A partner and I recently opened a business in south Alabama. My partner opened the business with all the information in his name. The only way my name was involved was when he had the credit card information sent from our bank to my E-mail address. I printed the information out for him and left the information inbox in case we needed other copies. A day or so later my E-mail account was stolen through a hotmail scam where they claimed to be the accounting department and would delete my account if I did'nt re-verify my user name and password. They sent E-mails to my contacts stating that I was in malaysia and needed them to send money. We recieved a call from 1-973-688-0061 today on our business phone and they ask for me. A man that could hardly speak English was offering to put our business on Yahoo. It does'nt take a rocket scientist to figure out that they got our telephone number from my stolen e-mail and assumed I was the owner. These tyrants have been turned in to the proper authorities and I suggest that anyone else who recieves a call from this number do the same. Thank you!

I have an ad on craigslist and I got the call twice today, didn't pick it up.

This company called and was trying to sell me search engine marketing services, if they had taken the time to research my company they would have found that we offer the same service and are in no way in need of their services. This is the 2nd SEO call that I have received in the past month.

Why don't they stop calling me??? I keep getting calls from this number so I decided to look it up...lots of posts about it so I am not the only one....

They call me every day. They are Local Pull a Google Local advertising setup service. I tried them, it worked for three days then poof nuttin. They charged my card 360 bucks for years worth of nuttin! I use American Express... They loose. I laugh when I see them trying to regain my business and have told them to stop calling. I have actually written them to put me on the do not call list. They'll have fun next month when I forward the call log to my attorney Ernie.

I just got a call from this number and thought I would Google it.  I have an add on Craigslist for a part time business and they wanted to sell me website service to help the business "grow".  I'm guessing they moniter places like that and then hassle you to buy something you have posted for free.  No thanx!

I got a call on my business line from this number, no message left.  I looked it up and it's a landline from Newark, NJ, Essex County.  Who knows???  Probably trying to sell me something or cheat me out of money somehow.

Just answered it and they were trying to sell me ad space on google! Save me! I can get it myself! When i said I wasn't interested he said "Why not, don't you want to save money"!Duh, I am by not buying what you're sellin!

Therefore, I won't answer vague caller IDs nor do business with cells, business that don't leave messages and have a list of problems as discovered here.  Guess they will just have to go after poor, loney homebodies and steal their cash instead.
Too bad the national no call list is a bit of a joke, not to mention 8 years of political paper tigers on this subject.

They called and just hung up... nothing.... just a waste of my time and effort to get to the phone....  the call came from New Jersey.... I'm really fed up with telemarketers..... those a**holes

Unwanted call, Called 3 times & hung up on me!

Call comes in several times a day.  No one is ever there, just an open line.  We are trying to run a business!  This has been going on for several weeks now.  It needs to stop.

Don't say anything when phone is answered.  Used to hang on for 30 seconds and a recording played we have an 'emergency message for you' please hold on.  Now I just hang up.  If its an 'emergency' doubt that they need us to hold on!

I answered the phone a couple of times and nobody was there. Now I know why. Thanks for the info!!

As mad as I am about the phone calls, my advise to all is to fix the problem rather than to complain or insult.  Doing a simple search I got their contact info and and told them to remove my number as well as registered my number with www.donotcall.gov .

I am getting calls from them every month. They don't take no for an answer and even if you tell them not to call,they still do. Now after maybe 10th time, I just play games with them. I only pick up(and they'll be calling you until you don...) when I am free. I just waste their time on the phone as much as possible and then tell them to f$$$k off.  

They are a bunch of scammers. Absolutely the worst to deal with. I had a buddy who fell for it and then had to go through visa and stuff as nothing was delivered and they wouldn't refund the money. They'd simply avoid his calls,not pick up the phone. All managers suddenly busy and not available

This company bills you via your phone bill. Once they start it is almost impossible to stop.  Don't give them your name.  Don't  let your employees give out their names.  They use this to create office confusion---(eg. "Jack set this up, we just need an approval...")

Again, FOR CLARITY once this service starts it is almost impossible to stop.  They bill as an internet provider (and the charges appear on your local phone bill.)  You local phone company will tell you that this is ALMOST impossible to cancel as they appear aas a 3rd party billing your consolidated bill.

IDT sells person for google & yahoo. Says they got my number off a bussines listing. Yet I am not listed anywhere.  I believe they retrieved it from Craigslist, where I post in the skilled workers / trade listings.

The reason we don't leave messages is because I have never actually recieved a call back from anyone who has been left a message.  However, the people I have spoken with, explained the product to, and tried to answer their questions to the best of my ability, they have called me back and we have gotten them listed.  As far as results, I know it works, because several of my own customers actually is listed on the first page of both Google and Yahoo.

Look, I'm sorry if some of the people here are rude.  I do my best to be polite, explain the service, and make nice with the potiential client.  I enjoy my job because I spend most of the day calling music stores, where I get to gab about instruments, and help them expand their businesses.  If your not interested, please just answer the phone, and tell us, and I promise we'll leave you alone.  I'm working on something to help keep people who have been called out of the list altogether, so if you can help me by doing just that, I think everyone will be happier.  I know I don't like calling people who aren't interested, it's a waste of my time.
