Same for me as with DeadEye - except mine is a GMC.  You tell them "NO" and not to call again, but they continue to call.  When I see the 973 area code pop up on caller ID, I just hit "ignore".

Same as CHUCKIE - no talk/answer on line - guessing it is an overloaded solicitor staff being fed calls by an auto-dialer/call-distributor

From the moment I listened to the first sentence, this sounded like a scam or high pressure sale at the least.  They implied that they represented Chevy Dealer Services and repeated a lot of information about me and my vehicle. This appeared to be part of the pitch to gain your confidence; like we have done business before or that they are an authorized Chevy organization. They knew my name and address, the make, year, model of my vehicle. Sounded good but I smelled a rat when the voice described my car as an Avalon instead of Avalanche (I guess they try to pose as a Toyota organization also).

The female voice said she was going to have her sales manager "punch in a code" on the computer so that I could get a $250 discount for being a loyal customer (another implication that they represented Chevy).  So now she passes me on to the "Manager", "Bob" to close the sale...

My car is 4 years old and has 141,000 miles on it! Yet they offered me a 36,000 mile extension on my car for $2,850. That's with the $250 discount, pluys he "gave" me $100 discount plus $300 senior citizen discount because I'm over 50. I am 54. I think this is the only part that pissed me off. LOL.

Then "Bob" tried the oldest high pressure sales trick in the book; the "either/or close". He inquired "Do you want to pay this now with a credit card, or in installments?"

I said I have two questions, "Does it include the transmission? YES!! he said. "OK, Great, can you send me a written warranty contract?" NO. We don't use contracts.

I replied, "Well then I'm not doing it" and hung up.

973 559 9985 (Dealer Services?)
These folks represent themselves as the holder of your soon to expire car warrantee. They give you one last chance to extend using their service. All that they require is your credit card number and a few thousand dollars. They will not allow you to call back and do not give you the opportunity to verify their false claim that they hold your current warrantee. Upon calling my dealer I discovered that Dealer Services was not and never had been the holder of my warrantee, I also discovered that the price they quoted was at least twice what a warrantee would be priced at if purchased from the dealer. The dealer also advised that Dealer Service policies have only marginal coverage. I have notified American Honda of the fact that Dealer Services (?) claims to be the sole representative of all Honda Extended Warrantees. As a side note I could hear other callers in the background saying that they represented other manufacturers.
I intend to file a complaint with the State Attorney General and the FTC. This type of predatory marketing is at least unethical and possibly illegal.
