a job or go back to school that would boost my self confidence and i wouldn't get cheated on? awesome who knew it could be so simple... i always thought it was a matter of finding the right girl not losing pant sizes, man was i wrong! i also really appreciate the generalized statments about men in general "men have the instincts to spread their sperm to whatever breaths" that is such a valid and accurate statment... i mean, on a daily basis i find myself f****ng goats, pigs and 12-year-old girls and i never could understand why... turns out it's instinct... hey just out of curiosity where did you get your facts about men cheating more then women... i want to cite the source for a paper i have in a class i just enrolled in online while i was filling out job aps and doing pushups!!!
