888 218 9570 calls and says to call to verfy their number  duh! caller ID shows no number definatly a prank call

I get the same call, about an 800 business number for someone I've never heard of. This has been going on for nearly a year!  I have talked to them a dozen times and said to STOP calling, they always promise too, and the calls start up again a few days later.  They gave me a customer service number to call that doesn't work.

I cannot figure out what their deal is - they don't push to collect money, they don't ask for personal information...nothing.  There must be some scam to this, but I don't know what it is.

MCI Collection calls

This number calls all the time. I called back, they want to know my phone number and account #. They show nothing, so they refer me to 800-555-8188, supposedly Customer Service.  They also want info. on me, but have nothing to tell me.  This is harassment and it has to be illegal.  I will be reporting this to some agency when I find out the best plan of action. Of course, everyone you speak to has very thick accents, but when asked, oh yes, they are in the U.S.  What a nuisance.

I'm a qwest customer, have been for 3 1/2 years, never had an MCI account in my life. They keep calling, I live on a military instalation and every # like mine is for this base. They told me that someone else has my same phone number and they want my name ect. They say they wont give out any account info or anything and that my number is an MCI # not qwest #. Either this is a fake call or MCI is about to get a fat lawsuit.

this number 973-437-2105 has called again. this time it was 8:00 in the morning on my day off. They call all hours of the day.  I know I am registered on the DNC liste.  Just updated my number earlier this year.

This number calls same time everyday!

Calls from this number come daily, no voice or response on the other end and leaving no message.  This is a business whose MCI service was cancelled nearly two years ago.  This has become harrassment!

mci is whacked out they have been doing this for the last 2 months daily... i have a cell phone so i'm just gunna drop off the land line and save tons of money in the mean time... thanks mci for making it soo clear and easy to give up my land line and save 60 bucks a month!

Oohh!!!  I get this call constantly for the last 2 years...I have sent a cease and desist letter.  Called all kinds of different departments.  It never ends!  I have spoken to the gentleman that owns the account and he too is of no help.  I would love to figure out how to end this!!

Our office keeps getting calls & no one is on the line - after a long pause it says "thank you for using Verizon" and hangs up.

I've been getting calls from this number as well. Only the number shows up on caller ID, no name. Never leave a message. I was home today so I was able to answer the call. Silence. I waited 30 seconds and nothing happened. First post said this was a call from MCI...that is my long distance carrier.

I receive calls from this number. If I don't answer, they don't leave a message. If I answer they want information which I don't give. When I ask why they are calling they won't give information. I have requested that they remove my number from their calling list but they continue to call. I filled a complaint with www.donotcall.gov/  Other comments suggest it is MCI doing this. I have had problems with MCI and this is the last straw. I cancelled my MCI phone service after being their customer for 20 years. Anyone considering MCI be forwarned.

I am so annoyed with MCI.  These calls have gone on here since I've gotten this number 3 years ago.  The guys who used to have this number still has his account at another number and I've tried all I can to get my number off the account.  E-mails, Cease & Desist letter, called the FCC(they can't help with this issue), Spoken to several different departments and supervisors at MCI.  I've even called the old owner of the number because MCI stupidly gives me the number.  He makes a joke out of it.  I get the calls several times a day for a week or 2 just about every month.  Its almost become a joke in our house that when the phone rings it is MCI!

Had two automated message calls from 1-973-437-2105 this weekend telling me my Verizon account was placed on "restriction" and that I should call 1-877-463-7620 during the week.  I called back the 973 number and they claimed to be MCI, but I doubted it.  Didn't call the 877 number, but called Verizon's Unlawful Call number and reported the situation.  If I get another call from this number again I will look up the FCC number to call.  Any ideas about blocking this number?

They call a few times a month, we never answer. Perhaps they are lonely?

They have called me many times - at least five just in the last few days.

supposedly I placed two calls to 973-437-2105 on October 4 at 9:58 am and another at 10:09  am. The first call lasted 1 minute and the second call lasted 17 minutes. I called MCI and they credited my account for these two calls. I didnt call the number to see who they were because I didn't want another charge on my phone bill.

Multiple calls - No message

Verizon Business calling about a past due balance on an 800 number I never had or ordered, at an address I have not lived at for over 6 years, saying I have a past due balance of $200+.  

IF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THIS NUMBER PLEASE POST HERE AND CHECK BACK PERIODICALLY.  THIS APPEARS TO BE HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE, I AM AN ATTORNEY AND THIS HAS POTENTIAL FOR CLASS ACTION STATUS.

Receiving calls day and night from 973 437-2105

As so many posts, we are receiving these calls.  We have MCI, caller ID shows 973-427-2105, gets several calls a day no message, just annoying.  From the posts I haven seen a solution for this.  Will check back.
