I recieved a phone call from this number regarding a payday loan that I never had put on my account at my job, cell and home. How they got my information its besides me.The inidvidual Gene Wells called me on 1/29/2013. I spoke to her and she was pressuring me to give her my bank informaton. As of today this number 1-888-357-9195 and 973-559-6161 continues to call me consistently I will be reporting this to the FEDS. I believe this is a scam. I have been threaten by them telling me they will send authorities to my home. I have told them I will wait for them and they get angry and start threatening me. As of today I will not pick up phone calls.

Has called me from three different numbers... all silence every time I answer.  This time he finally did he got some attitude as I said STOP CALLING.

We dont have Vonage.  Never have.  And we dont have a credit card.
So for us, that cant be why they're calling our house.

i finally picked up the phone after this number called 8 times in a row,no one answered back and just frustrates me that they call and don't say a word. what the hell. Anyway,after i picked up they hung up. have not got a call from them since.

I get a call from this number at least once a day. No one will leave a message and if I answer the call no one will say anything. I called the number back and a woman with a foreign accent answered, told me I had dialed an 800 number to Vonage, but couldn't give me any info on 973-559-9989.

The continue to call my house phone, even though I told them, I do not want their service. Now they call, and hang up.

It is possible, with even the simplest of electronic telephone systems, to spoof a number, in the caller ID. I've done it myself from work, with help from I/T - to list myself as various things to call friends.

What is disturbing to me is that the person asked for me by name, coming from this number, and I've only had this number for 5 weeks - and I use it only to speak to 3 people.

I got a call from this number mentioning about "Its from VONAGE". The number display also says VONAGE. A person named Richard, called me and told I have an offer from them as I am "the only selected customer". He said he can order free additional vonage adapter to the country I am calling to and can be used to call or connect internet by paying $30/month and I need to pay to the specified account.
I asked whether the information available in authorized Vonage web page, for which he said it will not be there in the web page but this will be discussed over the phone.
I just simply cut the phone and called Vonage customer case executive. Customer executive said no such offers and any offers will be displayed in the authorized Vonage web page.

I have received 3 calls from this number and haven't answered yet. One time their was a long silent message.
What is funny is they are actually calling my google voice number, I think their marketing machine scanned my number off a craigslist add or from a facebook business listing, because I can't figure out who else would share this number.
I've never had Vonage, nor do I intend on switching.

They said they were from Vonage. They asked which countries I called the most often.  I said if you are from Vonage, you should have that information. They had misinformation about my account. They wanted to activate a second line or send a free Vonage device to a family member.  I said goodbye.

Vonage trying to sell a call anywhere mobile internet device. Very pushy.

I am a Vonage customer for about 6 months and all of a sudden a never ending deluge of calls from this Vonage 973-559-9989 telemarketing number.  No one ever on the other end and no voice m ails.  Conveniently Vonage does not allow you to block unwanted numbers...and I wrote to them requesting they stop marketing to me as I am an existing customer and they replied saying they would take me off the list.  Lasted a week - now the calls again.
I am going to take my business back to LINGO.  I had them for three years and loved them...more functionality AND you CAN BLOCK UNWANTED CALL NUMBERS.  
Vonage apparently feels that harrassing and annoying their customers it he way to make them happy and loyal.  No thanks!  
And I will keep my number and once on LINGO I can bloack them from calling me.
Ah - revenge is sweet to say the least!

This is Vontage using their automated Sales system trying to sell their service.   This is not a private line they are calling but a business line. Calls all the time, but does not leave a message.  Finally got hold of the company and requested to be put on a do not call list......

How do we stop "Vonage" from making these annoying, daily daily calls???

They called me and they actually know my name. They called my iphone app--" textfree"! I did not even put my teal name on that app when i registered... SCARY!

This number comes to my cell phone  and says this call is coming from Vonage and if any questions to call 1.866 number. when I dial this number 973-559-9989 it goes to Vonage. I call Vonage and they says this is a Vonage number from Jersey. Do not know anyone from Jersey and do not have a Vonage account.

same thing happened to me today! she said her name was Ana and she was from vonage and that since i am a very good customer ( and i have taken vonage only for a month!!) i am entitled for a FREE adapter to a second line which will be shipped to my folks ABROAD so they can call me from that!!!! Inorder to do that, she needs my VONAGE PIN number! I said NO. She tried explaining again and I said I cannot give my PIN, and I am not interested in this offer and if I need it, I will contact Vonage myself, and she hung up before I even completed my sentence.

This is FRAUD. dont you all think?

They been calling me from this number, maybe 2 or 3 times a week.
I see the number and I ingnored, of course they never leave a mesage.

Funny as hell.  They call my Voip line in which I pay a few dollar per month for.  About every week.  Either it's totally unbelievable to them or just can't take no for an answer.  This number will be on my block list now that they've stopped changing the number call after call.

Our business line has been getting these calls a couple times a week for a few months; today I called the Vonage customer service line and didn't have to hold at all. The man I spoke with was very pleasant and put us on the do not call list without trying to sell me anything, which was a relief. The calls have been annoying, but that was probably the easiest, most successful customer service call I've ever had to make. Kudos for that, Vonage. Now just stop calling random people.

Vonage called me from this number trying to push me to buy a second-line. The Indian saleswoman was very pushy.

I received a call from them and, they hung up on me as soon as I answered. I blocked the # and then called it back and did not even get a ring tone...nothing. So then I unblocked and called them, and it rang and happily put me over to a robot voice that claimed I needed to speak with customer service. I finally got a live person on the line and she asked for my name and number that I did not want them to call anymore. I told her that I was NOT giving her my name but the number I gave to her. After a long, and very awkward, pause I was assured that they put me on their 'Do Not Call' list...we shall see! How very interesting that she was trying to get my name for her DNC list. Do people really fall for that?

it is weird i recieved the call and the guy on the other end sounded like he is 14-15 just barely hitting puberty
