Received a call from a woman, she knew my name and asked for someone else.  I said you have the wrong number.  She said well do you know that person?  I said no I do not and started to ask how she got my name but she hung up without saying anything else.  Now my phone keeps ringing and when I answer there is no one there.  This is harassment and I hope through these emails they get caught.

Here is a tip for people to finally get rid of annoying losers like this....If they are harrassing you through a cell phone, simply go into your cell phones settings, set up a blocklist which will only allow your phones contact list to get through...Everyone else will be blocked!

Got many calls from this number in the last week...Finally got on phone....Guy asking for info, told him to get lost before he gets a lawsuit on him...Starting being rude over phone, then told him i also record my phone calls against harrassment of numbnuts like himself and that he will be hearing from his local police department within the next 24 hrs...Never got calls again after that...People, stand up against loser scammers like this and tell them off from the start!

they do not stop calling... been told numerous times not to call here that the person they are calling does not live here yet they still do, for the past 4 months, and we are sick of it

I'm in the same boat, these jerks keep harassing my family and friends claiming I gave them numbers!! I told them straight out stop calling them and they still continue to... they demand a payment plan you can't afford leaving you with no other options and then run their mouth to YOU saying you are unwilling to resolve the matter... it is a collection agency for school loan and I too ended up with an education and no work... always told I am OVER educated/qualified for lower skilled jobs but not enough experience for upper skilled ones. I am perfectly willing to try to start paying off mine even if it takes the rest f my life but they do not want to take what I KNOW I can afford they want over half my income and I have two kids to support!!! They are sharks that pray on people that fall on hard times and God will get even with them all, and i do believe in karma too!!!

They are bottom feeder collectors.  I owe lots of people from over 15 years ago.  If they think I will pay them they can just "SUCK IT"..  I do not answer my phone unless it is from a friend or reletive or unless they leave a message for something I am aware of.  So PCR  just suck it you wont get a penny from ol'-Albert

They claimed they were calling in regards to my student loan, in which I had already cleared up with Sallie Mae.  So, they gave me a reference number and asked me 2 follow up with Sallie Mae after arguing with me and telling me that Sallie Mae no longer had my account. I spoke with Matt Waddell, and someone named Patty left me a voicemail.

This is Pioneer Credit Recovery. They collect debts on behalf of government organizations like Sallie Mae. This is a legitimate number and call. If you got the call, someone listed you or your phone number as a reference at some point. If you talk with them they will remove you from the list. They are looking for my exhusband who listed me as a reference.

I get calls off and on for someone who  is not at my home.

They want me to verify who I am by telling them my birthday, but they won't tell me who they are or what they are calling about.

Received a call this morning, i did not answer but they left a message for me to call them at an 800 number and a reference number.  I have no intention of calling them back since I don't know who they are or what they want. The next time I will answer and then I'll know what their story is and why they are calling me.

Received a call from 973-602-3549. He asked for Daniel Martin. I told him that wasn't me. I felt like a dumbass because I accientally gave him my name. He asked if I had his contact info. Wouldn't give up..he said he had some of his stuff to clear out of the office and asked if he was still practicing law. I insisted that I don't have any info. Is there a way to stop this creep?

Company has been calling house and my sons cell, they do not identify them selves.  I can not get to the phone in time to answer it and they are calling numerous times a day. I want them to stop calling.  Does anyone know how to stop these calls.  I am on the do not call list(?) and I still get wacky calls.

I don't think much of your company to use the excuse" Calling me as reference for my son", in this economy you are using that cause you know people are job hunting and you are tricking someone into answering a call or returning one. My son did not go out shopping a blow money, like many other he is in debt due to receiving an education that got him NO WHERE! So stop treating everyone like criminals your one pay check away from same situation. Just because you work for debt collection you could still use ethics and treat people with dignity. working for collection does not justify your actions of harassing people and there are laws to protect them from your type of BS!!
At least when I work it's to help others and I can look at myself in the mirror. You harass me I have no problem following through on repercussions because this is my phone, not my son's!

so I turned off my answering machine, and now all those 'collection agencies' who are looking for someone with the same name as me get my fax machine.  hope they enjoy that.  sick of it.  I do not answer calls from any outside area code I am not familiar with.

This number called me yesterday morning leaving a message trying to collect a debt from Maricopa County.  This morning I got the same exact voice mail from another person with a different phone number.  I lived in Maricopa county ages 13-14.  I want to know how to get these weird phone calls to stop happening.

Caler ID said PCR. Asked for my husband and then gave a reference number and call back number and mentioned an old friend of mine. When we called back it was some sort of credit recovery something... never did get through to the person ... just got the run around. Feel pretty certain they're looking for someone we used to know that owes some money somewhere. No idea how they got our information; sounds like they're grasping at straws as my husband would never have known anything to begin with for the person requested.

I received a nasty phone call for my daughter of course he wouldn't  tell me what is was about just that he needed to get in touch with my daughter.  He had her cell phone number but claimed she never answered his calls. I refused to tell him where she worked he was fishing for info since he knew what town we lived in.  He then proceeded to asked about the names of my other children he then told me he would call each and everyone of them until he got some one to give him the info he wanted.  He called my daughter who lives in Indiana he called her work and her cell phone number. Left a message on her work phone nothing on her cell phone.  She called me very upset about receiving the call about her sister.  I then called my daughter at work and told her what was going on she called and found out she was late on her payment to Sallie Mae one month behind and they call harrasing half of my family. Best is yet to come my neighbor came over the next morning and told me all about a phone call she received concerning you got it my daughter.  We are no close to these people they are neighbors and of course our bills are our problem not the neighbors thank goodness it was her she is very understanding thought he was calling for a reference for my daughter till she realized he was a bill collector.  How much more can they do to harass and upset people.

Yes, Pioneer is legitimate.  My ex-husband has student loan debt with SallieMae.  Even though my name is not on the loan as a borrower, over the last 6 years I've gotten random calls from many different call centers trying to reach my ex. I repeatedly tell them to remove me as a reference, but I still come up in records from data mining. Pioneer was very polite and professional with me today, I'm sure in response to my own patient demeanor.  

Ask them exactly what needs to happen to get them to stop calling you.  This will often reveal a lot more details than reacting in kind to their aggression.  Ask them to remove you unless they can email documentation/proof.  But once again, data mining will turn your name up again.  

Scan and email your court docket / credit report (black-out or copy-off your SSN. It IS helpful to leave addresses or DOB, since they can get these through public records anyway it's not really private information).  I'VE DONE THIS!!! Child support arrears that weren't mine, I've never had kids.  The addresses on my credit report verified legitimacy of my court docket and who I was.

You can try reporting harassment to your Governor. If you have an Iphone, you can save numbers to a "black list" so your phone doesn't even ring when they call.  

Sucks you have to do the work, but hanging up and doing nothing certainly won't do any good, eh? Just don't get sucked into their anger and arrogance. They win every time you get pissed, yell, and hang up.

got a call Thurs Aug 16th 2012   wasn't home    no message left   search the internet  PCR  in New Jersey it stands for  Post Conviction Relief:   what ever that means
