I get at least 3 calls from this number every week. It's obviously a total scam. The only time I answered a man asked for a donation. When I told him no, he said, "Don't you support jews in Israel?" to which I replied, "I'm an atheist and I only donate to animal charities" and hung up. Why are they calling me at all? I'm so sick of this. I never pick up and they never leave a message.

This place is a scam.  They are relentless.  We have been asking them for years to take us off their call list.  They just keep calling.  If you try to ask them not to call they just hang up on you.  We have a feature on our phone called selective call forwarding.  Since they refused to stop calling we have activated the service and now any calls from their telemarketers are forwarded to their main number: 866-978-7911.

When they try to call us now their calls are forwarded right back to them.  This is a free service from Verizon.  It allows you to selectivly call forward diferent numbers as well.  Everytime they call we add the different numbers to the list.  Now, if they want to stop receiving calls all they need to do is stop calling us.

Hatzalah Rescue Center is a scam.  This thread was five years ago and the organization calls my home at least once every day, sometimes three times.  If I answer, the callers are incredibly rude and unprofessional.   There seems to be no way to stop them.  If there are enough complaints online, maybe they will give up when more people realize that they are frauds.

We just got a new phone number and have been getting non-stop calls from these people.  I assume they use predictive dialing and that is why so many don't get answered.  But when they do the people are rude, and have actually cursed at my wife and made sexual remarks.

I am po'd and have had it.  We have told them to take us off their list many times.  

We went round and round with the phone company (ATT) and they are no help....yet.  It has to escalate first.

Guy today told me it was Hatzalah and then hung up.  He called me right back and asked if I wanted to make a donation.  I told him we were not interested.  He yelled, "You aren't interested in ISRAEL?!?!" and hung up.

I looked up the irs tax-exempt number on the Hatzalah Rescue homepage.It is not registered. The group is not registered by any combination of names Hatzalah Rescue Israel-- it is not  listed as a legal non-profit with the IRS despite the clams on their homepage.

Hey Guys just called the phone company and they told me to just dial *60 and wait for the prompt, it will block this call from being able to call you.

They call very frequently. I noticed that when i don't answer, i get another call 6 hours later. After i answered the 2nd call I got an automated voice message come to my phone 6 minutes later. I wonder if the first call is to check if i am home, in preparation for the 2nd call with the long message.

We've been receiving calls from this number almost every day for the last couple of weeks.  We're in Long Island, NY.  I believe that I actually got a human on this number a few weeks back.  The man had a heavy accent and couldn't seem to get his telemarketing act together.  I believe my husband had spoken to a person from the number prior to that and they were fundraising for a Jewish organization.  Amazingly we received no calls that we knew of during Rosh Hashana or Yom Kippur.  Kind of reinforces that it's a religious organization.

I too have tried calling it back and it says they're declining my calls.

I too have been receiving multiple calls from this phone number.  I received another call from this number on Monday (9/18/2007), and the individual on the other end of the call said she was raising money for Hatzallah Israel.  She quickly asked if she could send me a mailing stating that I had agreed to donate $54.  I quickly declined and hung up before realizing that this was the same phone# that has been plaguing me for so long.

I get this call all the time, and they ask for a MR Hayachi.  I tell them it is the wrong number, and please take me off the list.  No luck.  They are calling from some place trying to get donations from Israel.  I get tons of these calls, and I do not want to donate to anyone.  It's like someone gave out my number as a joke.

Second time this week...hangup on answer

Using my call log I've seen they have called me 21 times in the last 12 days.  When I tryed to call back the message is their number is restricted.  When I called from a remote phone the phone ring changed after 2 rings from a regular American ring tone to a forign bling-bling tone so I suspect it's origon to be European, Middle Eastern, Asian or African.

The website registration is 1493 Coney Island Ave. Their Website says 1491. Lots of inconsistancies here.

Have been recieving multiple calls a day for several weeks. Dead at the other end, wont accept my calls.

Most days I receive 2 or 3 calls from this jerk, but today the number was around 10. How I wish there were a way of strapping this person to a chair and having a phone ring continuously for several days!

I called the organization at (866)978-7911 and told them to stop. They wanted my Name and Address. That would be silly to give them that. I told them my phone number which they already have and told them not to call again as I would pursue it with the FTC and FBI. Boy were they surprised I tracked them down. I have not received any calls today. But the next one that happens will force me to go to the police now that I know who it is. I have already filed a complaint with the FTC.

1 call on 1 day is a mistake. 5 to 10 calls each day for several months is not. You didn't notice an increase in phone costs? I told someone from your organization in the prior week not to call and that I am on the do not call list. Again I was called and told the person not to call. In between I received many calls and hangups. How do I know that you are not calling just to find out when I am home and when I am not? Is this a setup to rob my house? Where do you get your list? How do you know my name? How come this phone number is blocked from receiving calls. Why do your phone numbers have no public information attached to them? Very odd. I would think a legitimate organization has nothing to hide.

What a fraud. I informed your organization I did not want to send you any money and you send me a letter requesting the donation I promised? I didn't promise you anything. I am informing the proper organizations now along with the police. This was no computer mistake.

This place is a complete fraud and scam.  Their telemarketers are ridiculously unprofessional, often insulting or cursing at me when I ask them not to call back.  They also call several times a day at all hours their called ID is fraudulent (they spoof their number).  I have arleady filed a report with the FCC for the fraudulent communications, which I urge everyone else to do, and will be filing with the office of the attorney general as well.
